They sure don't make furniture like this anymore. I bought each separately in hopes of finding/purchasing the matching long and tallboy dressers. But I wound up buying a different full set instead. Both nightstands have minor wear as is common in vintage furniture but are otherwise very nice. The one on the left in the first photo is in slightly better condition(I'd say it's a"9" from 1-10. 10 being the best) the other, on the right, a"7.5" on the same scale) has a small bit of finish peeling on the bottom left of the top, and a couple of small nicks in the front but could easily be refinished/touched up by the right person. I believe it's a Walnut wood and they are in good original condition. They are solid and sturdy and quite heavy at that! These wonderful Nightstands/End Tables have a light/medium Walnut stain finish color, and they have interesting details. These Nightstands/End Tables have a charming mid-century style design. And they have antique Brass-finish handles/pulls, see pictures. There are two doors that open and they are working properly and inside there is a bottom shelf along with an inside smaller drawer as you can see in the photos. These Nightstands are not marked. But remind me a lot of Dixie. A fine furniture manufacturer. The original finish on mahogany is very well preserved with only minor wear for antique character. Waxed and polished. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain their patina. Original marble tops have slight discolorations as shown and have been polished and sealed to resist stains. The inlay design is a diamond pattern when viewed from above or when looking at the tables from the front or back sides. When looking at the tables from their side profiles, the inlay design is more of a 4 square pattern. The table tops are inset and there is a raised lip border. The tables are have 2 tiers.
