This is a piece that was built to last with strong and heavy construction throughout. The crest is an ornate and complicated carving of flowing ribbon tied in a double-bow and interlaced with flowers that sprout over and along the frame, likewise carved carefully with a large twisted rope molding lined by a small twisted rope border. The arms flow down into curved handholds, the arm supports terminating in the frame with acanthus leaves sprouting up along the edges.
