Large Gerstner model 052 oak tool chest. The dimensions are 26 long 9-1/2 wide 15-3/4 tall. The box has the original finish which is in very good condition except for the top. The varnish on the top of the box is rough. See photo for a close up. The finish has taken on a beautiful patina over the years. I inspected all the draw joints and they are solid without any cracks or damage. Gerstner model 042 oak tool chest. The dimensions are 20 long 9-1/2 wide 15-3/4 tall. The box has the original finish which is in very good condition and has a beautiful patina. I inspected all the draw joints and they are solid without any cracks or damage. The right edge of the front drop panel has some marks from sanding or filing. My guess is the panel was binding at one time and this was done so the front would close smoothly. All the drawers work smoothly, everything is solid. I do not have the key. This 052 H.Gerstner and Son machinest tool box made in Dayton Ohio USA. Has 11 drawers and all the proper marks and is signed in the back behind the drawers.I have no key but can get one or you can go to Gerstner and get one that comes to you. The box is 26 x 9-1/2 x 16 and made of oak.All the latches are strong and work and the lock pins are strong.The felt is a little warn but kind of gives it that look. The Patina is great. Makes a nice show piece for tackle or nives or all kinds of collectables. Well made solid working condition.

Vintage H.Gerstner & Sons Model O41B Oak Machinists Tool Chest Beautiful
Here we have a fully restored H. Gerstner& Sons model O41B that was manufactured in the 1930's. It is made of quarter sawn tiger oak. Which has been beautifully restored. All the components on the chest are original: the lock, snaps, hinges, corner hardware, finger pull, drawer pulls, mirror and frame and handle. All the green felt has been replaced. It has its original key which was manufactured by Eagle Lock Co. of Terryville, Conn. Eagle Lock was the exclusive provider of locks and keys to Gerstner until their factory burned down in the 1960's. The handle has some leather missing, but considering it is around 80 years old, it still has its shape and carries the load. Also the 2 side snaps have no tension bars, so they move freely, but still lock in place. In spite of being 80 years old, this box is beautiful, and gives one ... morethe opportunity to own a classic Gerstner tool chest. Chest measures: 20" wide, 12 1/2" Tall, 8 3/8" deep.

Gerstner Master Craftsman walnut extender tool chest base. 21 1/2" x 10 3/8" x 9 1/2" with locking front cover that stores under the big drawer. 5 drawer total. Base is in great shape with some scuffed varnish on top locating rails and green baize slight pilling on top and a fade on baize inside cover. Two keys for cover lock included. The chest is constructed of a mixture of solid and veneer quartersawn oak. The dimensions are 20" wide. 12 1/2" high,and 9 1/2" deep, a 041C unit. This chest is extremely well built with superb joinery and quality materials. The drawers have galvanized steel bottoms covered with felt to provide proper moisture free storage. The inside of the locking top is also felt covered. This would be an ideal gift for anyone who is a collector of smaller objects such as jewelry, trout flies, coins or knives.

Looks to be from around 1970 based upon the literature found inside. Style 41C measures 20" wide. 12 1/4" tall, and 9 1/2" deep. It is the deepest of the model 41s by about an inch. As you can see in the photos it is in excellent condition. The front of the chest is slightly lighter in color, maybe faded. The finish on the back is very slightly checked at the sides. Some minor scratches. Felt linings are like new with no stains, soiling, or any problems, although there are two tiny moth holes in top compartment. I do not have the key. This is a early Gerstner& Son out of Dayton Ohio Tool Chest cover. The cover it self is in great condition for it's age with the exception of the left side zipper came out of the catch. I'm sure it can be put back in place by someone who know how to repair zippers. The cover itself has no rips or defects other that what I stated. It was always in a climate controlled environment. For sale is an 11 Drawer Machinists tool box made by H. Gerstner and Sons of Dayton Ohio. Overall good condition for an old tool chest. No ripped or torn felt. Wood is not rotten or gouged(although there are some small scrapes/scratches due to its age) Metal hardware is solid with a little. Very minor, surface rust on corners and locks. There is no key that comes with it, but replacements can be purchased from H Gerstner website for a small cost. The finish on the side handles is starting to flake and some rust is appearing. Here we have a Vintage ~ H. GERSTNER& SONS 9 DRAWER TOOL PROFESSIONAL PATTERN MAKER'S/ MACHINIST TOOL CHEST ~. It measures 29 1/2 inch wide by 13 1/2 inch tall by 11 inches deep. I believe because of the longer size it may be a pattern maker's chest? Regardless. Having 9 drawers and a nice larger size makes for a great tool chest. The quarter sawn, old growth golden oak drawers are really exceptional. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear from age and use- please see pictures. We have not attempted to clean or polish the chest which I imagine will certainly help. The green felt is dirty and worn in some of drawers. I also see a little chip" fairly minor" out of the very top right drawer front seen in picture#7. The outer black fabric also shows expected wear and has a little damage and I believe ... morethe bottom two pulls on the large drawer may not be original because they are a little different than the rest. It also looks like the tool chest had side handles or straps which are longer present and it did not come with a key. This is an unusual Gerstner chest that would make a nice addition to any collection. Up for sale is a vintage Oak Gerstner& Sons tool box in very good condition. The box is very old and has been used continuously. I think it dates back to the late 40's/early 50's. It has also been very well cared for. It has some nicks. Cracks, and war wounds, but overall you will be hard pressed to find a box as old as this one that still looks as nice. Someone used this to make a living and took pride in keeping it nice looking. You can see all the felt is still in tact and pretty clean still. I don't have a key for it. Vintage H. Gerstner& Sons Machinist 11 Drawer Wooden Tool Box Chest With Key A Beautiful Vintage H. Gerstner& Sons Machinist Tool Chest. This is a early oak 11 drawer machinist tool chest made by H. Gerstner& Sons in all original very nice condition with its working lock& key. The only flaws are some wear to the felt and a cracked mirror. The mirror is still available online from Gerstner and can be easily replaced. The chest measures 16" tall. 20" wide and 9 1/2" deep. Also there is an area on the right side where the finish appears to be dull. No damage to the wood, so I'm guessing the original owner spilled some sort of solvent there. When I purchased this, it had newspaper liners in the drawers to protect the felt.they all were dated 1952, so I would think that is the approximate age of the chest. The variation in drawer sizes makes it a good storage chest for just about everything. The front cover is fitted with pins so the cover will slide under the bottom drawer. Solid case and drawer construction with no damage or repairs structurally. I showed one side of all the drawers so you can see they are sound. Plenty of cosmetic issues. Someone has brushed on some sort of satin finish.not sure if or how this will clean off. Felt is gone and there is issues here and there with the leatherette that shows in the pictures. Small Unique Antique Dentist Tool Box - 4 Drawer 1 Display - Gerstner
I've been told this is definitely a gerstner dental box by another owner- 4 normal drawers on the right- standard top well but divided in two sections with mounted plastic pieces for holding small tools/instruments? Next to the drawers is a sort of display platform- there is a square cut into it where they would have sat whatever was being held in here. Could be a really nice jewelry box tool display small microscope kit display etc- the handle is broken see photos- the display section is 7" tall the square insert is about 5 x 5 1/2" The box itself is 16" x 12 3/4" x 8 1/2" outside is beautiful- inside is marked g8- I believe it's a special order gerstner with updated hasps and custom options but can't say 100% for myself because it is not marked.

Antique Gerstner Oak Machinists Tool Chest 11 Drawers Nice Condition Model 52?
Antique H Gerstner& Sons Oak Machinists Tool Chest 11 Drawers Very Nice Condition Model 52? Note: All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great old Gerstner Machinist's Chest for your buying consideration. These chests were made in Dayton. OH. We recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! Great old H Gerstner Machinist's Chest to be used again or to convert to a jewelry box. This appears to be the Model 52. Great oak exposed wood finish on this case. The corners are dovetailed and the corner edges still have their metal protectors on them. The bottom board has a crack in it that runs the length of the machinist's chest. 10 of the 11 drawers are lined with green felt. Some dirtiness from the tools that have been stored in it. The middle drawer ... moredoes not have any felt in it. The mirror is in place in the inside of the lid. All the metal pulls on the 11 drawers are in place. The locking mechanism to hold the front board in place works with the middle latch. There is no key for the lock. The brass metal knobs are still on each of the drawers. The Gerstner name is on the center latch and the sticker with the Gerstner name is still on the front of the case on one of the drawers. There is a scratch on the front board and a chip in the case just below it. See pic#9. The drawers move in and out on the wood guide rails that are tacked/screwed to the inside of the case. The leather handle and metal bracket is attached to is still on the top of the case. The leather itself shows cracking. All the latches are in place and still securely attached to the case. I have just wiped the case down. It still needs a deep cleaning to restore it to its' former beauty. The chest is 16.5" tall. By 27" across, by 9.75" wide. This is a heavy machinist's chest, so expect the shipping cost to reflect that and what is necessary packing wise to protect it well. All wood. Nice patina, with a leatherette outer covering. all original hardware. 14 drawers(of various sizes) with a sheet of metal-covering underneath each drawer. Has a separate drawer for the original manual. 11th edition, which is in very good condition. The manual has finger tabs to find sections(similar to Bible tabs. Has a Yale spring lock with key and has latch locks on each side of the case. The handle is worn. Overall. Considering its age(approx. 72-years-old) it is in very good condition.

Caution: Please read conditions at bottom of this narrative. Here is the larger of my uncle’s two tool boxes. As you can see. It is a H. Gerstner& Sons, 11 drawer, Model 052. Look at this and you will see minor damage just to the right of the main clasp in the front of the lid with another damaged spot on top of the lid in between the handle. On the bottom are scuff marks from being scooted around. Other than that, this is a beautiful example of 1950’s craftsmanship. All of the original hardware is still soundly in place and all clasps and hinges in good working order. This tool box even still has the original 1955 Machinist Handbook in the drawer! For sale is a wonderful vintage H. Gerstner& Sons Model 52 11 Drawer Machinist Tool Chest Box in golden oak. Overall excellent condition. Never refinished, great vintage patina that can't be replicated. Measures 26" wide, 16" high, and 9.5" deep. Slight staining on felt in drawers as to be expected in machinists toolbox but all felt is intact, includes center drawer machinist manual, and is really a fantastic vintage piece. This item has been passed down through generations and hasn't been used in 10+ years. In drawlers are an assortment of tools ranging from sockets. Drill bits, chisels and wrenches. All fools are older and are in good condition for their age. Names of tools include Husky h3183 wrenches as well as craftsmen drill bits. Also included is an storage display box.
