The chest is made of solid rosewood. And not veneer, and is finished on all 4 sides plus top; with a cedar lined inside. The style is classic with subtle Asian touches evident in the brass latch hardware. And the feet of the chest. There are no carvings. The hardware is solid brass. It has a classic look. Never goes out of style, mixes well with modern or traditional decor. Could be used at the foot of a bed, for a coffee table, a TV stand, and many other uses. Condition: a few minor nicks and scuffs. I'm not sure what kind of wood is on the inside but it appears to be solid mahogany. It's in rustic shape but very good condition just surface wear on the finish.
