This is one gorgeous piece of wood. It is burled walnut and is from the early 1800s. It is a lap desk or maybe used as a bed tray. It is 32" long and 14" tall. It is in really nice condition. You can obviously tell it is a true antique but I don't see any chips on the edges, etc. Please ask if you have questions. Beautifully built and wonderfully decorated with burled walnut accents. It has a classic. Timeless style that is hard to find these days, a quality that just isn't found in modern furniture any more. I believe this set was made in the 1930's. As indicated by the brass tag used on the inside of the buffet drawer(pictured) The set is in very good condition! Very solid and kept well. There's a few spots of age on the buffet and some signs of use, but for a set that is 80+ years old, it's to be expected. Up for sale we have a most attractive Antique Shaving Dresser Mirror. This piece can be used on top of a dresser or any place in the home a beautiful Antique mirror would be appreciated. The mirror is in outstanding condition for a piece from the late 19th century. The base has bun feet and the sides have nicely hand turned finials. The mirror measures 22 tall by 21" wide at the base by 9 1/2" in depth. The mirror itself is 16" tall by 15" wide in its frame. It works beautifully and has its original mounts in excellant shape. It stands up straight and firm with no wobbling. There are three spots on the base that have veneer chips(see pictures) There are a couple of surface scratches on the back covering that can be easily touched up. Two center doors open to reveal bar area with picks on the door, slide out mixing area, glass shelf for glasses, and large open space for bottles. Left door has locks on the inside that latch, then close the right hand door and lock with the key to keep the minors out. One drawer below double doors that does not lock for extra storage. This Ar-moire is in beautiful condition and has been passed down to me with the following info. The items actual date of manufacture is unknown. But has been stated as being 1890-1899. Material used for construction has been stated to be Burl Walnut. Item was originally purchased at an estate sale in Beverly Hills, CA. Weight of item has been stated to be in excess of 300 lbs. but never actually taken. Item is stated as being 100% original in hardware and materials used. Now for what we know for sure. This Ar moire is very large! Measures 76" tall(from bottom of legs to tallest point. Center) with 72 1/2" across(from left to right edge, center) and a depth of 19 1/2" Diagonally(from bottom left corner, across face, to top right corner) it measures 102" The wardrobe is sectioned into three pieces. The left two thirds share ... moretheir interior space and have a beautiful brass closet style rod spanning its length, with original brass hangers and hooks.The right most third of this wardrobe is partitioned, and has three adjustable shelves and an original glass mirror(48x14x1/4) mounted on inside of door. Above the mirror is one of the items two manufacturers stamps, MADE IN THE CITY OF BATH, ENGLAND(as pictured) The other is hand stamped on rear of door latches, and is a very clear"C& A" The construction is absolutely flawless and has absolutely no issues inside and out. Burled Walnut 1960s Rootes Singer Gazelle Instrument Panel
This is a beautiful burled walnut 1960s right drive Singer Gazelle dash with the instruments. Switches, lamps, ventilation controls and other items in place. The wood veneer is in fine condition unlike the often cracked and raised veneer on US Rootes cars from the period. The only defect in the veneer I can see or feel is the hint of a crack on the far left between the ignition switch and panel light switch. The piece came from the UK and I have had it put away for thirteen years. Since many of the items this dash contains are common to other Rootes cars of the time. I thought it might be good to have it as a possible parts source. However. The main reason I bought it was because it is so beautiful to display. I never wanted to rob anything off it. And never have. It is very similar to dashes used in the more commonly seen Sunbeam Alpine ... moreand Sunbeam Rapier. Included are the speedometer. Fuel gauge, temperature gauge, main and panel light switches, instrument lamps, wiper switch with washer pump, ignition switch(but without the key) the four colored warning light lens(but not the bulbs and bulb holders) heat and ventilation controls, blower switch, voltage regulator, mounting brackets and a few other items. I have not tested any of the components. But all look outwardly good to me.

The height from the floor to the bottom of the writing surface measures 29 ¼” This Outstanding Victorian Cylinder Roll Desk is clearly a piece of the very finest quality of the period, not to mention it is a burl-lover’s dream come true! The top is graced with a beautiful masterfully carved top section gallery. This beautiful top gallery adorned with arched crown moulding above a center carved floral medallion along with elegant pierced carved filigree foliate scrolls and floral carvings. There have been ... moresome small cosmetic repairs done to this beautiful gallery crown which in no way impact its beauty or stability. Ample display opportunity for your special collectibles is found on the gorgeous double shelf sections. FOR SALE IS A RARE PRE- BANNED FAUX IVORY JUDGE OR MAGISTRATE GAVEL WITH A BURLED WALNUT HANDLE. THIS IS A VINTAGE QUALITY GAVEL WEIGHING 5 1/2 TOTAL OUNCES. THE GAVEL MEASURES 9 1/2 INCHES IN TOTAL LENGTH BY 2 1/2 INCHES WIDE. THE GAVEL DOES HAVE A CRACK ON ONE HEAD AND A SMALL CHIP AND SOME WEAR ON THE OPPOSITE HEAD.
