The looking glass is in wonderful condition. I would assume it had been replaced except that there is a spot on the bottom showing some minor silver loss. The original finish is intact as a medium walnut stain. There is a presentation plaque that can be seen in the photos. It is a great mirror for a mantle or as a wonderful accent to your room. It is accented with a superbly executed three sided craved back gallery. Chip carved body, full interior behind its roll door with drawers, document cubbies and a pull out work surface with a freshly installed piece of green leather. This is a beautiful burled walnut or teak desk set in very nice condition. I'm not absolutely sure of the wood type. The coloring is more teak. But I don't think teak has a burled wood. The set includes: paper tray-15" x 10 3/4" x 2.5" pen set with no pens-9 x 4 1/4" note paper holder-5 x 7 x 1.5, pen and pencil holder- 2.5" square x 4" tall, ashtray- 6.5x 6.5. The bottom has black felt to cover the wood. It is a very impressive set.

Solid Hand made Burled Walnut? Wood Cribbage Board with Six Pegs Appears to be burled walnut. But I could be incorrect. Hope the pictures are clear enough for you to decide wood type on your own. Lovely grain and the sides are the beautiful bark of the tree. Could not be more unique. Natural or artistically pretty! Two holes on the side. Covered with a brass plate hold the 6 pegs. 3 pegs are black and 3 are blonde. I find that putting the first peg into the hole thick end first. Then the next two thin end first keep the pegs from getting stuck in the hole. The black work best. On the left hole and the blonde on the right(sides determined when board is laying flat on the table) Bottom is felted so it won't scratch the table top. Fine 1870s Eastlake Burled Walnut Settee/Sofa
The is an original"Eastlake" settee/sofa made of solid American Black Walnut with burl insets of the same. It is American-made. Probably around 1870 to 1880 in imitation of the designs made popular by Charles Eastlake. The entire piece has been reglued and refinished. It is very solid and sturdy. The center back stile, top rail, bottom rail, and arms are carved with graceful motifs characteristic of the"Eastlake" style and are inset with elegant burled Walnut details. It is important to note that while the piece has been restored and the wood, springs, and stuffing are in great condition, it should be reupholstered. I am providing a detail of the left arm showing a tear in the fabric. I am selling this item for local pickup in Washington, DC.

This is a beautiful solid walnut Victorian game table with 3 leaves. With the leaves. It will expand from a round table that is 48" in diameter to a 96" x 48" oval. The table legs have carved wooden wheels. The seats on the 6 chairs have been re-caned with cane webbing and may be used with or without the custom gold with burgundy piping pads. You can easily reupholster the pads if you want. I love the lines of the chairs. The burled walnut on the legs and drop of the table top and the detailed carving in the legs. This was my kitchen table for many years. Unfortunately, we have downsized and can no longer use it. It is in excellent condition considering its age.

The glass is SLIGHTLY bubbled. Not like the drastic bubble glass in most cases. I think this photo is so sweet. This wood part frame is NOT PERFECT. It has a few flakes and I think in photo 1(top left) you can see the veneer is crackley. The veneer is crackley and I'm not sure why the photos didn't pick up on that better. The panels measure 4 by 5 1/4 inches by 5/16 inch thickness and are veneered with the base veneering burled walnut. These pieces were originally bookends. I suspect for a slide book shelf. These were modified into hanging plaques years ago. I have used these to hang in the curio as a back drop for other collectibles. I do not appreciate any loss of the inlaid wood on the intricate design. These pieces are truly a work of art. Beautiful banding and rounded edges. Brass medallions at top of legs. Brass feet. Made in France. We bought this beautiful table in 1978 from a French antique dealer on Robertson Blvd in LA. At that time. It was over 100 years old. There is some water damage at the center of the table. But it is lovely and still very sturdy and in good condition. A crafty person could even do a fun new inlay, or even shorten the table by cutting a bit out of the center. This was once probably an expandable table, but if there was ever a center leaf, we never had it.

1920's Art-Deco China Hutch This is a beautiful 1920's Art-Deco China hutch in the Waterfall style. Made out of burled walnut and walnut veneer it is in overall excellent condition with the exception of two small chips on the bottom of the right door which can be seen from one of the photos(Hardly Noticeable) It has brass pulls on the drawer and bottom doors. The drawer opens and closes smoothly and the bottom doors open up to one large open cabinet. The top half has a glass center door which opens to a large space with two removable shelves. The glass center door has a full decorative insert behind the glass which may times is broken or removed. High chest(chest on chest) dresser with mirror, vanity with mirror, nightstand(end table) vanity bench and chair. The set features dovetailed drawers. Shapely forms, foliate carvings, gorgeous Wreath with confined Marquetry, French scrolled legs, highly decorated aprons and Leafy scrolled feet, elaborate curves and details. Original brass hardware. This set dates back to around the 1920's and has substantial weight.
