Up for auction I have an amazing vintage brown leather doctors bag. It is marked on the bottom"18 331 Genuine Cowhide Made In USA" The bag does have overall age and wear issues. Amazing little metal bottoms. Some wear to leather in corners and in edges where it naturally sits. Perhaps needs some leather oil. Really great old airline stickers on both sides. The old American Airlines sticker is the brightest with another above it. The other side has one that says Challenger and I can't make out the other one. Someones initials have been stamped in gold but are worn away a bit"MSS" The stitching is coming away by the opening on the front as you can see in the picture. Also. One corners leather is coming away from the lining where it needs to be mended. Metal hinges on the top open the bag really nicely. Inside is really ... moreclean and nice. Handle shows light wear. Antique Mohair Teddy Bear& Monkey. Josephine Snookie& Miss Mumbles In Suitcase, Offered here is Miss Josephine(Jo for short) and her friends Snookie Bear and Miss Mumbles the monkey. Josephine is an antique mohair bear that dates to at least the 1930's but was probably made even earlier as her nose has been hand darned(like a sock) and is not embroidered. She has been handcrafted from what was probably an antique mohair carriage robe. She has glass eyes and she is fully articulated. Her joints are a bit floppy. Miss Mumbles is a vintage monkey with a hand painted face. She is made of synthetic fuzzy fur and she wears a vintage crocheted shawl that is held at the neck with a tiny brass safety pin. Miss Josephine and her clothing were originally found at a local antiques sale and she was sealed in this wonderful antique metal suitcase that had not been opened for so long we had to use WD-40 to get it open. We introduced her to her two friends who had already lived with us for several years(to whom she has grown ever so fond) so that she would not have to travel alone. This is a vintage doll trunk. It measures approximately 18" X 9" X 9" The inside of the trunk has a pattern that shows children playing. The shelf on the inside has a slight bend to it due to age. There are two latches on the outside of the trunk to keep it closed. They do work. But they have some rust. There are two stickers on the trunk. One is an American Airlines sticker. The other has been ripped, so you can't read the whole label. There is slight discoloration throughout. Please refer to photographs for more details.

Antique Chinese Leather Suitcase, Genuine, Purchased In Beijing
This suitcase is the real deal- it clearly has some interesting history. I purchased this at a market in Beijing and hand-carried it back to the US. This is interesting as an antique and/or piece of decor- it is no longer a functional suitcase. Please look at the photos to get a good idea of it's condition. It's seen a lot of hard use an is pretty beat up. Which is also what makes it interesting. At present it is locked and I don't want to force the hardware to try to open it for photos. This is a wonderful walrus or seal leather antique suitcase. It is in remarkable condition for it's age! All of the hardware and leather handle etc. is there! The front hardware works. But one side is a little stiff and the closure can pop open, an easy adjustment I would think for someone who knows what they are doing. It has a beautiful antique patina. The category that I have placed in(due to lack of choices) says 1900-1950 but I believe it is pre 1900. There is some splitting and cracking of the leather on one end, exposing wood? please see pic for best description. Rare Antique Walrus Seal Leather Suitcase Travel Case NR!
This is a wonderful antique walrus or seal leather suitcase with original hardware and leather straps. Handle& buckles. It is in remarkable condition for it's age! Nothing is missing as far as I know. It measures aprx. 22 1/2" x 13" I would describe it as a large suitcase, please see pic with wine bottle for best reference. I listed it in this category because of lack of choices, I believe they are pre 1900. I do not see a makers mark, there is a name on the front closures hardware but I can't make it out, there is also patents pending on the front latch and I think the number 118(can't be certain about the numbers) The inside looks nice too. I do not know what the material is that the inside is lined with. It is clean, no strange or musty smells that I detect. Looks like all the original straps& buckles are ... morethere for the inside as well. There is a section that snaps in the center of the case that looks like it is for papers or maps or something to keep rather stiff, please see pics. The leather on the outside is very nice with a wonderful antique patina, I have not cleaned it, I will leave that to buyers preference. There are some white spots and wear, that now looks like a light brownish suede rather that the grain leather, again please see pic. I believe the white spots are typical of leather and can be removed with a cleaner/conditioner. I am selling it as used and as is. Vintage Antique Luggage Suitcase Hard Case Travel Brown Tan Tweed Striped
The outside dimensions of this suitcase are 14 inches high. 21 inches wide and 7 inches deep. As you might expect, the exterior shows some wear and tear. The stitching& the leather trim are in good shape except for one spot on the bottom right of the suitcase(please see picture) The handle is in good shape but does show signs of wear and tear in the leather. There is no key but the latches still latch, but they do need a little help latching. Possibly some lubrication would help them out, will leave that to the new owner! The hinges are still well attached and remain in good working order. Inside, the lining and elastic pocket on the lid are intact and in really good shape. The bottom still has all three of elastic pockets with the elastic in the two side pockets in great shape but the longer pocket across the back showing signs of being ... morestretched out. As you can see in the picture the lining in the bottom of the suitcase has been cut out/removed. This is still a sturdy and functional piece of luggage. You are bidding on/ buying an ANTIQUE 1920s GENUINE COWHIDE LEATHER STEAMER TRUNK. I come across quite a few suitcases. I have yet to see one in as good a shape. And as unique a design as this one. It is the size of a small suitcase. But shaped like a trunk. It measures 24 inches across the front 13 1/2 inches deep, and 10 inches tall. It has steamer style straps. Silver accent hardware, all original. It almost has a walrus or elephant texture to the hide of the material. You can see the patterning up close in photo 12. The top part of this piece expands up about 3 inches if you fill it to do so. If not it sits flat. Photos 8& 11. There are 2 straps around the case. In great condition. There are 2 original Leather Straps that are attached on the back side& buckle on the bottom. So you can carry this wooden pack on your back. The TOP& BOTTOM of this item is made of BENTWOOD. The FRONT, BOTTOM& BACK is made from one piece of wood. The TOP and the BACK SIDE up to the Leather Hinge is made from one piece of wood. The two side panels are separate pieces of wood. There is a 1 1/4" high leather strip across the back that acts as a hinge when the top is open. There are copper rivets-nails that attach the two leather back pack strips on the back side. The front metal closure works well and stays closed ~ you pull down the metal ring and it releases the lock. The wood pieces are held together with metal ... morerivets-nails. Size: 9" tall, 12 1/4" wide, 3 1/4" deep ~ the Leather Straps are: 19" long& 3/4" wide. There is plenty of space inside this Back Pack ~ Book Case to hold items. Condition is very good considering its age and that this item was used.the wood on the 2 sides where the wood curves have wear& dents on the edges( all 4 curves on the top& bottom) and there is a 1" split-crack in the wood on the back side just above the leather hinge strip. There is a" make-do" metal buckle replacement ~ a metal hook was used to replace a metal buckle. But over all this item is in very good condition. Up for sale is a 1940 Sonora tube radio model KBU-168 in portable leatherette case. It is a 5 tube AM radio with internal loop antenna. Radio was recapped and tubes tested. New dial light and power cord were installed. Reception is good. Tuning is scratchy. Noisy. There are some stains on leatherette upholstery. Antique Suitcase with Unusual Handle
I love this antique suitcase. It is a nice boxy shape and has and absolutely beautiful molded handle like an acorn. Brass trimings on the corner openings. The inside is finished in burgundy silk which has some fading and the 3 elastic pockets are stretched out. Only a couple of small tears on the inside panel. The clasps work but you need to hold the button over manually and press it shut. The darker brown trim is also coming away in spots. It was originally used to carry an accordion. It measures 18" x 15" x 9" and weighs 7 pounds.

This antique leather suitcase was used by its original owner while at LaSell College in 1927-1928. A LaSell label can be seen on the top as well as one for Dartmouth College where her father and brother attended. Other than some stitching that has come loose on the bottom. The suitcase is in good condition. The leather handle. Front latch, two side clasps, and back hinges are all secure and working. The beautiful blue print lining is not torn but is stretched and shows some staining from age and use. On the front the original owner’s initials M.N. are printed in gold and a tiny fragment of paper shows her address in Winchester. MA. This antique suitcase not only has weathered well. But it has held on to its history.

Don't Miss This Item! A super rare little find for all sewing and needlework collectors! This is and Antique 19th Century Needle case called'The Valetta' Although unmarked for this company. The same design of case was sold by Faudel, Phillips& Sons of London during the great Victorian Exhibition at Crystal Palace in the 1850s and 1860s. These cases were sold as souvenirs and marked with the words'Crystal Palace' This little item does not bear any souvenir slogan by does have a small ornamental decal and it is ruby red coloured, rather than brown. It does NOT bear the name of Faudel, Phillips& Sons, who where an important retailer of that period, however it is in my opinion of the same design. The small suitcase is held together via two straps that hook onto small pins at the front of the case. It opens up to reveal ... moretwo golden coloured compartments. Inside the first compartment are a selection of needles with gold tops. The paperwork says"Sharpe Embroidery Crewel Tapestry. The Valetta Needle Case, Tap, Crewel, Straw, Darners, Between, Chen, Superfine Needles for Sewing and Artwork" On the opposing side is a swatch of wool felt(I think) for holding pins. This is a flap that open to another compartment below. Where there are large needles and also another compartment within the box. It's such a lovely thing! I will describe it's condition the best I can. As I see it. For it's age the outer case is in reasonably good condition. There are a some scuff marks and some wear to the straps where they have been opened and closed. The tips of one has separated some. Some tarnishing to metalwork. However, overall there is nothing that I would consider MAJOR damage in as much as the box is not splitting or falling apart. Inside, it is in great condition with no damage other than a expected signs of aging. Up for auction is a NICE ANTIQUE SUITCASE DEAGAN STANDARD BELLS 2.5 OCTAVE MODEL 1508. The case shows some use with chips to the oak veneer at the edges. The leather handle is still present but I would advise to not use it to lift. The low"D" bar is a recent replacement done in the original Deagan factory in Chicago. The high"C# is not pinned in. This unique sewing case is definitely 100 + years old. It is 3 1/8' long and 1 3/4' deep. The material on the outside of the case looks like velvet and the 2 suitcase straps may be silver but I am selling it as just a shinny metal. The FRONT, BOTTOM& BACK is made from one piece of wood. The TOP and the BACK SIDE up to the Leather Hinge is made from one piece of wood. The two side panels are separate pieces of wood. There is a 1 1/4" high leather strip across the back that acts as a hinge when the top is open. There are copper rivets-nails that attach the two leather back pack strips on the back side. The front metal ... moreclosure works well and stays closed ~ you pull down the metal ring and it releases the lock. The wood pieces are held together with metal rivets-nails. It's very solid and quite heavy. Made by American firm Leed's Tested Travelwear. This particular style is known as a'wardrobe suitcase' And came about in the 20s and 30s. When ship travel was giving way to air travel, and clothes also became less bulky and so smaller luggage was sufficient. It's a hybrid between the classic wardrobe trunk, and a suitcase, but still having the sections and hanging facilities of a wardrobe trunk. Hartmann’s version was called a“Tourobe. And Wheary’s a“Wardrolette" and they are designed to fit under a"Pullman" berth, in the sleeper car of a train. It has handles on two sides so it can carried ... moreeither horizontally or vertically. It has removable dividers inside. Making different sections, and canvas covers that fix in place with poppers. In the lid section there are two metal fold-out rods, made to take hangers. Height: 29.5 inches Width: 20.5 inches Depth: 9 inches Condition Grade PRISTINE/PERFECT- as new with no signs of wear or flaws EXCELLENT- previously worn or used with no notable flaws VERY GOOD- Worn with minor noted flaws. Needs no repair, useable GOOD- visible wear. Noted flaws, light repair required or optional FAIR- numerous noted flaws. Needs repair, may not take repeated use POOR/CUTTER- damaged beyond repair. Study piece only, not useable Condition report: Overall this is in remarkable condition for an item of this age. My last few photos show examples of the kind of wear. But don't show every single flaw. The outside has a few dents. Scrapes and marks, but nothing significant, see pictures 8, 9 and 10. The canvas covers on the inside are slightly coming away from the edges. And there are a handful of rust spots here and there on the canvas, see picture 11. Beautiful Louis Vuitton Monogram Trunk Fantastic vintage Louis Vuitton trunk. Very nice case in monogram canvas. The brass hardware is all intact and very strong. The original key is included! Very rare to have the key along with the case! The trunk does have some wear throughout but overall is in wonderful vintage condition. The canvas shows wear mostly on the sides and a bit on the top of the case. The rivets all say Louis Vuitton. Corners on top were painted with yellow. Along with initials G.C.C. on each end.
