Antique German Suitcase Candy Container French Fashion Bisque Doll Display!
Featured here for your bidding consideration is this antique German suitcase candy container in the perfect scale to display with your antique French and German fashion dolls! This delightful little box would also serve nicely as a trunk to house your tiny all bisque doll. This example has a cloth hinge in good working order. And its original pot metal swivel handle. It is covered in a pretty floral paper with an embossed texture. As well, it is decorated in silver metallic papers and braided trim. Once upon a time it had a bit of ruched silk along the top on both sides that has disintegrated with time and is now exposing the cardboard underneath. Inside, the bottom compartment is trimmed with delicate paper lace. Though unmarked, candy containers like this one were made in Germany in a variety of styles for various holidays, and date back ... moreto the 1920's and earlier. This splendid little piece measures roughly 5 1/2" long by 2 1/2" high and 2" deep. For size reference. I show the candy container being held by an 18" German bisque doll, and with a small all bisque mignonette measuring 4" tall. Very Vintage Antique Leather Cornered Belted Suitcase Motoring Trunk Steampunk
For your consideration.An Antique and very Vintage entirely leather,and leather cornered) suitcase and or as once called, motoring trunk"Determined age is most likely from between 1920- 1950.It has much character, and functions as originally intended, minus the key for the brass push lock.Obviously well made enough to last till this day,it is all leather including all 8 corners.The lock, buckles,snaps, and rivets are all brass, or brass plated.There is a detailed border striping around the top and each side, and the liner inside is still intact.The stitching is very heavy and I do not see one area on the entire item that has unraveled.Upon searching the in& outside, I was only able to come up with 3 identifiable marks.The latches on each end are made by Corbin, the lock has the letter"A" just above the key hole, and the ... morenumber 8 is embossed into the leather on the rear panel.A name and address from the previous owner is written in ink on the left rear corner,which has only a route& box listed, no street address.Item came from a rural area.No cleaning has taken place on this item,only wiped down to remove surface dust, and swept nicely on the inside.There is one strip of leather& buckle for the inside top panel that is missing,and the outside belt on the left front side is worn, almost detached. For auction is a fascinating antique black chest that is 12.5 inches wide. 12.5 inches deep and 7.5 inches tall. It has a hinged lid with two fastening clasps on the handle side. The inside is lined with a kind of gray felt. Given the interior partitions, I wish I knew exactly what this chest was designed to hold. Perhaps you know. I cannot determine precisely the composition of the chest walls. Each corner has a protective metal corner and metal brads hold the case/chest together. The hinges have the word"Corbin" on them. The handle appears to be leather coated with a stitched seam. The case is sturdy and sound with no holes, but it does have excessive wear: dents, rusting, staining, scratches. There are a complete set of cards and all the wooden numbers plus a box of the small glass pieces used to cover the numbers when your number was called. this is unusual to find these glass number covers. the side of box says JRT NY. I could not find this early Lotto set anywhere on line. I'd date it to 1890 but I am not sure. label says McLoughlin Brothers New York. We have an excellent condition cedar lined trunk by the Whittle Trunk& Bag Company of Knoxville. TN. This is a Cedarobe trunk. This trunk has 4 cedar drawers on the right side and the left side has wood hangers and a removable small suitcase that matches. Overall this trunk is in remarkably great condition for its age. I do not know the exact date it was made. This trunk is antique and will not be perfect. The trunk measures 40 ¾ inches tall, 21 5/8 inches side to side and 24 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 84 pounds.

Antique Wind-up Phonograph Suitcase - Unusual Silvertone
This is the most unusual wind up phonograph have ever seen. I know nothing and can not find another one like it. Silvertone. It looks like it has the arm of an electric model and has the strangest needles(3) They look like a lightning bolt a little. It plays great. Motor seems fine. Can not get only a very low sound. The knob on from that someone had written around does not make a difference. Also.There is another hole on the front lower right that I have no clue about. The turning handle does not fit in there. As you can see there are a few missing pieces on the inside. The case. Handle, and fabric are great. There are screw holes on both sides of the case where it looked like latches had been. The handles are leather as well and the tag on the pocket states that it is top grain cowhide with the Tanners Council of America Seal. This bag measures 18' X 9½' X 10' high. When opening you can adjust the bag to keep the top open while you are putting in or removing items. Great so that it doesn't keep partially closing. It has four brass feet and a large metal zipper which works easily. Great design in the leather. I've shown a close up. Very thick leather, not flimsy, could be why this bag has lasted so long. The inside is a plaid fabric lining in a lovely coffee with cream coloring. No holes or damage other than a few small spots of something which ... moreI have not attempted to remove. One ample pocket in the back. The handles are leather and function as they should. There is one spot that I have shown which could use gluing although still attached and holding. Not loose from the brass piece. Some small amount of wear to the edges as expected due to it's age. The latch does lock although no key was found with it. Beautiful Antique Suitcase w/ Antique travel stickers 1930's-40's
I'm not a pro. But my guess is that this beautiful suitcase is from the 1930's-40's. It's not in perfect condition, as it was found deep within my late Grandfather's garage. There was nothing in it besides a few cobwebs(which I gently removed) and a single button. The button is still in the case. I believe there quite the story behind this suitcase, hence the stickers on it, and it's age. Its got that Antique smell and perfect patina. Any questions, feel free to ask. Antique LOT: 1920s Suitcase Shwayder Trunk Mfg. Co & '30s Cornell U Gym Clothes
Antique 1920s Suitcase by Shwayder Trunk Mfg. Co. with Cornell U. Gym Clothes This is an early Cornell University student travel train case or suitcase from the 1920's. This was made by The Shwayder Trunk Co. which later became Samsonite. The size is about 24" l x 8" w x 13" high(closed) There is an old paper university seal on one side that reads"The Cornell University" This leather(or faux leather) case has a pair of outside straps made of a hard rubber. The case has metal protectors at all of the corners. With black coating on them(possibly nickel or nickel plated) This has the last owner's monogram on the top- LMB' in gold. The center lock latch works and reads: Shwayder Trunk Mfg. Co. no key) The outside pair of latches are also marked: Shwayder, Denver, Detroit. The inside is a brown plaid type of ... morematerial, very stiff, on top of a center cardboard divider, with 4 leather straps to hold clothes in place. Problems: 1 inside strap is broken/detached from the case; some wear to the lining(unknown material) a small tear near an outside corner; the outside rubber straps(2) are deteriorating BUT have a heavy woven center core. There is a patent pending number on the hard rubber handle that dates it to 1928. We are not certain if this is LEATHER OR FAUX LEATHER. It is stiff with a textured surface like leather but the stiffness tends to lead us to think it might be what is called leatherette. There are no strong odors. Just some mustiness as this sat unopened for quite some time. Along with the suitcase. Are the clothes that were packed inside. There are a number of pieces of women's gym clothes. The initials on the suitcase match the students name which is marked inside each piece of clothing. In full or as just initials, LMB(Lucile M. Backus) According to a Google search, she graduated in the Class of 1936. CLOTHING INCLUDES(no sizes marked on garments- they seem be in the range of small to medium- kept loose in that time period for young ladies in athletic programs) 1 pc.

Small Antique Steel Trunk, Suitcase, Auto Trunk? Interesting Decorative Item!!!
I've had this steel trunk for years and always thought it had been made to be an auto trunk but now I'm not sure as I found a site on trunks that showed steel trunks with nubs on the top like this one. It said that the nubs were there to protect the top from trunks being stacked on it so who knows? At any rate. It's pretty cool in a rustic, decorative way. Although it has some superficial rust on top, the trunk is still quite functional with all the parts intact and a functioning lock with key. The lock has a really interesting locking system. The lid has a small mirror on the inside. The only thing that is not original is a small nut and bolt that I installed to reattach the hinge as the original bolt and nut was gone when I got it. The trunk measures 21.5" x 12.5" x 9" so it is quite small which is a good thing ... moreif you are considering it for a decorative item. It weighs just under 7 pounds. It was painted this way when I got it so I can't be blamed for the color. If you don't like it you can always repaint it to your own taste. Shipping via UPS depends on the location of the buyer. 3 ANTIQUE STYLE WOODEN NESTING SUITCASE STORAGE BOXES
Up for auction are these 3 NESTING wooden decorative ANTIQUE-looking SUITCASE/ storage boxes. They are extremely sturdy. Attractive, and practical storage items. The interior of the largest measures 16" x 10 1/2. The interior of the middle SIZE measures 14" x 8 1/4. The smallest measures 11" x 6. All have decorative leather trim and ornate gold painted corner trim w/ gold beads. The smaller two have faux leather strap closures-actually they close w/ snaps. The largest size does actually close with leather straps. All are in very good condition.Perhaps the LEATHER straps on the largest case could use some leather cream as it appears a bit dry. SEE PHOTOS. Also they have deep storage- each case is 3 1/2" 4 1/2" and 5 1/2" deep without including the top storage area.

Antique Fraternal Uniform Suitcase Knights of Pythias With Dress Gear
This is an amazing piece of fraternal memorabilia from a member of the Uniform Rank of the Knights of Pythias. The person was a member of a chapter in Lancaster PA. Judging from the leather case and the print I would date this somewhere around the late 1800's to very early 1900's. All of the contents are in very good condition. The suitcase is 18 1/4"long x 12"wide and 12" high. The contents are: Plumed Head Dress. Epaulets, collar or sleeve rank epaulets, gloves, body strap with buckle and a ceremonial staff tip. The leather suitcase is in very good condition but missing one buckle on front and a short length of strap. The name etc. of the side are hand painted and brightly colored. The Uniform Rank. Knights of Pythias or U.R.K.P are a fraternal organization that was started in 1876 and came into legal being in 1878. ... moreThe U.R.K.P. became known as the"Knights of The Lilly" thus the Lilly insignia on the garments. Vintage/Antique Bonded Leather Suitcase with Combination Lock. Well worn but still has alot of miles left. Great patina! Has"Bonded Leather" embossed on the bottom. There's a bit of torn leather on the handle but the actual handle is made of metal and is very sturdy. There are someone's initial embossed by the lock. There are 2 screen partitioned sections on the inside. One of the screen clips is missing but the other still works. Inside is very clean-just has a couple of age spots. No weird smells. Antique Gambling Case? Wood Suitcase
This is a wood suitcase which I believe is a gambling suitcase. It has a place that the chips would have gone. There is not makers marks so I'm not sure that is what it was used for. The one side of the suitcase slides out to open it. The handle is some sort of metal. Not sure how old it is but can tell it's old. It is 12 1/8" long 7 3/4" wide and 2.5" deep This is an AS IS SALE. ONE OF A KIND ANTIQUE WELL TRAVELED SUITCASE/TRUNK This is a one of a kind. Well traveled, suitcase/trunk. The suitcase was owned by a nurse in the early 1900's, her name was miss Norma Wilker. The leather tag on the trunk bares her name. One cruise ship tag says Norma was traveling on the Empress of France, a famous cruise ship, to Liverpool England. Other tags tell a story of a Nurse traveling the globe. Norma was a native of Los Angeles and was said to have dabbled in silent screen acting before becoming a nurse in her mid 30's. One of her accolades include a part as a background actress in 1909's A Midsummers Night Dream directed by Charles Kent and starring Charlie Chaplin. Norma went on to marry a physician and the case was handed down to her children who sold it to an Antique Dealer about 15 years back. He then sold it ... moreto me and here it is for the next owner to enjoy. A respected antique dealer I know said the trunk is more of a Folk Art piece then a trunk and I agree. Unlike other suitcase/trunks of the era this one can be displayed or used as a stand. This particular one paints a picture of the life of miss Norma Wilker and this piece has seen many places. I am guessing lots of life saving tools and medicines were stored in this suitcase. Or possibly just Norma's clothing and personal items. Either way this piece will strike a conversation as soon as someone comes into contact with it. Impressed into the wood underneath the handle reads: 500 EXCLUSIVE RESERVE SPECIALLY SELECTED. A sticker on one end of the box, which has been partially obliterated, reads: ED OF HAND. Vintage Rca Victor portable suitcase victrola or phonograph in good working condition. It may need some speed adjustment. I played the record that was with it several times and it seemed a little slow to me. I can find no damage and it opens and closes nicely. Some surface scratches on the wood. It is being sold in as is and as found condition. I only find this stuff: I don't work on it. There were some packages of needles in it. That will be included. Case measures 17-1'2" x 11-1/2" x 9" No Reserve! The VV-50 was the first portable Victrola model to be produced. Production began in the summer of 1921. And was ceased in 1924. Although the VV-50 remained in the Victor catalog during the following year, being sold from warehoused remaining stock. It used a simple single-spring motor.
