Step back center section. 3 burled cherry veneer drawer fronts with hand cut dovetailed drawers with chamfered panel poplar bottoms. 4 Cherry turned legs at the base– replaced. Half turn columns on the front. Cherry Knobs– replaced. Some minor restoration to the veneer front. All Cherry Sides. Case 41 inches wide. Top 43 inches wide and 21 ½ inches deep and 46 inches tall. A very special piece! This flame mahogany American Empire-style dresser. Estimated to have been made in the 1850s, is gorgeous. The dresser's mirror-image crotch-grain mahogany is absolutely beautiful. A hallmark of quality in fine furniture construction. The curved front is lovely. As are the carved backboard and skirt. The finish on the front. Sides, and top is glossy; the back is unfinished. All six drawers work perfectly and are outfitted with mushroom-turned wooden knobs. My parents originally purchased this dresser from an antiques dealer in upstate New York and it's been in their smoke-free household for more than 50 years. No maker's mark is evident. Pair of Antique Vintage Art Deco Steel Medical Doctors Cabinet 6 Drawers
Shown are a great pair of art deco steel medical cabinets. They measure 30" deep(31 with handles) x 16" wide x 32 1/2" high. They are a cream color that was painted over their original color. Ones in a little better condition than the other Chippy paint and rust. One is also about a 1/2 inch taller but this is due to the wear on the wheels. The casters all turn but are worn and could be taken out and changed. There are 6 drawers with the top three being divided. There is also a cabinet on the side. This is a very nice antique walnut desk insert with a drop down front and six small drawers. It was salvaged from a large two piece secretary desk. Most likely it is English. It measures aprox. 41 1/2" wide x 15" deep, 21 1/4" deep with the front dropped down x 7 3/4" high and the writing surface is 14" deep. It has dovetailed drawers, nice drawer pulls and brass latches that hold the front in place. The leather on top is cracked in the center, the small brackets on one of the open cubbyholes are missing and there is a scratch or gouge on the left side of the carved front that extends to the center which you can see in the pictures, part of the bottom board is missing as well. Original Harvard quartered oak dental cabinet-2 tambours-6 trays-5 drawers-14765
It has been some time since I have had this model of Harvard quarter sawn oak dental cabinet. This is a very high grade cabinet with two tambours(roll tops) and six swing out trays along with five drawers(of varying size) This dental case is entirely original-handles(brass and oak) Fancy top, and finish(the finish is smooth, even, and pretty-a couple minors stains to inside of top tambour surface) Note the extra fancy gallery with applied carvings and spindle wheels. The sides and back(also finished) are paneled and incised. All the drawers, trays, and both tambours work easily. I also have both of the original keys. Beautiful mid 1900s pine electronic parts storage box. Holds 6 solid wood drawers divided into 4 sections each. The 5 smaller drawers measure 6" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 1" tall— inside spaces are 1 1/4" wide x 5 1/8" deep x 7/8" tall. The larger drawer is 6" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 1 5/8" tall— inside spaces are 1 1/4" x 5 1/8" deep x 1 1/2" tall(2) and the larger one is 2 3/4" wide. The cabinet measures 6 3/4" wide x 5 5/8" deep x 8 3/4" tall. Cabinet was assembled from 3/8" thick pine and fingerjoined for strength. This is an Antique Hard Wood& Paneling. Dresser with Tabletop Vanity Mirror that Swivels, 70 inches tall. Made in USA. Has 6 dovetail drawers without the key to the locks. Top drawers have original porcelain knobs. The other drawer pulls are newer reproductions. Some of the dovetail corners were glued and set with masking tape(old repair holding fine) Mirror frame has a small crack in the back that doesn't show from the front. Should be an easy repair. Siverback mirror was very blotchy and replaced with a new mirror. Dresser sides are constructed with wood panels and have some general wear. Finish is still smooth. Great piece of furniture AND history! Mahogany with it's original feet caps& bell system. Manufacturer tag still attached. Made November 24. 1919 for a hardware store in what is now Decatur, Alabama. Register number 1766604 Size 962(2) Stands Aprox 42" tall. 31" wide, 21" deep The rod sticking out of the top would have connected to the cash register. When different buttons were pushed it would open the selected drawer& produce a different tone chime for each clerk's drawer. Now. The drawers are opened by rotating the rod to the selected drawer's position& pulling up. There are 4 full size drawers& 2 half drawers. The bottom half of the opening side are 2 compartments with doors. Here I'd had this gorgeous quarter-sawn oak cube-like drawer-cabinet, and always assumed that it didn't fit CD's, since so many of the old card files& card-catalogue drawers are too small for the standard CD case. But in measuring it for this listing. We realized that this classic antique is indeed unusually well-suited for these quintessential modern electronic storage necessities. Whether you need to store drawers full of CD's or not. This piece is a beauty. It looks like there's no veneer on this piece, and that every panel is solid through& through. And unlike most cabinets of this sort, it was made so that every one of its sides(even the bottom) is beautiful, smooth, flush& meant to be seen. The quartersawn, ... moretiger-oak panels are just exquisite, golden-oak natural colored and of a very clean, simple design. The form of this cabinet is nearly an exact cube. Measuring about 21" high, 20-1/2" wide& 20" deep(plus handles) Drawers measure inside about 5-7/8" high, 8-3/4" wide& 18-3/4" deep(at the top, the fronts taper to a thicker bottom inside) This piece is absolutely beautiful. It's in excellent condition to my eye. The back panels do have a vertical separation of a small gap. But this is just a bit of shrinkage in the solid lumber& not really a flaw, in my opinion. Otherwise just age-appropriate small scuffs here& there, but altogether an excellent, gorgeously made, solid awesome cube with excellently useful drawers, that would make a perfect end-table. This vintage 6 drawer spice drawers is made of 1/4" wood with a natural finish. 3 of the drawers measure 2 1/4" x 4" 3 of the drawers measure 1 1/2" x 4" The cabinet measures 4" wide x 4" deep x 18" tall. Each drawer has a small wooden knob. The top has a cut out design. A small sticker on the back says Made in Indonesia. The wood has distressed marks consistent with age and use.
