The Cromwell Rogers pattern has very clean lines and is a classic subtle pattern that would look good with most place settings. The salad serving fork is in excellent condition with no silverplate loss. Dents or repairs. The silverplate fork has a hollow handle and the bowl area is pierced. The fork tines are straight and even. There is a 2/8" x 1/8" scratch mark on the right tine and some light surface scratch marks. This is not noticeable unless looking closely at the tine area of the fork. There are no monograms. The reverse side of the salad server fork is back stamped 1847 Rogers Bros. XS Triple. There are light scratches normal with use. The salad serving fork measurements: 9" in length. 2 3/8" across the tines. It does have a touch of plate loss on the right tine at the very tip and it does have a touch of plate loss right under the tines on the back of the bowl. Not in mint condition but they look good. This is an unusual set of what I believe to be the Cromwell pattern. The following info I found on" anchor) ROGERS(anchor) trademark used for about two years(c. 1865-1867) when William Rogers formed the Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. Later the trademark was used by International Silver Company" I also learned that the 12oz is the amount of silver used to plate 144 pieces. I don't know any of this to be absolutely true but I did do some research to try and price these as best I could.

This auction is for the gravy/ soup ladle shown. The handle is engraved. Possibly CSG. It is about 7" long, from the tip of the handle to the front edge of the bowl. It is marked on the back 1847 ROGERS BROS. XS TRIPLE. It is from the pattern called CROMWELL, designed in 1912. I have not polished it. There is some wear on the bottom, where it rested on the table or plate and there is a very small dent in the bowl. I have some other listings of silverplate. Please check out my other listings.
