SquareT rade © AP6.0 The Avon Pattern was introduced by Rogers in 1901 under their 1847 Rogers Bros. line. This auction is for one Cold Meat Serving Fork measuring 8 1/2 inches long. The back is marked 1847 Rogers Bros. A1 plus the Meriden hallmark indicating age. The handle pattern is extremely beautiful and has scrolled embossing on the rear edge of the bowl. It has an age patina that would go well with an older or often used set. There are the use and polishing scratches normal to used older silver. Shipping is free to the 50 United States. It remains a highly collectible pattern, stands up well to use, and has a look of lush tailoring. Demitasse spoons are meant to be used with very small cups of very strong coffee. The type of coffee is very similar to expresso, so it would make sense to call them expresso spoons, but demitasse is ingrained and we are stuck with it. Rogers Avon silver plate: 6 Teaspoons approx. 6" long. In GREAT CONDITION. Nice. Light to normal use wear and scratches for the age. It is hard to see the light scratching because of the shine and shape. But there is a little there. 4 spoons have darker patina and 2 have lighter. Six lovely butter spreaders in silverplate by 1847 Rogers Bros. Pattern is Avon. 1901. They are in beautiful antique condition. Each measures 6 1/4 inches in length. There is no monogram on these spreaders/knives. They are solid and truly beautiful. There are signs of wear but for over 100 years old. They were well preserved and cared for. Antique 1847 Rogers Bros Silverplate 1901 Avon Pattern 4 Teaspoons Monogram "HJ"
Four beautiful antique 1847 Rogers Bros silverplate teaspoons. Pattern is Avon. 1901. Spoons are lovely-heavy. Solid. Each has a monogram down the front of the handle, H J. Each is of varying visibility/distinction though-some have faded/worn down some. Spoons measure 5 7/8 inches in length. The spoons are very shiny and in excellent antique condition. Of course. There are signs of wear including the underside where the bowl of the spoon rests, but they are truly gorgeous. Please see all photos for condition.

Six of the 7 spoons show a monogram on the front of the handle. Going down the handle, engraved"H J" in beautiful script letters. Solid, heavy spoons. The spoons are in beautiful antique condition. No mono's. This style is easy to hold. Nice and sharp and work well for cutting. Some fruit knives blades that have the solid handles have a different blade style.
