1847 Rogers Bros Silverplate Berkshire Pattern Berry Serving Spoon& 1847 Berkshire Cream Ladle Berkshire is one of the most popular and collectible of the 1847 Rogers Brothers line of silverplate. It was introduced in 1897. And is now discontinued. This auction is for the cream ladle which is marked 1847 Rogers Bros A1. The ladle measures about 6.5" long and about 1.75" wide across the bowl. Also included in this auction is the berry and nut spoon which is marked 1847 Rogers Bros A1. The serving spoon measures about 9" long and 2.75" wide across the bowl. It has a burnished handle and satin finished bowl. Both items have been used so they do have some light usage marks, but are in exceptional condition. They have a rich gold washed bowl and the gold still glows. They are nice pieces to add to your collection.

This auction is for the three monogramed teaspoons shown. They are about 6" long. The handles are marked 1847 ROGERS BROS. 6. The pattern name is BERKSHIRE and it was first produced in 1897. I have not polished them. There are very small areas of silver loss on the bottoms of the bowls. Where they contact the table. The monogram on the handles looks like the letter G. The"Berkshire" silver plate flatware pattern was introduced in 1897 by 1847 Rogers Bros. You are bidding on a"Master Butter Knife" which measures approximately 7-1/4 inches from end to end. This beauty was discovered at an Estate Sale and is monogramed with a"C" It is also TRIPLE silver plated. Other markings include- 1847 Rogers Bros XS Triple" There is a tiny tiny emblem with words written but with a 10X magnifier- I cannot read it. There are some scratches on the one side of the knife and normal wear/scratches on the rest of the knife. I have cleaned the knife a bit. But will leave the good polishing up to the Buyer. 1897 BERKSHIRE Pattern Lot of 6 By 1847 Rogers Silver Plated The Berry Spoon. Master Butter Knife and Cold Meat Serving Fork in excellent condition. I did notice on the berry spoon SLIGHT fading in a small area of the silverplate that should polish out. The Teaspoons have plating damage in the rear of the bowl and shown in the pictures. The age of this item are unknown. This is a estate sale find. Buyer is to review all pictures for flaws. We do minimum of polishing. Buyer must polish to achieve proper luster. UP FOR AUCTION: super rare set of two tablespoons with no monograms. 8 1/4" long in the highly ornate Berkshire pattern, made by 1847 Rogers Bros from 1897(this pattern was also manufactured by the Meriden Britannia Co from 1883-95) CONDITION: extremely clean set that is super clean and shiny with no plate wear loss and no major surface scratches.
