Charming depiction of a colonial gentleman stopping at an inn. Or perhaps the home of a friend, and being greeted by the lady of the house. The weary traveler's horse stands by, with several curious dogs investigating the new arrivals. Titled"A Welcome Guest" as can be seen inscribed on the front of the base. You can find this same subject executed in cast iron. But these are the more interesting and desirable bronze-clad(electro-formed) No maker's mark but generally attributed to Armor Bronze. Pompeian Bronze would be another possibility. Circa 1920's. In excellent condition. With two small flaws to mention. On one piece, there is a ding/chip on the bottom of the back left corner. See last pic, which makes it look worse than it is- compare to the 6th pic which better indicates how little noticeable the ding truly is. ... moreAnd the chimney on the other piece is stubby- I can't tell if it broke off or simply never"formed up. I believe the latter because the chimney looks and feels to be clad in bronze skin, which would not be the case if it actually had snapped off. Felts on both appear to be recent, not original. Vintage Dog and Cat Bookends, Armor Bronze, GS Allen, Sculpture Art
Offered is a lovely pair of vintage bronzed bookends. These were designed by the American sculptor. Gregory Seymour Allen(1884-1934) and were produced by the Armor Bronze Company, NYC. Both bookends feature the logo and copyright symbol for Armor and Allen's signature. The first bookend features a puppy dog peeking around the side of his doghouse. And what is he eyeing? Why there is a cat or kitten with its back all hunched up look ing around the end of a fence while hissing at the dog. Adorable! Each bookend is approximately 6" high. 5 1/4" wide and 4 1/8" deep. One of my favorite sets of bookends: Fireside Comfort" by Armor Bronze. Wonderful detail to the figure of the old gent relaxing in his easy chair in front of the fire. Feet up, favorite book in hand, puffing on his pipe, dog snoozing on the floor. Armor's shield logo and copyright symbols are imprinted on the backs. Along with the name of the artist, G(regory) S(eymour) Allen. The exposed wicks on the bottoms attest to these pieces having been made in the electro-forming(bronze clad) process. Circa 1930. Condition is very good with one flaw- a small hole in the cladding at the bottom of the feet of one figure. As seen in photo. Otherwise, just minor nicks and scuffs and small dings on edges and corners. The paint is original, no touch ups, and almost entirely intact. Metal Knight in armor lighter. weighs 2 lb 12 oz. 10 inches tall. In excellant condition. The lighter insert is in excellant condition and appears to have never been used. It has a metal base and has green felt on the bottom. It is a pewter color but I am not sure what kind of metal it is. I purchased it 20 years ago and it was old then. On the back of the bottom of the armor says JAPAN. It also says it on the lighter insert. It has very nice detail.

I have done my best to describe the item and have taken lots of pictures, please be sure you understand exactly what you are bidding on, what payments i accept and what my postage prices are. Bandai DX Chogokin- Ozma Valkyrie Full Armour. Bandai DX Chogokin Ozma Valkyrie from Macross Frontier. 1/60 fully transformable figure from Macross. Item has a couple of problems as seen in the pictures. The first one being one of the arms when transforming has snapped, this does not stop the figure transforming at all and it will still change into all 3 modes and pose perfectly. The other is just the landing gear covers won't stay in place when open, they will stay closed fine. The joints on the legs, waist and arms of the figure are still tight and hold poses well, transformation ... moreto battroid can be tricky because of how loose the middle section is now but once it all locks into place it's fine, i personally have left him in fighter mode over the years witht he armour on and haven't had any problems. I wouldn't recommend you buy this as your first Macross figure as the transformation 1st time is difficult enough without the problems this figure has but for people who are used to the the transformations you will be fine. All the armour parts are mint and these can be used on other VF-25Valkyries from the line also. He is 100% complete with instructions and all the extra parts are all in mint condition, the figure himself has a couple of minor paint rubs as shown again on the pictures but overall hes excellent! The outer box has some wear but is overall in good condition. All pictures used on this auction were taken by me and are of the exact item you will be receiving. This is an original 1957 yearbook. It is in good condition. But what makes it unique is that it has an authentic black and white picture of what appears to be the battalion of that year. Also included is a letter of commendation and what appear to be a roster or some kind of list. On,this list, one of the names is also the one being commended in the other letter.
