His father, John Praed (1799-1876), was an English first-class cricket player. This Gold Gilt Design features several Wufu Bats with red lacquered metal eyes, flying around a Foo Dog in a large footed censor next to a vase with a large famile rose flowers. There are several more small red lacquered sequins accent the vase, as well as the eyes of the bats and dog.
