The collection of Carl and Fannie Junge they were socialites and very active in the art's and writers guild in Chicago is the early part of the century. Carl Junge was actually a bookplate designer and he actually designed Woodrow Wilson's book plate. Most but not all of letters were addressed to either of them. But one of Fannies Passion was collecting signatures. And A lot of them are pasted in books some are not. And she saved all letters and signatures so it's going to take me awhile to go through the books and sort out one's to list. End of tang is so pristine it indicates that this sword has probably never been apart. I cannot tell any differences between them. We fit these to a 2006 crown vic we had on hand and they fit perfectly. Check your configuration to be sure it fits for your needs before buying. Up for auction are a pair of Armor Bronze elephant bookends. These are in good condition. One has a scruffed up trunk. Jagged at the crest, the metal weakened, and it got camo-ed. These are pieces that were actually very popular back then, so much so that design was replicated by Art Metal Works of New Jersey, a Ronson Company. Those, the Ronson pieces, bear an exact likeness in form, but were cast metal with brilliant green elephants on jet black bases. These are bronze clad, quite substantial, electroformed over a plaster core. Yes, these are old, dated to the very early 1920's. Early 19th c. Indian Shield Dhal. Finely painted with abstract floral designs. Separated with 4 Indian warriors(or royalty) holding spears and dhal shields. Front of shield has been preserved to stop the loss of paint and cracking. Appears to have floral behind paint to create an iridescence. Some loss of paint around the edges of the shield and in small spots on the warriors. Shield is lacking the original padding, but still retains the rings which is typical of shields of this age. 13 inches in diameter.

FANTASTIC RARE SET OF GERMAN 1600'S SEIGE ARMOUR, ARMOR, BREASTPLATE AND HELMET
This is a rare set of early armor- It is German siege armour and was used by sappers. Siege engineers, they worked under the walls of the fortifications and came under enemy fire from above- The armor, both the breastplate and helmet, are made of very heavy wrought iron- this is a complete set as there was not a backplate or other pieces- The pot style helmet has visors front and back and one of it's original ear flaps- the other is missing but could be restored- It is otherwise good original condition with one ding near the top from a bullet or blow- The helmet measures roughly 16"l x 8.75"w x 6"h(11.25"h w/ the earflap) The breastplate retains its original homespun lining and some of the heavy leather edging- It does retain the original mounting buttons and hooks- The leather shoulder straps are missing- It measures ... moreroughly 16"h x 13"w x 10"d- Both of these retain their original worn finish and the breastplate retains residue from the original paint- This came from my fathers collection- Great rare examples and perfect for the collector This is on display in my location in NEWPORT AVENUE ANTIQUES.
