OLD ANTIQUE CIVIL WAR US MODEL 1860 OFFICER'S SWORD WKC SOLINGEN MAKER. Measures 35 7/8" overall with a 29 1/2" blade. Uncleaned in"as found" condition so it's hard to see the maker's mark. But I think it's Weyersburg. Kirschbaum& Company, Solingen. Brass guard and fittings are beautiful with no damage. The handle is a little loose with the movement being about half an inch turning it side to side. Brass wire wrap okay and shark skin cover maybe at 50% The blade is dirty and needs cleaning but I don't see any heavy rust. The blade has moderate bends out toward the tip end. Button for the counter-guard is missing. In very good condition as noted. The scabbard is in excellent condition and is also a little dirty so needs a slight cleaning. Antiques, and antiquities. THIS is a very early style Masonic sword. Most likely prior to the Civil War. It has the plain oval cross section blade that is not etched or elaborate such as the later styles of the late 1800s. It has a wooden hilt with the standard cross in a pattern very often seen on the masonic swords of the later years. The scabbard is of the style used in the 1850s or 60s and was used with the M 1860 swords and the Militia swords of the time. It would probably be best to classify this sword with the Militia Fraternal swords of the Civil War Period. THE STYLE VARIED AND CHANGED IN TIME. This type of sword was carried by the various States Militia ... moreor volunteers and is often referred to as a fraternal sword, when in reality the fraternal organizations often formed their own militia reserves and fighting forces. thus, the term fraternal. A very nice and good smooth pattern oval section Double edged blade measuring 28 inches long. The knights head pommel and guard are of gold gilt over. Overall length of the sword is 36 inches. WW2 JAPANESE NAVY KAIGUNTO MILITARY SWORD TSUKA SAYA SARUTE army samurai antique
This is an original war era Japanese navy kaigunto set. First. The blade and habaki aren't original, but the rest of it is and in extremely nice condition. This was obtained by me just yesterday(April 28, in Japan) from an antique military dealer(and veteran of WWII) from Iwate prefecture. Certainly the sword's original owner was from Iwate too. This set will be a fantastic candidate for a restoration project. The tsuka is complete(including original and perfect sarute) and in beautiful condition. Near perfect really, just one very small tear in the same-skin near the kashira(see close-up photo) The locking mechanism works perfectly too. Seppadai are all there and in great shape. You really can't expect nicer than this. The saya is complete with all bits and pieces attached, not a thing missing. There's a tiny spot of damage ... morenear the area where the locking pin enters the saya(see close-up photo) This is minor and does not affect the locking mechanism either. There are no other issues at all. It really is in beautiful condition and sure to bring a huge smile to the new owner. The overall length of the set is approx. 99 cm(39 inches) The tsuka measures a total length of approx. 25 cm(9-7/8 inches) The opening for the sword tang(wood core part) is approx. 24 mm x 7 mm. From top of tsuka(with fuchi on) to the center of the peg hole is approx. 38 mm. The saya measures approx. 62.5 cm from top of the kuchigane to the bottom of the sayajiri. The opening for the blade in the saya measures approx. 32 mm x 10 mm. The sori is approx. 12 mm. If I missed something please email me and I'll address it right away. This is an original Japanese kendo related medal from a college kendo dojo. It's in the shape of a samurai sword tsuba. The kanji on front reads KEN(as in KENDO) The back shows it was for a HARUTAIKAI(Spring Meet) It's clearly dated 2585(1925) It's a nice late Taisho era piece of kendo history. The chain attached to it makes me thing it was used on a pocket watch chain. The badge is in great condition and really only needs to be cleaned. It measures 25 mm in diameter. For your consideration we are offering a Super Rare Mc Lilley Co. Knights Templar Sword and Scabbard! Rare Knights face Pommel made by Famous Mc Lilley Co Circa 1915-1930. The Sword is engraved with the name Oscar Otto Rinker. The blade is also engraved with the image of a battle scene between Knights and Arabs depecting the batle of Mori. In which the Templars stormed Jeruselem to take back the territory. To this day they reside in the holy land. The sword is beautiful and in great shape and could use a little polishing but a spectacular sword, and well taken care of. Antique Japanese Samurai Sword Katana Signed W/ Nice Temper Line NR
From a local estate comes this old Japanese sword blade with scabbard. The scabbard is a WWII era one. The blade itself measures 34 ½ inches(87.6cm) in total length. The blade weighs 772 grams. It has Japanese characters on both sides of the blade(5 on one side. And 9 on the other) The tang has 2 holes. The blade itself has a nice wavy temper line. There is rust on the tang where the Tsuba would go, as you can see in the pictures. The edge of the blade has a few small nicks. Also, there is a small chip to the tip of the point. The brass fitting on the blade has some small nicks, and there are also a few small nicks on the steel just above it. I do not know a lot about Japanese swords, so I am offering it on an as-is basis with no reserve. Here is an excerpt from the internet about the sword maker: Started in 1854 at 103 Fifth Avenue B. and 115-1 17 Post St. San Francisco. B. PASQUALE COMPANY(Benoit Pasquale) were the only manufacturers of"Army and Navy Equipments and Uniforms" on the pacific coast. Their motto was"Quality and Fit Guaranteed" They soon branched out into all areas of militaria, and Masonic, Park Service to name a few other forays. And through the early 1900's had few others that rivaled their diversity and quality. An appraiser in San Francisco told me this sword is valued upwards of $600 because of it's rarity and near mint condition. Needs polished is about all. Both sides have etching. And 1 side has the B Pasquale hallmark, as well as G.A.P.A. etched on the blade- other side of the blade has just the etching

The Sword is old and has some wear showing it. The blade has a lot of rust spots and is dull as well. There is one very small ding in the edge of the blade. The metal handle has a few dings on it but the wood grip is in great condition and made to fit the hand. The metal sheath is chipping at the end and showing some rust spots. It is a wonderful piece probably originating from the Kingdom as Mysoreand it is 17-1/2 inches in diameter. It has Hindu deities depicted on it made by means of repousse. The shield is decorated to perfection and it is in perfect condition but it is very old. I think it was made around early 19th century. The bosses are four lions heads that are made from the same material. The repousse work is bold and high relief and well executed by a skilled master. The face was made from thick brass and is backed by another brass plate making this shield quite heavy. The back rings are forge welded or brazed shut to the point that is hard to see the connection. This is a magnificent shield and a similar one ... moremade with brass and silver but in the same manner and probably in the same time was sold at Sotheby's for 42.500 GPB. Thta one had silver and gem stones but the repousee work shows the same degree of skill. No reserve and have fun. and bid high: Buyer pays shipping. Page 206 The obverse ricasso is stamped" AMES MFG CO/ CHICOPEE/MASS" and the reverse is stamped with" US/AD(K) 1855" The bayonet features leaf shaped. Double edge blade with median center ridge and solid cast brass hilt with"eagle feather" design. The obverse of the hilt has a cast muzzle ring with original iron locking ring. With an extremely rare and unique Damascus steel”Turkish ribbon” pattern with horizontal lines going from the hilt to the tip of the blade, which creates individual straps which each contain a fine wootz pattern; please refer to the close-up picture. Cut with a series of short narrow fullers, a forte applied with shaped silver facing, decorated with a vase with flowers. The hilt is formed of two pieces of brown horn scales enriched on the pommel with minute brass nails. The country of origin is unknown. The sword is in good condition showing normal ageing. It does have tarnish and rust pitting. There are some nicks and chips on the edge. The scabbard throat is missing. There are no bends in the scabbard and the blade is straight. All handle parts are tight, some chips on the grip. SEE PHOTOS for further details and condition! They feature a sword or candle holder"handle" design and have nice Arts and Crafts characteristics. They have ornate brass hurricane shade holders. These are very different and were taken out of an old house in central Missouri. The sconces have exposed screw threads on the backs and under the shade fitters. They do not have back plates or shades. They are wired and the wiring is vintage but good. The sconces are very simple for a very clean look. If you are looking for something a little bit different, these are for you! Each sconce measures 7.5" tall and extend 3.75" from the wall. Antique WWI Imperial German / Prussian Postal Official Small Sword / Degen
Very Rare Antique WWI Imperial German/ Prussian Postal Official's Small Sword/ Degen with Leather Scabbard. Features a hilt design of brass base metal. The grip was made up of twisted silver wire wrap. The finish is gilted. The clamshell has an applied Purssian Hohenzollern eagle which is affixed via pins pushed through and bent over. The eagle is silver-plated and has great detail. The blade is etched and has no dings. The blade does not have a maker's mark. The sword is a very nice example and a nice addition to a collection of Imperial German swords. The leather scabbard is in good condition. I guess this sword to date back 80 years or more. It is mostly bright& shiny with only slight wear or tarnish. The Knights of Pythias are dedicated to Universal Peace. Founded on Feb. 19. 1864, in Washington, DC. The blade is marked; Cincinnati Regalia Co. Cincinnati, O" It is also marked“Made in Germany’ There is a tiny animal stamp that looks like a walking bear? The hand guard has a center‘shell’ with a lily, UR(Uniform Rank) surrounded by a wreath with 2 types of leaves. The back of the guard has; FCB(Friendship, Charity, Benevolence) The tips of the hand guard have crouching birds(eagles? The handle tip has knight with a fancy ... morehelmet topped by a lion. The leather grip has a braided brass wire wrap. The blade is highly polished nickel. NO nicks, chips, rust, or flaking. It has the original owners name; L.C.Ward" The scabbard has 3 fancy applied decorations over a polished nickel base. The decorations are nicely detailed. The top decoration has the biblical Samson destroying the temple. The sword is approx. 37" tall in the scabbard. A very nice antique piece for display or presentation. Other than slight tarnish is recesses, I can only mention the bottom 1/3 front panel of the scabbard has some slight bubbling. There are a few very light scratches form wear on the back side. This has not been buffed so these areas may be able to be improved. Look carefully at all photos and bid accordingly.
