A fine example of a c.1900's antique Lapplander's knife and scabbard. This is a rarely encountered C.1900's antique Lapplander's knife with a distinctive curved scabbard. Both scabbard and knife hilt appear to be mounted in some kind of animal tooth or perhaps bone. With incised decoration to the bottom of the hilt that is bound with leather. As is the scabbard. The blade is short and wide, with a central rib. These knives would have had a range of uses and used for hunting, skinning and general purposes. Great Antique Set, Coin Silver Spoon With Cow Bone Handle Fork and Knife
What we have here is a nice.Original mid19th century eating utensil set. Although it is not a perfect matching set, they are all from the same period. The coin silver teaspoon is in great shape with only a few tiny dents in the bowl. The spoon is stamped"H. GOODWIN" and an engraved I B. The cow bone-handled knife is the classic early form, with the turned up blade. The blade has some pitting and discoloration but displays well, The cow bone scales are mounted with 5 brass pins. The two tine fork shows use wear with one tine shorter than the other. No surprise after 160+ years. The fork has cow bone scales as well and a pewter butt-cap. This antique three piece set would look great in a Civil War or earlier table setting or would be the perfect trade-up for a reenactor who uses replicas utensils. This fantastic antique corks crew measures 7" from knife tip to brush end. From handle to screw tip is 5 1/4" The wood handle measures about 3 1/4" There is a chip in the handle at the brush end(see photo) The spiral iron corkscrew is 4 1/4" long. It appears to be hand forged. All of the metal pa rts a re pit ted with age but there appears to be no rust. A very nice display piece!

Here is a nicely made dagger that looks to be very old. It seems someone made this out of another blade or something like that. The handle is hand carved bone not sure what kind? the handle is not perfect see pictures of how the handle has a stress crack or something but its still solid. Its a cool looking dagger and has a small mark on the blade? not sure what it means. The Total length of dagger is just over 12" long the blade is 7" it comes with a sheath that was made to fit the blade. Whoever made this was a good craftsman. Any questions please ask. thanks

Extremely Rare Antique Horn Carved Jack/ Pocket Knife in Form of Bird
Up for auction is a rare antique jack knife. It appears to be all handmade. It is a curiosity. At least to me and people(antique dealers, collectors, etc) I have asked. Origin, use etc is uncertain. It has six moving parts: two blades, both the same length, articulated wings with serrated edges and two legs. I will supply lots of pictures for this defies good description. The beak is metal. The birds head is horn, the red head piece as all the dots on neck, wings and back are bone or horn. Some are reinforcing metal(for the hinges) Condition is excellent. Both blades work as do the legs and wings(all independently) There is minor bug damage at the tail, the crown and the beak(see photos) Otherwise super. Size 4 3/4 inches from tip of beak, 1 3/4 inches high and one inch wide. An addition to any collection.

Large high quality German made folding bowie knife by'MARX& SOLINGEN' The grips are what I think they call ebony, and have a German silver shield on one side, mountings are German silver. Has good strong spring, and locks nice and tight. Thick 1/4" blade is 7 1/2" long, opened knife is 12 1/8" long. Blade has nice mellow smooth grey finish with no pitting and no grinding or over sharpening, and seems to have original edge and is still sharp. Minor wear were blade folds. Fittings are all in VG++ condition, grips are excellent with no cracks and no wear to checkering. Has makers logo of a water fountain, and'MARX& SOLINGEN' Last few letters of hallmark are faint, but I think are either'Son' or'Co. This knife was found in grampa's basement- it measures approximately 9 1/2" from the end of the handle to the end of the tip of the blade. The handle is extra thick- that measures approximately 4 1/4" round- if you look at the metal that holds the shaft to the handle you will see that it is very old. Rare Antique Trade Knife Scimitar Cimitar 5 Steel Pins-Full Tapered Tang Lot348 Extremely Large Vintage Carbon Steel Knife similar to knives made in the 1800's by companies such as Russell. Green River, I. Wilson, and other knife manufacturers from England and the American Colonies that produced most of the knives used in the early days of the United States. This knife measures over 15" Long and it is so old that there is no makers mark on it. Which was not required any U.S. import laws until the late 1800's. It is possible that the original marks wore off but I really don't think that this knife was ever stamped or marked.It is very old as indicated by the 5 small pins made of steel instead of three large ones made of brass. The full tapered tang is also an indicator of it's age. there appears to be a layer of leather ... morebetween the blade and the handles. Something I have never seen in a knife. The handle is in good shape and tight. The blade is in good shape with normal patina and minor wear. Notice that the handle has three notches carved into it. It is likely that this knife was made and used in the early days of this country. Perhaps prior to the Civil War and it might have been used in that war or in the Indian Wars of the 1870's. Notches were usually cut to mark"kills" in battle but I have no actual proof as to those specualations of course. I believe this knife is very special and belongs in the hands of a person or a museum that will respect it for the time in history that it represents as well as it's very well preserved condition. You're bidding on a hand made heavy Bowie knife. The OAL is 15 1/4" and the carbon steel blade is 9 1/2" long. The blade is very thick and heavy. It has no nicks. Gings, rust or pitting. Just the patina that comes from age. It has a thick brass bolster and 3 brass pins in the handle. A hammered silver cross is on the guard. The coffin handle appears to be a black micarta material like on Buck knives. On the blade an eagle emblem is embossed. I'm not sure what it means. This knife is very heavy- it feels indestructable! Up for auction is a vintage INOX Knife with Sheath. The blade is in very nice shape. It's etched on both sides with what looks to be A Gaucho scene. the word INOX etched on the blade. I have no idea of the age. But it was an Estate Sale Find. The Sheath is embossed with a Gaucho scene and the handle with two Bulls on each side of the handle. On the Blade it has a covered wagon pulled by Cattle.with a Gaucho on a horse. The other side has man by a camp fire and one by a tree and some horses. On the handle it has two Bulls on each side. This knife is almost 12" long! The handle is marked on both sides Crown Sterling. Has a draped curtain looking pattern, not sure of name. The blade of the knife is marked Lifetime Rippledge, Stainless U.S.A. but it is rather dull, and there are a few nicks on the top of the blade(not the serrated edge) that look like black marks, probably from other knives, and a couple of scratches on one side of the blade. Also, there is a little dimple on one side of the knife handle, but this would proabably look less noticeable with a fresh polish. Add to your serving pieces, mix or match with this holloware knife! Here we have a RARE find and that would be an older hunting knife that has a poured pewter bolster as well as pewter inlays of stars and acorns in it's hickory handle. Knife measures about 10 inch overall with 5 inch of that being the blade.This style of knife dates from the mid 1800s and was popular with hunters and others during the muzzleloader era. and many were made by rifle makers themselves.This example is in VERY GOOD condition. Blade has been sharpend some and has some light scratches on the edge, also some staining and light frekling but nothing heavy or that really detracts. Handle is fine with no damage. Comes with it's beautiful original leather sheath which is fine, no damage to the leather and stiching is fine. Tube type Sheath is very well made.
