Up for auction is a very nice vintage Mid Century Modern flint glass vase manufactured by the Indiana Glass Company from 1969-1972. The vase was designed by Thomas Connally and this is their Greenwich Flint-Craft glass line which was focused on a modern design. The vase is blue in color(reminds me of the windex color) The bottom has a smooth polished pontil mark and overall it stands tall about 18 3/4" about 5 3/16" across the top and about 5 1/2" across the bottom. The condition of the vase is excellent.The photos have a sort of glare on the vase. But, the vase is clear. It is clean and there are no chips, cracks, or repaired areas. The clarity is excellent with no cloudiness and the color is very nice. Antique 18th Century Dated 1720 Silver 6 3/4" Apostle Spoon W Hallmark Detailed
Presented for auction is this Antique 18th Century Silver Apostle Spoon from a very fine Estate. This Spoon is one of the Apostles. But I am unsure which Apostle is on the Top of this Spoon. It is very detailed but I still cannot make out what he is holding. There is also another detailed figure towards the bottom of the spoon. This spoon measures 6 3/4" and the Bowl is 2" in diameter. This is out of my area of expertise, so I am going to describe what I see. There is a Hallmark of a Lion facing Right, which I find interesting, and I do not know what this Hallmark represents or where this Spoon is from. The Back of the Spoon is very detailed as well. ITEM DESCRIPTION- From late 60’s to early 70’s. Very nice vintage pipe with a tobacco brown“MATT” finish and a classic shape. The rather generous bowl has a beveled rim that has some darkening and a little loss of crispness around the interior and exterior. Outer bowl has some dings and minor signs of wear. The vulcanite stem is solid with one very small tooth mark on the bottom. Otherwise. This is a very well maintained pipe. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: 6-inches long. Just under 2 inch bowl height. The round top rim is 1-1/4 inches across the top of the rim. The chamber width is.75 inches and depth is 1 9/16 inches. Weight is 1.6 ounces or 46 grams. At first I though for sure this was Viking Glass. But it certainly isn't pictured in my books. Then I though maybe Tiffin Glass- noooo. OK- the lovely and well done mid-century Amethyst Hanky Vase is whatever you want it to be. Whatever it is, it was made of high quality glass. Wish I could tell you the maker.
