2 VINTAGE ANTIQUE BRASS / BRONZE FAUCETS HOT COLD
You are bidding on 2(two) BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE BRASS/ BRONZE FAUCETS THAT APPEAR TO BE NICKEL PLATED. They appear to be a pair with one marked with a“C” and one with an“H” on the handles. They appear to have no other markings. When in the off position they measure approximately 6” long and the threads measure approximately 13/16” in diameter. They appear to have all the original hardware and it appears that there are no cracks or chips. The knobs turn hard. The threads have no damage. Since I did not take these apart. I do not know if they work properly. These are in as found condition and need cleaning. There is some staining and a great deal of finish loss but overall they appear to be in solid condition with great patina. I’ll leave the restoration and cleaning to the professionals. Antique White Porcelain Sink Tub Faucet Handles Knob Soap Dish Hot Cold & More
Up for bid is an Lot of Antique White Porcelain Sink and Tub Pieces. There are Faucet Handles that read Hot and Cold. I believe one set is for a tub and the other for a sink. There is also two donut shaped pieces that I think are for the back of the handles but I am not sure(one has a tiny chip along edge that you would not see when assembled. See pictures) There are two metal pieces that I think goes to a pair of handles. There is a soap dish complete with the piece that slide on it back to hang on wall. The soap dish has crazing. There is also a knob maybe for hanging a bathrobe. There is also another piece that has a porcelain knob and a metal piece attached to it. VINTAGE FAUCETS Acquired at an estate sale are these antique plumbing fixtures. I am not a plumber so I will do my best to describe the items offered in this auction. I believe the base metal is brass or bronze with a chrome finish. There appears to be some paint splatter or other dirt on each piece so a good cleaning will be needed. I did a basic wipe down with a damp cloth to get the dust off and show the potential of these great pieces. Each one measures 5 ½ inches tall; 4 ¼ inches from the tip of the faucet to the back of the stem; 2 ¾ inches across the handles; water opening of the faucet measures ½ inch by ¼ inch; threaded pipe is ¾ inch and the base that would sit on the sink is 2 inches across. Hot& Cold, Distressed Brass, Nearly Matching but Not Quite! Product Details: These faucets are quite similar and it took me a few minutes before I noticed that they aren' matching. The handles don't match in that one has flat spots and the other one balls. The spouts are nearly identical except for the fittings just above them(one is larger than the other) The mounting plates that sit on the sink or counter are not quite the same size. With one being a bit larger than the other. While I'm ... morenot sure. I think they both came from the same sink before they came to us. I think they could still be used together if you like the really rustic look(that they don't match would then be a plus) Of course they could also be used separately. The spout of one is about 4" from the end to the center of the fitting. The other measures 4-1/4" One is about 4-1/2" high from the bottom of the mounting plate to the top of the handle. And the other is 4-1/4" Both are well tarnished and have a great green patina(especially one of them) They have marks on them from handling with wrenches and other tools. They have fittings attached as shown. I blew through both and found that the valves seem to be working. But I would still suggest that you replace the seals since I didn't test them with water, and it would be a good idea anyway. One of the mounting plates is a bit bent and has built up material on the block part directly below it. Please see the pictures for more details. This is a vintage nickel plated over brass faucet which would fit an old fashioned claw foot tub or cast iron sink. It has the porcelain Hot& Cold buttons on the faucet handle tops and it comes with the turn bolts to tighten it up to the tub. It would extend about 2 ¼” from the tub or sink wall and is about 5 ⅛” tall overall. The threaded 1” pipes in the back of it will fit holes 3 ⅜” o/c. Aside from the usual scratches obtained over the years from wrenches tightening the handles and small light spots of corrosion to the nickel plating appropriate to its age and use.it is in very good condition. This piece was salvaged from a farm house in Bagdad. Florida. Note the large chip in the"waste" estucheon. Discoloration on"cold" handle appears to be paint splatter, which in my experience is easily removed. Pipes have patina and appear to be copper. Functionality of the plumbing is unknown, but there are no obvious holes or major visible damage to my untrained eye. Antique Porcelain Parts for Restoration, Sink, Toilet, Hot Cold Faucet Inserts
This is an interesting collection of porcelain parts for a bathroom restoration. The original pull handle measures about 3 inches long. The"X" valve measures about 3.25 inches across. There is also a piece to cover a bolt and a hot and cold faucet insert set also made of porcelain. The inserts are 7/8" I have the inserts in other sizes if you are interested in them. The pieces are in great shape and I do not believe they were ever used. The ones that are stamped are from Czechoslovakia. This is a nice lot of stuff for someone restoring an old bathroom and seeking that vintage look with genuine original parts.
