Victorian Picture Nails. For auction is a lot of 3 Victorian Picture nails. These nails were used during the Victorian Era to hang pictures from a wire or ribbon to the decorative nail located higher on the wall. These nails have a glass face with a star decoration underneath. The larger nail(with green star) measures about 1 1/8” across. The other two are about 7/8” across. The nails are original and screw into the back of the button face. They measure about 2 5/8” long(with the head) They are in good vintage condition. One has a crack in the glass you can see in the photo. The screw-in nails are a little wobbly if not screwed in properly.
