4 Matching Antique Victorian Picture Nails
This is a great looking set of four matching antique picture nails. All four have original end threaded metal nails and brass rings around green stars under sandwich glass. They appear to be unused and are in very good condition as seen in my pictures. Note the brass has not been polished. They measure approx. 2 3/4" long with 7/8" dia heads. They don't come any nicer than these you just unscrew the head. Hammer in the nail then screw the glass head back on.

Large Antique Victorian Glass Picture Nail Silver
This is a larger size Victorian Picture Nail. It measures approximately 5 inches long and the top is approximately 1.75 inches across. It is in wonderful condition and would work well for a larger size picture or to hold back a curtain. Due to several issues with recent transactions I feel the need to add a return policy to state the obvious and a few other things to try to avoid misunderstandings so here goes: Although I strive for accuracy in my listings I use a good old fashion ruler for measuring- not some scientific method- so all measurements are approximate. If a difference of 1/16th of an inch really matters to you please ask questions before bidding. Most items I sell are vintage. Antique, and/or used. I do examine items for damage or wear and make every effort to describe items accurately. My photos are clear so what you see is ... morewhat you get. On occasion(being human) I may miss some small detail or flaw in the item. If we determine there has been an INACCURACY in the listing I will consider a refund UPON RETURN OF THE ITEM.I will refund the original shipping fee. But the return shipping will be at the expense of the buyer. Ebay now prefers that sellers accept returns regardless of whether or not there was an inaccuracy in the listing. And regardless of the buyer's reason for the return(apparently not enough rent money. Drunk online shopping the night before, and any other regrets a buyer has after purchasing are now acceptable reasons for returning a perfectly good item) So. I will now offer a refund, but only if it is determined that there has been an error in the listing. Or undisclosed damage to the item, as long as the item is returned within 14 days(in order to make the nice folks at eBay happy) Due to a few not so nice customers I can no longer take your word for it that an item was damaged. From an estate. 2 antique Victorian picture hangers. I think they are small to be curtain backs. but not positive. They are both glass and brass? One has a Cameo face and the other is a flower? pattern. Please see pics for best description. The flower like one is more of a screw and the Cameo a nail. The nail is secure in the base but can swirl around. The other is stationary. The nail on the cameo is approx 2 3/8" and measures a little over an inch across. Antique Victorian Colored Pressed Glass Picture Hangers~Nails~Cobalt etc~Unique!
For auction are these antique Victorian glass picture hangers/nails. They're like beautiful old-fashioned pushpins! The larger ones measure 7/8" The smallest 5/8" In various hues, as shown. The large lavender/mauve couple have some small edge chipping and one of them has a larger chip on the side; am not sure if you can see in the photo. The others are in very good shape, though there are some manufacturing flaws in the glass. I am sure these were made very cheaply way back when. Great colors, and definitely vintage. Pair of Blue Antique Victorian Sulphide Picture Nails Hangers, 2 1/4"
Up for auction is this nice pair of antique picture nails. Used to hang pictures in the Victorian era, when the wires of the frame were longer and hung above the picture. Great set, blue is a harder to find color. The nails are 1 5/8" the overall with the nail head is 2 1/4" long. These have the usual wear and patina from this time period as the pictures show. This is the largest picture nail or curtain tie back I have seen in 35 yrs. Beautiful Sulfide Victorian nail covers. The Giant 6 point star is 2" in diameter and 4 3/4" long with the nail attached.
