VINTAGE BARN SPIKES &HOOK LATCH from TIMBERS IN THE GRAINERY SECTION OF THE BARN
The barn in the country west side of Ann Arbor. MI, was around 80 years old, when we moved into the house across the street. From 1961 to 1968(graduated from high school) we played in the barn that these spikes came from. When the barn was torn down in 1975. I collected these along with many oak barn beams. In 1976 I built an apartment full of furniture using the sliced up barn beams. I thought that I might some day use the metal spikes somehow? Now I am downsizing my material possessions. And I hope to pass these on to a person who can use them, instead of putting them into the metal recycle bin! I combine shipping. The most economical shipping. PA that was built in the 1800's. They have weathered over the years and they have a few water stains. Worm holes and air dry cracks. They were driven into the mortise joints in a post and beam constructed house or barn. They are in a nice rustic condition and would make great hanging hooks or pegs for all sorts of things. Coats, pots and pans, dry flowers, and decorations. These pegs are 6 3/4" to 6 1/8" long.
