Here is an American Standard alcove tub from 1959. It is in'Regency Blue' with a left-hand drain. It is in good overall condition with minimal rust but almost every surface is lightly scuffed/scratched. The floor's enamel is worn with the remaining outlines of tread stick-on shells ... morefrom the previous owner. There are a few spots on the interior where the enamel is scratched, and there are a few small chips here and there throughout. Please check out the photos for condition. The drain hole has a little bit of rust showing but not much. A rust sealer should keep it from spreading prior to installation. The overflow hole shows a bit of cracking in the enamel, though that should be covered by the overflow assembly. There is a large chip on one of the edges. Though this should be covered by tile once installed(see pics) This isn't cosmetically perfect, but it's a well-used survivor. If you can live with some cosmetic imperfections and wear, then this is a great tub! Antique Vintage 'Chase' Bath Tub Drain Overflow Assembly 1930's
Here is a very cool and unique old complete'Chase' tub overflow/drain assembly. This was removed from a home that was built in the 1930's. This has an internal stopper. And it's controlled by a lever that moves from side to side. All components are brass. Both the drain flange and strainer have lost most of their plating. But the strainer has a very unique design that I've never seen before(very Deco) The waste shoe has some dings on it from removal, but it is not cracked or distorted(pic 12) The overflow cover plate houses the lever. And both are fairly scratched/scuffed from years of cleaning. The lever itself does have some dings and there is one small gouge on the overflow cover plate(pics 4-8) The action on the lever is nice and smooth, there looks to be a spring-loaded pin that runs against a guide to give it a little ... morebit of drag. It just feels well-made! The set will be broken down into components for shipment. There are no rubber gaskets included. And I would also recommend replacing the packing at all of the compression joints. Vintage Jadite Bath Towel and Toilet Tissue Paper Holders Bathroom
Up for auction is a jadite bathroom set consisting of a toilet tissue holder and two towel bars. The toilet tissue holder consists of two ceramic holders and a wooden roll. There is some paint wear to the roll and a chip to the front edge of one of the holders. Each of the two towel bar sets consists of two ceramic holders and one jadite glass rod. And measure approximately 18 inches long. There are some small chips to the reduced ends which insert into the ceramic holders, as well as a few small chips to the edges of the thicker portion of the rods. There is also some very slight chipping on the ceramic holders of the towel bars around the holes where screws are inserted to attach the holders to a wall. No attaching hardware is included. VINTAGE FAUCETS Acquired at an estate sale are these antique plumbing fixtures. I am not a plumber so I will do my best to describe the items offered in this auction. I believe the base metal is brass or bronze with a chrome finish. There appears to be some paint splatter or other dirt on each piece so a good cleaning will be needed. I did a basic wipe down with a damp cloth to get the dust off and show the potential of these great pieces. Each one measures 5 ½ inches tall; 4 ¼ inches from the tip of the faucet to the back of the stem; 2 ¾ inches across the handles; water opening of the faucet measures ½ inch by ¼ inch; threaded pipe is ¾ inch and the base that would sit on the sink is 2 inches across. The porcelain cap/knob is clearly marked"waste" and appears that it would turn in one direction to hold the bath water. The other to drain it. The cap is attached(permanently as far as I can tell) to a nickel hardware fixture that is a total of 2.5" in length and 1.5" in diameter. There are two nipples on either side of the tube that I assume are for securing the fixture to one position(hold water) or another(drain water) In the lot where this came from is a long porcelain escutcheon(5" tall; 2.5" diameter at one end; 4" diameter at the other) that looks like a mini nuclear plant tower. My crating fee is $200(the freight charge is separate) or you can contact a freight company that will crate it for you; a reputable carrier that I prefer is'NAVIS Pack& Ship' This weighs approx. 400 lbs. Here is an American Standard'Master Pembroke' alcove tub from 1948. It is in' Ivoire De Medici' with a left-hand drain. The enamel is in very good condition. But the first 1 1/2" around the edges are worn and chipped from where the tile was installed. Otherwise. The floor's enamel gloss is just barely worn and there is a small crack in the enamel near the drain ... moreopening as well as about a 6" mark in the enamel on the back wall of the tub. Check all photos for condition. The drain hole has a little bit of rust showing but not much. A rust sealer should keep it from spreading prior to installation; there is also a small stress crack in the enamel that radiates from the opening(see pics) The overflow hole is very clean with barely any rust showing. For installation purposes. Plan on covering the edges and base of the tub by 1 1/2" to cover the worn spots. This was installed in a bathroom with a stall shower, so it appears that this didn't get a whole lot of use based on the condition and gloss of the enamel. Antique Vintage American Standard Bath Tub Drain Overflow Assembly 1950's
Here is an American Standard tub overflow/drain assembly that dates from the 1950's. This is the design where the stopper is a'pop-up' type that works more like a sink. All components are brass except for the overflow cover and control lever. Which are zinc/pot metal. It operates as it should. The plating on the stopper and drain flange are scuffed/nicked/dinged and worn from years of use. The overflow and lever are very corroded and pitted. As is common for these metals as they age. Check all photos for condition. The set will be broken down into components for shipment. I would recommend replacing all of the rubber gaskets and joint packing prior to installation. This sink had been in a barn storage container for many years. And it appears to have been used very little. It is white in color. The stainless drain cover is still the original, and is stamped"STANDARD" Includes the original faucets and drain hardware, and the two"Standard" company mounting brackets. Antique Vintage Bath Tub Faucet Set 1940's Antique Plumbing
Here is a tub/shower faucet set that was removed from a 1940's-era bathroom. I'm not sure of the manufacturer. This is designed for directing the water down to a spout-only or up to a shower-only, there is no diverter. The upper outlet is plugged, since the shower control for this particular faucet was on the tub spout(not included) Of course, it could also be used in a walk-in shower. The spout that was installed with it was a Crane piece, though I'm pretty sure that this isn't a Crane faucet. The'HOT' cap is missing. And the'COLD' cap is a bit dull from wear(see pics) The handles are lightly pitted, and the escutcheons have just a few light scuffs here and there. I took these out of a Century home that I'm remodeling They was being used until I took them out about a year ago. shows normal wear and oxidation. Gnarls on nuts. Hot and cold cross handles. These are long stems. Which sometimes pass through rim of or are on the exterior of a tub. This is a set of used vintage ceramic tile bath fixtures. They are white with spreckles that appear to be black. There is a toilet paper holder about 6-3/4" by 5" across the face. It projects from the wall about 2-3/8" and the back recess is about 1-1/8" There is a soap dish and a glass holder both approximately 5" by 6-7/8" across the face. They each project from the wall about 2-1/4" and the back recess is about 1-1/8" There is some crazing on the soap dish where the soap sits. There appears to be a minor hairline crack on the right side of the glass holder. There is 1 towel bar holder about 2-5/8" by 2" that projects about 3-5/8" from the wall. It has an approximate 7/8" square opening for the bar. They are in good condition. I accept PAYPAL.
