Mystery vtg plumbing bathtub fixture part ? finial brass stearmpunk decor chrome
This item fascinates me. I have been trying for a long time to figure out what it is. The best I can come up with is some part for perhaps a claw foot bathtub. The chrome(if that is what it is) has a beautiful patina. I am quite sure it must be brass under the chrome as magnet does not stick to it. In fact a magnet will not stick to the screw\ or the nut. The nut looks like it could have been hand forged. The screw is 1 3/8" long and is embedded in the decorative part. The diameter of the base is 2 inches. Not including the screw. The decorative part is 3 3/4" long. I love the fact that there is a little arm with a ring. If you know what this was used for I would appreciate knowing even if you are not interested in bidding. I purchased these old and antique porcelain Bathroom Plumbing fixtures. With a lot of brass hardware for them at an auction, and I know nothing about these things. All of the porcelain thingies, except for one piece is in excellent condition. The one piece has what looks like a surface crack, which however doesn't go through to the other side. One piece has"Standard" on it, and there are 2 buttons with"H" and"C" which are brass-enclosed. I have no idea to what kind of sink or bathtub/shower these go to. My guess, for what it's worth, is that these pieces are probably from the 1900's or so. Winning bidder pays shipping. And I'll ship this as cheaply as possible. I have an old antique cast brass water faucet spigot for your consideration. Heavy cast brass manufacture. This is in nice condition and should clean up nicely. There are some dings and scuffs consistent with its age. Great utility faucet that will bring a lot of character to your home with your watering needs. Looks like a standard 1/2 inch pipe thread. Upon inspection the packing and seats were in poor condition and will need replacing. I left some of the fragments for you to see what will be needed. The valve stem screws in smoothly. Brass Gas or Water Valve or Spigot with a Good Luck Swastika - Old Plumbing
Old brass gas or water valve. This is not my area of expertise- so please ask questions if I leave off anything you need to know. Measures approximately 4 inches X 2 5/8 inches. Key turns fine. The top part has some rust on a little nail like piece inside that is NOT made of brass- see photo. So. There could be more rust somewhere I can't see inside. I don't know if it has other non brass areas. It has 4 old good luck type swastikas. One on each side of the key and one on each side of the top part. I guess they were wishing good luck on the repair. Lots of photos posted- please look at them. I cannot ship this internationally. I have a nice old solid cast brass water spigot for your consideration. Lots or character for your garden. Utility or other water needs. Porcelain handle has a small chip but still usable. Upon inspection valve seat and packing look OK but might need to be replaced since I did not check it. Being sold low start as is for this reason. I think it looks good for reuse though. Some wrench marks, dings and scuffs consistent with its age. There is quite a bit of wear, of the silver chrome finish, all about this hardware. Has a nice adjustable trim escutcheon that spins smoothly too. Nice early paddle handle as well. Questions welcome otherwise what you see is what you get. Antique Porcelain Cold Water Faucet Handle. This faucet handle is for the cold water side. Made from brass that has been plated the metal finish has developed a nice patina. As well as it does show signs of wear. As for the porcelain handle, its in good with a very fine hairline on the underside of the handle. It does not run the entire length of the handle nor does it appear to have any effect on the stability of the porcelain. The hole in the handle measures approx. 3/8 inch in diameter. Overall length of handle is 3 and 3/8 inches long.

Antique Faucet- Cold Water Fixture. Solid Brass With Plating. This cold water faucet is made from solid brass that is plated. As it appears now the plating sure has its share of surface scratches and other issues. But free of dents or dings. However if this faucet was restored with old finished removed, it would be transformed into one awesome solid brass plumbing fixture! I cant say for certain if t need any new washers. However the handle turns freely, and tightens up nicely when in both open and closed positions. It takes a 3/4 inch female coupling. However there is an smaller size adaptor presently attached, that is easily unscrewed. The top if the handle features the old porcelain insert with the word"cold" marked on it. It appears to be in good condition. In need of a cleaning with a very tiny flea bite above the letter"C" ... morebut otherwise free of chips or cracks.

Old nickel plated brass overflow drain pipe with a T connection for a antique clawfoot bathtub. Pipe is in good shape has no cracks. Splits, dents, or breaks. The overflow cover is in good condition and still has its original ring for a drain plug on a chain. The mounting bolt for the overflow cover is slightly bent but it dose not impede its function. There are scratches, wear, light tool marks, and some oxidization on the nickel finish. Measures approx: 12 3/4" from center of the overflow to the end of the pipe. 1 3/8" outside diameter pipe.
