Up for auction and from Standard we offer this Vintage Cast Iron Pedestal Sink. This bathroom sink is porcelain over cast iron and the has been refinished with porcelain so there is no blemishes on it. Before it was restored it had no chips. Cracks or rust anywhere and had its orignal drain and back stopper but no faucets. Standard made this sink in 1923, the pictures in blue show the maker and year it was made. Pror to 1924 Standard did not put an overflow in this production. This beautifull old sink is almost 90 years old and approximate dimensions are, Height 31 1/2" Top 24 1/2"X 20 1/4, Skirt 5" Bottom of pedestal 12" Hot an Cold holes 1 5/6" Center hole 1 1/6" Hot and Cold holes 12" apart on-center. Up for bid is an Lot of Antique White Porcelain Sink and Tub Pieces. There are Faucet Handles that read Hot and Cold. I believe one set is for a tub and the other for a sink. There is also two donut shaped pieces that I think are for the back of the handles but I am not sure(one has a tiny chip along edge that you would not see when assembled. Antique porcelain bathroom faucet. I'm not positive what era this is from. I think the 1940's. The faucet is not in perfect shape but overall good shape for its age. The issues I see are the scuff mark on the fauces part itself. I did try some to clean this and got a lot of it off. I dont think it will come 100% clean or off, it appears to have sunk into the actual porcelain. The other issue is the screw for the cold side had rusted and broken when I tried to remove it, I was able to back the screw out but I believe the brass part will need to be tapped. I believe they are quarter turn handles. There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain just the scuff. No maker on it anywhere I could find. Please view pictures closely. The San Carlos Hotel was built at the Turn of the Century and was very popular with many celebrities and dignitaries during WWII. The San Carlos has since been torn down. Each sink had a single leg. But if one needed they could incorporate these as a pair to a larger sink. These pedestals are solid porcelain(not porcelain glazed on metal) They are each 22 7/8" long x 3 11/16" at the top x 1 5/8" at the foot and weigh 7 lbs. each. Antique Pedestal Bathroom Sink. Cast Iron overlaid with Porcelain. This old sink was pulled from the farmhouse where filming took place for the popular 1985 drama& romance"Witness" Movie. I have not seen the movie personally but I am told this sink is shown in one of the bathroom scenes inside the old house. The old farmhouse was sold and the new owner's completely restored it and this was one of the items replaced. Very good solid sink with obvious cosmetic issues on the front left corner. Offered is a blast from the past: 2 sets of antique porcelain handles and handle base to complete your restoration job. Set is in excellent antique condition- no scratches. Chips or knicks. Antique cast iron farm sink. Single basin left hand drain board. Most of the porcelain is good with the normal small chips, pock marks, and rust spots. But the basin is rough the porcelain is still there but it is very heavily pitted and there is and old porcelain patch in the basin as well. Marked Standard and it measures aprox. 60"long X 22"deep X 18"tall. The basin is 31" X 18" X 5"deep. This is a great farm house sink by Kohler dated 10-27-32 that needs reglazing to restore its' original beauty. The price has been set with that cost in mind. There are no cracks or chips in the cast iron. The sink measures 42" long by 20" deep by 14" high. The backsplash rises 9" above the drainboard. The basin portion measures 15 1/2" deep by 20" wide by 4" deep. The faucet holes are 8" OC. Because of the weight. The sink is 26" wide and 19" deep, but the brackets make it stick out from the wall another inch. Porcelain in the basin and drainboard have a large amount of pitting and has lost a lot of its shine in these areas. Very nice Standard double basin cast iron porcelain sink. This sink is in great condition. There is a few chips on the front apron and one on the side. We have applied some bin primer to these three spots to stop the rust. their is some metal markings in the basin and along the back splash. we think these markings are from modern flatware being tossed into the sink and left a small metal mark. They are very hard to see in the pics and they do not remove any of the integrity of the sink. The sink is 60"long. 22"deep, and 18"tall. It has a 6" apron. A 12" Back splash. The basins are 17" X 18" X 7"deep. The faucet mount holes are 8" apart on center. With some scuff marks on the front rim that may come out with some scrubbing. One small chip as pictured. In front of the waste rod. Oval sink measure approx. 24" wide x 21 1/2" deep x 31" tall. Faucet mounting holes are approx. 1 1/2" each. There is still putty in them both. Sinks basin is approx. 16" x 12" oval and 6" deep. Some light paint splatter. Drain and faucet collar are brass. Antique Porcelain Parts for Restoration, Sink, Toilet, Hot Cold Faucet Inserts
This is an interesting collection of porcelain parts for a bathroom restoration. The original pull handle measures about 3 inches long. The"X" valve measures about 3.25 inches across. There is also a piece to cover a bolt and a hot and cold faucet insert set also made of porcelain. The inserts are 7/8" I have the inserts in other sizes if you are interested in them. The pieces are in great shape and I do not believe they were ever used. The ones that are stamped are from Czechoslovakia. This is a nice lot of stuff for someone restoring an old bathroom and seeking that vintage look with genuine original parts.
