Up for auction is a beautiful Giltwood Salon Suite with two Fauteuils and a large Canape. Each fauteuil is raised on neoclassical style fluted legs. With carved acanthus leaf arms, and a linen-wrap decoration around the crest of the back. On the canape, the fluted carving continues up the arms to a braided crestrail. The carving is very deep and nicely executed over the gilt gesso wood frame. Each piece is upholstered in later fabric, likely done a decade or two ago, with cream and gold colored thread- very elegant and suitable for a high-class setting. Size: Each fauteuil measures 38.5 inches tall by 24 inches wide. The canape measures 39 inches tall by 70 inches wide.
