It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. This is a lovely antique chaise lounge or fainting couch. In beautiful mahogany wood, with carved details. The turned legs have castors for ease of movement. The chaise is upholstered in a neautral bige/tan fabric with tiny burgundy accents, and the backrest is tufted with covered buttons in the same fabric. A matching bolster cushion is included(this is not attached to the couch) Structurally, this piece is in excellent condition. It has some surface wear and a few"dings" commensurate with age and use, and the fabric does have some small pulls, and could proably use a bit of a cleaning, but overall it is in great condition, ready to go. Here we have an absolutely beautiful couch. it's very comfortable as well. I'm not sure of age but it's definitely old. It seems to have a very heavy silk type upholstery. There are a few stains as shown in the picture and the one cushion has some wear going on but not very noticeable. It just needs a cleaning but I don't know much about cleaning that type of material so I'm selling as is. A beautiful piece that can be picked up only.
