The fabric has been replaced along the way with an antique beige that is all buttoned and pleated. It must have been done in the last 10 years or so as it is in lovely condition. The sofa is all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking sofa with a great patina on the wood frame.

It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. This one features an oversized bolstered roll arm that is capped on the front with rich beveled circular mahogany designs. Antique Victorian Settee and 4 chair Rosewood Parlor Set
Item up for bid is an antique Victorian Rosewood Parlor Set. It includes the settee and four chairs. One with arms. There are two larger chairs and two smaller chairs. I do not know much about this set as it was inherited. I am unsure of its age. The frames of the settee and chairs all have patterns with grapes as can be seen in the pictures above. It is slightly different on the chairs than on the settee. Obviously the upholstery is of different colors, but could be reupholstered to match. The condition of the set is good. But it is in need of some repair. The back comes off of the largest chair. I included a picture, so you can see the pegs that hold it together. It looks as though there may have been some repairs to the settee and you can see scuff marks on it in the picture. The items do have scuff marks on them, and there is a chunk ... moreout of the bottom of the wood part of the settee. Some of the seams in the wood of the settee are off a bit too, I included a picture of that. Fabulous Victorian. Edwardian or Hollywood Regency beautifully styled sofa with carved mahogany or walnut back, arms and legs Considering how old it is and being well traveled in its lifetime. It is in exceptionally good condition. Pure class and luxury! The solid wood finely carved floral crest creates an incredible accent for this sofa and makes it such a unique piece that it would be difficult to find anywhere else. It does have a very comfortable cushioned back and seat. There is a richly carved grained wood frame of the entire perimeter along with a fabric gold inlaid ribbon. Supported by cabriolet legs. It had been reupholstered in a rich dark cocoa brown velvety type of material that would blend in well with many decors. There is some damage to the wood frame(pics 2.3, 5- 7) Some pics show normal wear and tear with the finish rubbed, look at pic 6 that shows a crack in the top frame. Also as shown in pic 8, there is some staining to the back of the piece. Measurements: Approx: 57" wide.
