The set is extremely sound ... moreand sturdy with no wobbling. Rowe Manufacturing was(and still is) an upscale furniture manufacturer. The frame is constructed of solid wood and the springs are all in tack with no sagging. This set has been in one home with one owner since it was made in the 1950's. That home was a non-smoking and no-pet home. The fabric appears to be a very thick, heavy nylon blend. There are no stains! There is visible wear only on the cording edge of the chair arms and minor wear on the cording edge of the sofa. Please see pictures as they are part of this description. The dimensions of the sofa are: 95 1/2" long X 34" deep X 28" high. The chair measures 43" wide X 34" deep X 28" high. This set is an iconic 1950's MAD MEN sofa set. Perfect for the Mid Century home. Vintage Four Strand Rattan Living Room Furniture Couch or Sofa and Two Chairs
Up for auction is a set of four strand rattan living room or sun room furniture consisting of one vintage rattan couch or sofa. And two rattan chairs. The overall condition is good, but used. All pieces could use refinishing and some repair to the caning, but they are sturdy and look fine with cushions. One chair has reproduction bark cloth cushions(that match the second rattan sectional couch I have for sale right now) one chair has no cushions, and the couch has contemporary cushions that are too wide for it. Custom cushions for the one chair and couch would look much better, but the set is being sold as-is. The end table is for sale in a separate auction. The couch is 74" wide by 29" high by 35.5" deep.
