One arm, and 2 side chairs. they are ... morenewly recovered with a gorgeous soft pink fabric that is nicely tufted. i said newly, the fabric may be a few years old but it is in new condition. i am not for sure what the fabric may be. i bought this set from a wealthy estate and it is possible that it is silk, but i can not be for sure. at any rate, it is a very fine fabric. there are no damages to the set as far as i can tell, save one of the casters on the sofa kept falling out so i put a dowel in the hole, glued it and redrilled it for the caster. other than that i know of no damage or repairs to the set. it is very sturdy with no wiggles or wobbles etc. the backs of the chairs are all nicely laminated. my pictures are not very good as the lighting where i have this set is poor. the entire set of course is pierced carved in the finest fashion. the detail on this set is as good as i have ever seen in stanton hall. the finish is wonderful, however, my pictures are dull and that is not the true state of the finish. also the color of the wood and fabric is not exact by along shot. i will take the arm chairs outside tomorrow and get some pictures in the sunlight. the room they are in is inside the middle of my house and there are no windows there. anyway, i can get some much more accurate photos of the finish and colors of the wood and fabric and should anyone care to see them i will be more than happy to send them to you. also if there is anything else you want to see close up of, please ask and i will supply them as well. the legs are nicely carved, fluted, and contoured which does not show well in the pictures, nor does the carving in the center of the front of the seat support show very well. it is i promise you a very wonderful set. i am starting it at a money back price or less. i see a three piece set on ebay for 55K and 2 side chairs for 20K. the sofa is 66 inches wide, 49 inches tall, and the seat is

I call it Victorian, but it could be Edwardian. the arm got broken by a guest a few years ago. It doesn't look like it would be too hard to fix. Not sure of the wood, but it is stained nearly black, like the Victorians liked. The floral fabric is sort of like carpetbag material. It does have tiny rollers on the legs for easeir movement. I had it set up in front of the fireplace with a tea table between them. It was so charming. I hate to get rid of it, but space forces me. Please. Antique Victorian Settee and 4 chair Rosewood Parlor Set
Item up for bid is an antique Victorian Rosewood Parlor Set. It includes the settee and four chairs. One with arms. There are two larger chairs and two smaller chairs. I do not know much about this set as it was inherited. I am unsure of its age. The frames of the settee and chairs all have patterns with grapes as can be seen in the pictures above. It is slightly different on the chairs than on the settee. Obviously the upholstery is of different colors, but could be reupholstered to match. The condition of the set is good. But it is in need of some repair. The back comes off of the largest chair. I included a picture, so you can see the pegs that hold it together. It looks as though there may have been some repairs to the settee and you can see scuff marks on it in the picture. The items do have scuff marks on them, and there is a chunk ... moreout of the bottom of the wood part of the settee. Some of the seams in the wood of the settee are off a bit too, I included a picture of that. The underside of a couple of the chairs have the fabric torn loose under them, so you can see inside the chair. There is a chip off of the top of one of the chairs as well, on the grape pattern. I included a picture of that. I am not an antique dealer. But I am describing them to the best of my ability. Antique Barouqe Style Parlor Set with Couch and two chairs
This is what looks to be an original but its hard for me to date. It has a deep red velvet brochade uhpholstery that is in fair condition some fading and wear. One seat springs in chair and one side of couch are busted. Back fabric is particularly faded and worn, and is torn on one chair but the bones and guts are in great shape. Original upholstery tacks, wood carved and heavy sturdy frame, with gilded gold finish. Unusual Maritime symbol of"mermaid" playin a flute. This came from an Estate Sale in Savannah Georgia. I really wanted to have it restored, but just will probably never get around too it. Make an offer, I might even consider trades.

5 pc Victorian Walnut Parlor /Living Room set Restored
Here is a 5pc Victorian Walnut Parlor Set. In Excellent Condition. Couch and two arm chairs and two ladies chairs. Purchased in 1980 in rural Middletown, N.Y. It Has been completely restored in 1981, it retains its original horse hair. All 5 layers of tacks removed(has replaceable tack rail) All Springs completely retied, frame refinished and retightened. Inner frame Oak, Exterior Walnut.The set was very seldom used it was just for looks to us. Was recovered for us a second time in 2004 or so, just to change the color.
