Antique Vintage Kohler Bathroom Sink Shelfback Faucet Set 1950's
This faucet set was removed from a Kohler shelfback sink. The sink was beyond saving so this was removed. It includes the drain/pop-up assembly as well. This type of faucet set would be found on Kohler sinks from the 1950's and 60's, typically cast iron sinks. All of the faucet trim pieces are in good shape. With a few nicks/scratches/pitting here and there but nothing terrible(see pics) The spout is also in good shape with a few small nicks, and the pop-up rod moves freely and operates properly. The pop-up assembly's plating is also in very nice shape with great original shine. The drain trim piece and stopper are also in nice shape. Check photos for condition. This is the twist-and-lift stopper design that was used. Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers and packing ... morebefore use. I was told that they are over 75 years old. I don't know enough about these faucets to verify that they are in fact over 75 years old, but they look very old. One handle is marked"COLD" and the other is marked"HOT" The porcelain is not cracked or chipped. These faucets would make a great addition to your plumbing restoration project. Antique Vintage American Standard Shower Tub Faucet Set & Diverter Spout 1950's
Here is an American Standard faucet set that was removed from a 1950's-era bathroom. This is for a tub& shower application. There is knob on the spout that acts as a diverter to turn on the shower. There is also a matching shower pipe escutcheon that's included. The chrome on the handles& caps is in nice shape with very minimal pitting. The stems also have minimal wear to their chrome. The escutcheons are lightly pitted and corroded with some scratches, but fortunately replacements can be found online. The spout has lightly worn plating along with some scuffs and scratches, but overall it's in very good shape. The shower pipe escutcheon is fairly pitted, and the set screw has been replaced with a new stainless steel set screw. Both valves open and close as they should. I believe the feet are made of cast iron. They are certainly cast- either iron or a steel alloy. They are not aluminum. CONDITION- It looks like someone partially stripped two of these feet& got distracted. Two of them were a lovely shade of"I Can't Believe Someone Bought This Color Yellow" with white underneath& many peeled areas. Two are"Mostly Stripped White" The remaining paint. As seen in the photos, is not in great shape. You may want to re-paint, or leave them as-is, with all their vintage glory. SAFE& EASY PAINT STRIPPING- Boiling these in water will loosen the paint quite readily for easy peeling and eliminate lead paint sanding dust or handling harmful chemicals. Here is a tub/shower faucet set that was removed from a 1940's-era bathroom. I'm not sure of the manufacturer. This is designed for directing the water down to a spout-only or up to a shower-only, there is no diverter. The upper outlet is plugged, since the shower control for this particular faucet was on the tub spout(not included) Of course, it could also be used in a walk-in shower. The spout that was installed with it was a Crane piece, though I'm pretty sure that this isn't a Crane faucet. The'HOT' cap is missing. And the'COLD' cap is a bit dull from wear(see pics) The handles are lightly pitted, and the escutcheons have just a few light scuffs here and there. It projects from the wall about 2-3/8" and the back recess is about 1-1/8" There is a soap dish and a glass holder both approximately 5" by 6-7/8" across the face. They each project from the wall about 2-1/4" and the back recess is about 1-1/8" There is some crazing on the soap dish where the soap sits. There appears to be a minor hairline crack on the right side of the glass holder. There is 1 towel bar holder about 2-5/8" by 2" that projects about 3-5/8" from the wall. Here is a set of 3 matching porcelain escutcheons that were found on'Standard' faucet sets through the 1930's. These were made for tub/shower sets with the center escutcheon marked with the'Standard' logo(the other 2 are blank) They come with the ferrules and nipples as well. The porcelain has some small pocks/dots from manufacturing. As well as a few small spots of wear. The plating on the ferrules is in fair shape, with some wear in spots. Vintage mid century brass fish bathroom 5 piece set japan original finish screws
Up for auction is a brass fish bathroom set made in Japan. I would guess it to be from the 40's or 50's. This came out of an elderly ladies house that is remodelling her bathroom. It is the original patina and i have not cleaned them in any way. They show the usual wear a vintage item would. It also comes with the original screws. There is a soap dish and a cup holder. There are two towel bars one measuring 17.5 inches and the other measures 12 inches. The hand towel double hoop measures about 9 inches in diameter for the larger hoop. Wouldn't want to spoil the patina that only time can create. They measure 3 1/16” across and ¾” tall. The opening for the top of the valve spline measures a tight ½” across and is approx. 5/8" deep. So your splines O.D. needs to be ½” across at its widest. If you’re at all in doubt that these will fit please contact us before bidding.
