Solid Brass Faucet Vintage C.1955 Sherle Wagner bathroom Ornate Heavy
Beautiful Antique/Vintage bathroom faucet. Solid brass construction. Even the valves are brass. This faucet will last forever. Not like the cheap fixtures they make today. The underside has an S stamped in it. My research leads me to think it is a Sherle Wagner. She is a well know designer from NY. She is still in business and you can hew her website. I am not an expert so please don't take my word for it. The faucet is very heavy. Is in great shape. Has a few scratches but they are small and I couldn't get a picture of them. There is a perfect amount of patina on it. The rubber seals inside are in great shape. Handles still function very well. This is a very nice faucet. It will be the centerpiece of any bathroom. Wonderful vintage and very heavy solid porcelain bathroom sink. Made by the Standard company, in 1948, according to the numbers on the bottom of the sink. This sink had been in a barn storage container for many years. And it appears to have been used very little. It is white in color. The stainless drain cover is still the original, and is stamped"STANDARD" Includes the original faucets and drain hardware, and the two"Standard" company mounting brackets. Up for auction is an antique brass shower head. This head I would guess weighs 2- 3 pounds. The face diameter is 4" and it is 2 3/4" from the face to the tail. There is a calcium buildup on the face and it is tarnished. It has scratches from pliers used on it in the past. The face appears to be threaded to the body. But I did not try to remove it. I am NOT a plumbing expert but I think this is an"over the tub" or Free standing type faucet. In other words I am guessing the pipes would come down from the ceiling to connect to this faucet. The handles have a silvertone that appears to be nickel over brass. It has markings of H for hot and C for cold on the lever still knobs. Included are two retrofit brass nuts to fit today's style plumbing. MEASUREMENTS: The NEW Retro fit brass connections nuts(included) are 3 1/4 inches on center. From knob to knob it measures 8 inches wide. The actual spigot measures about 5 1/2 inches long. Finish is wearing off the handles but this only adds to the wonderful patina. Very HEAVY! The neck would accept a fitting of about 3" dia. x about 1 1/8" depth. This may be similar in appearance to some dental equipment rinse sinks, but I do not know if it would be compatible. The bowl is in very good condition overall, but there is some chipping to the bottom edge that would be hidden by whatever fitting holds the bowl. Please zoom the photos for a closer look. Vintage Retro Mid Century Art Deco NOS Complete Bathtub & Shower Set Heavy Brass
This is a Beautiful. Very high quality mid century tub and shower set manufactured by Harmony HOUSE, and sold by Sears. Unlike late model thin tinny fixtures you pay hundreds of dollars for and dent if you drop a bar of soap on them. This set is very heavy solid brass. The handle set weighs 3 1/2 lbs, tub spout 2 1/2 lbs. and the shower head is 1 1/4 lbs. Also included is a mid century Hall-Mack Coronado soap and grab with removable soap dish for a complete original retro mid century tube and shower set of the highest quality. This set is quit stunning. The sides of the handles and the inset of the back plate are a frosted textured chrome. And the top of the spout is brushed chrome with the remaining areas of the pieces and shower head being finished in a mirror bright chrome. This is for a vintage wolverine faucet and it is about 9 1/2" long and the spigot about 6"it is nice and clean but could use a deep polish to get off tiny scum spots around fittings but easliy done-also it is missing the hot handle and also the soap dish-I do not know the exact age or really anything at all about it excpet it is old and it was clean enough to list-Please ask if you have any other questions. sorry my pictures are not all that great
