Location: Fairhope, United States Up for auction is this 1920's Mott double basin sink and legs. I have only seen a couple of these from the Mott company in the years and were mostly ... moreknown for high end bath fixtures. The sink is approx 51.5" wide by 24" front to back" by 14" high. The apron is 6" and the backsplash is 8" The basins are approx 21" wide by 19" There is a super deep basin on the left at approx 12" deep and the right is 6" deep. The sink has its original porcelain which is 80+ years old and has been used. It shows signs of wear and tear. Sm chips, nicks, scratches, dull spots, light staining, thinner areas, etc etc due to use over the years. That being said, the sink is still much nicer than normally found. These earlier sinks are almost all completely worn though and very rough. The sink includes its cast iron legs that are adjustable for height and a set of wall hangers. The underside of the sink and the legs could use a fresh coat of paint which I would gladly do if prefered. The faucet required is a wall mount with 8" centers. The can be found here under"wall mount kitchen faucet" and start at $40 and up. They make real nice ones now, even with sparayers. Please see photos. I do my best with the photos I take so you can see exactly what you are getting. Pictures of the sink are the exact sink up for auction and I do not use file photos of similar sinks. The sink would be perfect for any home restoration, or a kitchen makeover.It is sure to make a statement and be a focal point in any style kitchen. This is a rare find indeed. I found this sink in an abandoned house and with great effort retrieved it for sale. It is not in the worst of condition. Being that it is nearly 100 years old. There are plenty of places that restore sinks and tubs, found in the yellow pages and would love to help you in restoring this item. I would rather sell it in it's original form, then restore it and try to get top dollar for it. It is made of cast iron, and is a Crane Corner sink. Manufacture date places it in 1929, which is around the time of the great depression. Which is astounding in it's self. Especially since there were not many things that were made during that time. Antique Vintage Kohler blue Bathroom Sink W/original hardware& Towel Bars 1930s. Sink porcelain over cast iron. This sink is marked Kohler USA on bottom. Also marked K-1975. 24 x 20 8110-3 9. The towel bars are marked Kohler USA and the knobs and drain are marked Kohler USA. I contacted Kohler and was told it is a Jamestown sink from the late 1930's, making it at least 75 years old. It is a wall mount style. This sink Measures 24 x 20 according to the factory, and I measure it as 4 inches tall. The hot and cold knobs turn and there is a small extra faucet on the side which needs a knob. Since that knob is missing I am not sure if extra faucet is original Kohler knob or not. I assume it was for filtered water. It appears to be plumbed for that on underside. The sink itself is in very good condition. There are no cracks or majors chips, ... morejust some tiny little dings, see photos. A 70 year old sink will have some porcelain wear, but this does not have a lot, there is minor surface scratching and I have tried to photo any wear. Drain is tight and sink basin does hold water. Drain plug needs to be attached, and I believe the piece is there on underside to do it, but I don't know how to do it. There is one hairline crack on underside of sink. It is not on the sink basin itself but on underside of basin lip by underside pipe. It appears cosmetic only, and is not visible from above. Chrome underside pipe is also marked Kohler. see photos. I have seen a picture of this sink attached to the wall. With a pedestal underneath, so I believe it can be pedestal style. But since it is very heavy, I can see why is should be wall mounted with pedestal as cosmetic. I do not have the hardware to mount this. All hardware and plumbing you see in photo comes with this. Faucets and knobs and drain all included. Faucet and knobs are very solid on sink. The extra small faucet had a washer that came off. Extra faucet on side was solid. Vintage Farmhouse Cabin Kitchen sink from 1941 - cast iron, drainboard, faucets
Up for auction is this cast iron kitchen sink with drainboard from 1941 including 3 faucets. The faucet handle to the far right is bent upwards but should be easily fixable. It does show signs of use as there are marks and some chips. These can be fixed with enamel or epoxy-based paint/resins. There are also repair kits available and the option of having the entire sink re-done with the porcelain enamel. I believe Custom Ceramic Coatings out of Illinois does this. The sink is 3' 8" long x 1' 8" wide and the basin is around 7" deep. It easily weighs over 100 lbs. This sink would be great for a home restoration or cabin getaway project. Here is a porcelain-over-cast iron'shelfback' American Standard sink from 1964. The color is white. This also includes a set of legs, though this sink can be installed without them if you prefer. Overall the sink is in great shape with just a few scuffs/scratches in the enamel. There are some signs of light rusting along the bottom of the apron. It was made by American Standard Radiator in Louisville on 10/6/1941 with a stamped size of 25" x 72" Bowl is in the center of it and is 20 1/2" wide by 18" deep at the top and then rounds out to the bottom to 18" deep by 15" wide. Depth from top to bottom is 7" Faucet holes are just under 1 1/2" diameter and 8" on center. Back splash is about 8 1/2" to 9" above the drain boards. Condition is excellent with some minor scratches and a few small pits to the porcelain on the left hand side edge. These 6 foot ones are one of the hardest to find and you can't buy a new one of this quality for $1000.00 I've sold several over the past ... moreyears with the last couple going down along the Chesapeake Bay and they are using them for fish cleaning stations. Very unique. Kinda reminds as something that would be on the Jetson's. Vintage Antique Crane porcelain over cast iron kitchen farmhouse sink
This is a rare Crane"Kitchen Queen" cast iron over porcelain kitchen sink. Crane sinks of this style with the arched faucet mount area are hard to find. Finding the original Crane"Dial Eze" faucet is almost impossible. They don't make the faucets anymore. This is your chance to transform your kitchen back in time with an unusual sink with the original faucet. The sink shows some expected wear like dings(pic# 12 is an example) Some scratches, and a some spider cracks(pic# 10) that can be patched with a kit but overall a very nice sink. I believe the sink was made in 1948. The stamp mark under the sink in pic# 9(8 48) I believe it stands for the month and year manufactured August 1948. These sinks were made from the late 40s through 60s. The faucet may need a couple of new cartridges(around $15 each) and a new set of ... morewashers that can be picked up at a hardware store. I've never had the sink hooked up. If you dont have any plumbing skills, its best to hire a plumber to hook everything up and make sure everything is ok. I have taken a photo(pic#11) of the clips and where they should be installed to hold the faucet on. It would also need silicone underneath the plastic grey curved plate where the faucet attaches to the sink. Sink needs a new sprayer. It goes in the whole shown in pic#7. The sink measures 72" wide by 25" deep. It has a 4" backsplash. The basins are 15 1/2" x17 1/2" and about 7 inches deep. Dont miss out. This is a very heavy sink. RARE Vintage Jadeite GREEN Cast Iron Kohler Farm Bib Drainboard Kitchen Sink
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Rare original antique/vintage porcelain over cast iron jadeite or mint GREEN Kohler Farmhouse bib-style kitchen sink with drainboard. Also back-mount faucet. And two Standard mounting brackets are included in the purchase price. CONDITION: Sink: Good vintage condition. No major chips or cracks in the porcelain. Minor chips due appear at various areas at the bottom of the sink. But are very small and only add to the authenticity of this great sink. Some light rust stains DO APPEAR on the drainboard. and the buyer may want to add an additional clear coat to the sink to increase the gloss of the sink. From years of use. The luster of the sink has dulled slightly and an added clear coat wold further help protect the sink from additional dulling and chipping. Faucet: The back-mount faucet is in good vintage/working condition ... moreand fits the sink fine. However the round flange plate pieces which cover the extra space between the faucet and the sink holes have been lost and ARE NOT included with the sink, but can be purchased at any hardware store. Some scratches in the top chrome coating are present. Also the internal pieces of the aerator ARE ABSENT. But are also available for purchase at your local hardware store as is standard procedure when buying a used sink. Mounting Brackets: The Standard mounting brackets are the same size and both manufactured by Standard Plumbing. But DO NOT match. Although they function almost exactly the same, each bracket if from a different era. When they are placed one on top of the other, the mounting hole do match up, however one bracket has more mounting holes than the other. This however doesn't affect the functionality of the brackets. Also some very minor surface rust do appear on the brackets, but is easily cleaned and has not affected the strength of the cast iron. Additional Parts. Pieces, Hardware: Besides the brackets.
