I'm venturing to guess it's more for a wash tub or something because of the aluminum arms it has for mounting and the fact that the water lines actually go through the top of the unit. Antique Plumbing Tub Deep Sink Faucets & Drain Stopper 1" Pipe 3-1/2" On Centers
Antique plumbing tub or deep sink faucet. It is used and in very good antique condition with some minor roughness on the handles which could be replaced. There is some roughness on the metal drain chain plate. The faucets appear to be a cast metal(not iron) as a maginet won't stick to it. I believe it is chrome over brass although I cannot see any brass showing through any where. It is complete with washers and pipe nuts. The pipe ends are 1" and it is 3-1/2" center to center. There is also two donut shaped pieces that I think are for the back of the handles but I am not sure(one has a tiny chip along edge that you would not see when assembled. The plating is worn and lightly scuffed in spots from years of cleanings. The escutcheon also has a spot where the plating is missing from a long-term leak. All components are brass. The inlet looks to be beveled on the inside. And the thread on the outside is an unusual size so you may need to be creative to connect this to your plumbing. The fact that it's solid brass makes soldering a possibility in case the threads don't match anything else. What we are offering here is an elegant Gothic Victorian mixer faucet for a clawfoot tub or sink. It has ornate side handle levers. A tapered straight-down spout, and a small circular soap dish on top. It measures about 8½" from side to side, and 6" from the top of the soap dish to the bottom of the spout. The supply pipes are about 3½" on center. It is made of nickel plated brass, but the nickel is pitted and worn, and the two main hex nuts are badly burred from careless wrench usage. The only manufacturer identity I see is the word"Wolverine" on the stoppers. It does not appear to be in working order. Antique J.L. Mott Iron Works NY Sink Tub Water Faucet With Attached Soap Dish
Here is a great old antique faucet made by J.L Mott Iron Works of NY. I am quite certain this is brass. That is chrome or nickel plated. It is very heavy and weighs nearly 7 lbs and measures about 9" wide. Distance between centers of hot and cold water pipes is about 6 1/8" It has the manufacturer name stamped in the faucet. Very unique in that it has the built in soap dish, still in great condition, permanently attached to the back of the faucet. Both of the faucet stems are bent as can be seen in the pictures. They both still turn, but are limited in movement. I don't know what impact these bent stems will have on the faucet, or the level of effort to fix them. Also, a couple of the round balls on the faucet handles are also bent. I believe the hot and cold plates are porcelain(although not positive) but they are both in nice ... moreshape with no cracks or chips out of them. The H in Hot is a bit worn. Solid brass stopper, brass chain and attachment which fit in a hole provided for in an old porcelain sink. Circa 1910. It is attached to a 2" threaded bolt which was secured under the sink with a nut. Stopper is 1 1/8" diameter. Chain is 18" and attachment stands 1 3/4" at top of sink. The balls are approx. 1 1/8" across and the brackets are about 5" long overall. The top of the brackets have a"hook" type connection that is approx. 1" wide by 5/8" where it sits, the bottom"tabs" are about 3/4" wide. Antique/Vintage Methven/Steriline Chromium Tub/Sink Faucets - USA
These two old hot/cold chromium faucets are in nice looking shape and the handles both turn nicely. These faucets were made of brass and chromium and the only thing steel was the existing nipples screwed into them. They are heavy at 2 lbs. 1 oz. each. Without the nipple, they are 6 3/8" long, 5" high and 1 1/2" wide with a 2 1/2" diameter handle and wall flange. Of course there are some small nicks, water spots etc. from age but no cracks or breaks.
