vintage antique toilet CASE side-lever one-piece kidney tank 1924-27, NO lever
GENERAL NOTES: I just bought out the inventory of a plumbing store that had belonged to one plumber or another in Lincoln Nebraska since the 50s. It was FULL of antique toilets of all kinds. Over a thousand lids, old hardware, handles, all kinds of things. I'm going to be listing it slowly for probably a year or more. So check back if you're into antique plumbing stuff! Here we have one of the three Case kidney tank one-piece toilets I got. See my other auctions for the other two. THIS one does NOT have the side lever in place(see my other auctions for one that does) The toilet is in generally good shape I think. No cracks or chips I could see. It does have mineralization in the bowl. A lot of wax residue around the edge of the base. You'll need to do some additional cleaning on this toilet- I don't have the washdown facilities ... morein this warehouse to handle lots of water and chemicals, so all I can really do with these old toilets is spritz them down with cleaner and wipe off the dust and easy dirt from probably half a century AT LEAST of basement storage. PLEASE be sure you know what you're getting into with these old case toilets. The parts are very expensive, when you can find them. I DO also have the kidney lid for sale separately. The lids are more contemporary castings from the 60s or 70s. As mentioned below, these toilets are a freight item. I will build a crate for this toilet, and the crate will be lined with 1.5" beadboard styrofoam planks. The hinge is actually studded right into the wood of both the upper and lower pieces. The hinge is brass with some plating remaining and will need polished. The ringed wood seat has a split at front and rear in the middle but very solid. Tank cover is in good shape with light slits inbetween wood sections on one end. The house was built in 1890. The solid oak wood was hand stripped and professionally refinished. It has a copper liner that appears to be in excellent shape, but always have it checked for leaks before installing. The mounting brackets are original and refinished. The original flushing mechanism was a push-button flush. It has been converted to a handle-flush. A 3"x 2" by 1/8" thick nickel-plated cover plate, easily found at a hardware store, would cover the original screw and flusher holes. Old Time Oak Toilet Tank Part, Brass Lever for Flushing Mechanisim
This lot offers the hinged brass lever and white porcelain knob shown in the photographs. This is part of an early flushing mechanism for the first flushing toilets. The brass lever measures 8 1/2 inches long. I am not certain how this would have been arranged in the tank as modern toilets do not have a part such as this. The nickle plated ring that would have shown from the outside of the tank is present but pitted. The white porcelain handle is also present. The handle slips in and out and there is a set screw or some locking mechanism missing that would have kept the handle from pulling out. I did not find a makers mark. Only the letters"M-VD" It is an interesting piece and hopefully someone will be able to put it to good use! Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Offered for sale is: OAK TOILET TANK& LIDS– No Liner It measures approx. 22-1/4” wide at the top and approx. 21.5” wide at the bottom. The depth is approx. 7-1/4” at the sides and it measures approx. 15-1/4” high. The detached solid oak top lid measures ¾” thick and the attached solid oak bottom is 1-1/8” thick. The solid oak tank sides are a little over ¾” thick. Refinished and Repaired 30 years ago The detached oak top and attached oak bottom of the toilet tank are antique but my Dad replaced the rounded front corners. Inside tank supports, and the front panels about 30 years ago. He either replaced or re-planed the 3/4" thick side boards. He refinished it at that time with a medium brown stain. My Dad always used several coats of polyurethane as a finishing sealer. The finish is very ... moresmooth not rough. This tank is the wall mount style. He did not attach the top oak lid in case I wanted to use it on a modern porcelain toilet tank instead of the modern porcelain tank lid(see photo) This is a great display item or you could restore it to working condition if desired. Reproductions are still made and parts should be available. The poly finish has some light scratches. The detached antique oak top lid has a protruding corner, and the attached antique oak bottom has a small marred area on the front left side and the curved side edges have some old age splits– see pictures for condition. UMMM.I'm not sure what this is for. But.it's a NICE ONE! It is a copper& brass tank float, but what it went in is a mystery to me. It has the manufacturer's name& town on it: KEEN MFG in Vineland N.J. The copper part is a little under 2.75" dia. Scratches and wear consistent with age/use. Nice patina! Maybe it could fit in with a Steampunk creation! I do not charge handling fees. I try to charge you what the P.O. is going to charge me for shipping/ins. This is an antique wall-mount toilet tank removed from a grand 1915 home in excellent working condition. The maker's mark on the back of the wall mount tank appears in the photos. There is one small cured'chip' more like a wear spot) on the top of the tank that is fully covered by the tank cover(see first photo) The tank has a brass and ceramic flush knob lever. Offering an antique oak bent wood toilet tank. Label in place indicates. Pat Appl’d For, Central Mfg. Co. Holland, Michigan. A commode tank being offered for parts or restoration. I’ve included several images. Please view them all closely. The tank appears to be complete inside. The liner is zinc with copper and brass plumbing components. A tank showing no abuse but does show some age. What I see needing attention is: Finish on the oak. A couple hair lines in the wood, one end of the tank cover has some movement. Here is a nice old toilet tank& lid from The Keystone Pottery Co. One of the many vitreous china manufacturers in Trenton, NJ at the turn of the 20th century. There is no bowl included. This is just for the tank& lid. See all photos for condition. Both parts are in very nice shape with no crazing in the glaze. The original porcelain flush handle is in excellent condition as well with no cracks or chips. The only real items of note are a small chip on either side of the tank lid. And a small group of light scuffs/scratches along the right side of the tank. See photos 3,4,5 for those. The guts look to be original. There is no flush tube included with the tank. The only piece that's ... moremissing is the rubber ball valve which looks to have dry-rotted away(this tank was found in a barn after what appears to be many years of storage) The tank is designed to be mounted to the wall, and based on the markings the pieces were manufactured in 1931. A beautiful and quite rare antique brass& porcelain overhead toilet tank"pull to flush" pull knob labelled"PULL" With chain. Having collected a number of oak tin-lined overhead toliet tanks over the years I can attest to how difficult these knobs are to find. This one is in excellent condition. With the exception of the flaw noted above which is neither noticeable(without close examination) nor evident of any weakness in the body of the porcelain. Please examine the photographs which clearly show the flaw.

Vintage, Rare Embossed Crane Toilet and Matching Tank
BEAUTIFUL 1914? EMBOSSED ANTIQUE CRANE ENARC TOILET WITH MATCHING TANK This is a Crane Vitreous China Toilet. This is a very rare toilet. I’ve only seen the toilet bowl one other time and have never seen one with a matching tank. The tank is very rare. In 35 years of restoring houses and working in the field of historic preservation I’ve never seen one with the lever that protrudes through the top of the lid. All the ports inside the toilet rim are clean and work properly. New spud washer and brass fitting have replaced the one shown in the photo(visible in You Tube Video) New flush valve has been installed. Toilet is has been checked out and is working properly. There are no chips on the toilet. Some crazing in the finish on the bowl and bottom flange of toilet where it’s Anchored to the floor. Bowl mounts are solid and the flange on the ... morebottom of the toilet is solid and in great shape. Wall mounts for tank are included. Some hard water staining in bowl. Light in color. These could probably be removed with some elbow grease. Embossing is crisp and intact. It appears to say 1910 as per last photo. The Trenton Potteries Co. made pieces for Crane. The company was organized by the consolidation of five sanitary ware establishments. The mark used by the consolidated company was a star. The numeral in the star indicates the plant where the ware was produced. 1, Crescent(Toilet Bowl) 3, Empire(Toilet Tank) The toilet weighs about 65 pounds and tank weight about 35 pounds. Very nice raised panel solid oak toilet tank. Has beautiful solid brass rose wall brackets attached. Will come with feed line and toilet tank to bowel pipe as well as the original wooded pull handle and chain. The tank has some minor gapping at the seems. The brass lines have wear consistent with age. The pull handle is in good condition has no splits or cracks the attached chain has some surface rust. All tank parts appear to be present. Antique Decorative Porcelain Toilet Victorian Quieto Oak Tank Seat Old 3498-14
Very nice and rare decorative white porcelain toilet with a solid oak tank and seat. Marked quieto behind the seat and on the side it is marked"Manufactured expressly for Samuel Sloan Co Plumbers Supplies in Rochester NY" The porcelain has a lot of crazing to add to the character of an already decorative bowl. No cracks or chips have been found that would take away from its functionality. The oak tank and lid are copper lined and appear to be complete with all tank parts. There is a tag on the face of the tank that reads"Fred J. Kaiser& Co. North Tonawanda, NY" There is also a patent date on the back of the tank that reads Nov 9 1897. Antique toilet tank, copper lined original hardware, restored, fabulous!
This is an antique copper lined toilet tank that sits on the top of the commode with all of the original fixtures that it came to me with. Everything works although some of the rubber items might need some checking for age. I refinished the piece. It had about 3 coats of various colors of paint. It would be great for someone who is restoring an old house or someone who just wants to add a nostalgic touch. It's the size of a regular toilet tank before the low flow toilets were introduced and should fit any older style toilet. You will need a new gasket between the tank and the toilet. This was drawn by William Griffith in black ink on light cardboard stock for his General Science class. This drawing had been tightly rolled up going on 80 years. When I reverse rolled it into a tube, this caused some horizontal creasing, just care to be accurate. This is still a nice drawing to frame and hang as a conversation piece. Antique Douglas Porcelain High or Wall Tank Toilet - Early 1900's
Here's a nice porcelain high or wall toilet tank made by Douglas. Has aged well showing normal wear. Crazing, and marks. The lid has a hairline crack that for the most part does not go all the way though and the integrity is still good. All internal are present and in good condition. Has nice unusual flush lever. Due to size and weight this will be for pickup only. If you arrange for a shipper to pick it up as is and take care of the crating then that's ok.
