VINTAGE LATE VICTORIAN 3 ARM SOLID BRASS TOWEL RACK/HOLDER BRASSCRAFTERS? 9 pics Subject: An antique. Late Victorian, three arm, solid brass with old nickel plate towel rack/ holder. This is a very heavy, early piece which measures about 11 1/2 inches at it's longest point by 4 9/16 inches at it's highest point. The overall weight of this piece is about 2 pounds and 5 ounces. The nickel plating on this piece does appear to have some oxidation issues going on. As an after thought experiment, after I took the photos, I sprayed a small amount of orange glow on a rag, and along with some elbow grease did some cleaning on the top arm. The results were that this item retains more than 95 percent of it's nickel plating, and that most of that has a very lite surface oxidation, that would more than likely clean up very well if one used ... morea proper polish instead of orange glow. The piece does have some paint residue on the bracket, most of that being on the back of the bracket, as well as some small paint splatters but here again the proper polish would more than likely remove most of the paint. This piece is unmarked from what I can tell but it does appear to have the type of high quality one would find in one of The Brasscrafters pieces. VINTAGE LATE VICTORIAN BRASSCRAFTERS TRADE MARK TOILET PAPER ROLL HOLDER 10 pics Subject: A late Victorian antique Brasscrafters toilet paper roll holder. Solid brass with spherical brass balls/ knobs that have been soldered on the sides. And a wood roller that still retains 90+ percent of it's original black enamel paint. This piece measures about 6 3/8 inches at it's widest point by about 4 1/2 inches at it's longest point. The wooden roller is about 5 3/16 inches long, not counting the brass tips at it's ends. Many of these toilet room fixtures were nickle plated on brass, including many Brasscrafters fixtures, but this Brasscrafters toilet paper holder shows no signs of ever having had nickle plating. There is no residue of nickle plating anywhere on this item, there is a small spot of white metal on the back but this ... moreappears to be some solder that splattered on the piece, and not any sort of plating residue. The piece is marked" TRADE MARK The Brasscrafters" It has three holes for mounting. This item does show some very minor signs of age patination like small surface scratches, and minimal oxidation effect but overall it is in excellent condition considering it's 100 plus years of age. One of the brass tips, on the end of the wood roller, appears to have been slightly worn but it still works very well. This item comes with free shipping to anywhere in the United States. Up for auction is a ca. 1900 Victorian period solid brass. Wall-mounted toothbrush and cup holder. Please note: This is a period item, it is NOT a reproduction of any kind! This came out of a home in the Garden District in Galveston, Texas. It has the remnants of at least two layers of paint, white and green, so this will need restoration, but there are no structural flaws, damages or repairs. This is an easy restoration, either remove the paint and repaint, or remove the paint and polish the brass. Personally, I would take this down to the brass but I will leave this decision up to the new owner. This measures approximately 3-1/2" wide at it's widest point x 7-1/2" in height with a 5" extension from the wall. Antique 19th Cent. Victorian Era Cast Iron & Wood Toilet Paper Holder
This is an antique 19th century Victorian cast iron and wood toilet paper holder ca. 1880's. Notice the cute little gripping hands that mounts it to a wall or cabinet. There is a heavier bar that raises up and down that was apparently used to tear the paper. The frame measures 8" wide x 4 1/8" high; the bar that raises measures 8 7/8" wide and the wood roller measures 7 1/2" wide. The hands are wired on the frame so they would not get lost. I could put one on, but they buyer may want his own, and I have no old one. It appears to have some cracks in the cup holder, but they almost look like they were made that way. I can't be sure. Antique Victorian toothbrush holder Wood & hand bead work - UNIQUE!
Well. I can't say for sure that this is a toothbrush holder, but when i bought it(about 15 yrs. ago from an antique store) that's what they said it was. It's a very curious item. Looks handmade and if I had to venture a guess, I would say it is the"Eastlake" style. At the highest point it stands about 6& 1/4" tall and at its widest(across the front) it is approximately 4& 1/2" It is all original, with the exception of one little nail on the back(you can clearly see the shiny nail in the pic. I put that in years ago to make the shelf part a little tighter. The little shelf piece still have a very small amount of"wiggle" to it, but is not in danger of falling off, and when hanging on the wall it doesn't sag. There are 3 slots(maybe for toothbrushes? The"G" looks like hand bead-work ... moreover needlepoint. I am no expert, so take a close look at the pics and judge for yourself. There are 9, kind of larger, pointy/stud/nails across the front, which I am assuming is not only for decoration, but to hold the fabric edge down. The edge has more bead-work. There isn't really a pattern so hard to tell if any beads are missing. I never saw anything like it before and have never seen anything like it since. This cast iron toilet paper holder is in very good condition. There is minor surface rust. Minor enough to just leave as is. The backplate reads: The Unique A.P.W. Paper Co Albany N.Y. The back is marked Sept. 26- 1893 49. It has a great patina from age and is a heavy piece made from thick iron. one arm has a button on the side that when pushed it releases the hook allowing the arm to pivot on its hinge this is to change the rolls of toilet paper. The lettering is done in an ornate Victorian font and is very heavily embossed. This toilet paper holder came out of a 100+ year old house. The open scroll work would be a nice accent to a bathroom restoration decor. The nickel finish is worn down to the brass in some areas which gives it enhanced character. The wooden spool is not original. 6 1/4" wide- 3 1/2" tall- 2 3/4" deep. Antique Victorian Bathroom Wall Mount Cup Or Shaving Mug Holder
This is a great looking antique Victorian bathroom wall mounted cup or shaving mug holder. It probably dates circa 1890 to 1910. It protrudes from the wall 7 1/2 inches(19 cm) The mount piece that attaches to the wall measures 2 1/4 inches across(5.7 cm) It will fit a shaving mug or cup with a 3 1/2 inch base across(8.9 cm) Each of the four individual standing pieces measures 2 1/2 inches high(6.4 cm) I'm not exactly sure what it's made of. It's not iron because a magnet won't stick to it. It's copper colored. So it's probably either copper or a copper wash over spelter. The entire piece can move side to side when attached to the wall. The cup section turns. It has a very old hairline crack measuring approximately 1/2 inch(1.27 cm) long where one of the four stands meets the base(please see photo) However. It's ... morestill very sturdy and will unlikely break any further. It's developed a beautiful old world patina. It weighs a touch over 1 pound(458 g)

Victorian Cup / Glass Holder for the Bathroom - Unusual and Quite Lovely
This unusual Victorian cup holder is one we've never seen before. It's quite solid and in great condition with no breaks or cracks. No repairs or dings. It has a brass or gold wash that's worn as you can see in the pictures but the base metal isn't aluminum- it's far too heavy for that. When mounted it comes 8.5" out from the wall& it's 6" across at it's widest point. Super nice for restoration purposes! See our photos.
