Antique Brasscrafters Bathroom Cup Soap Toothbrush Holder
Both pieces are marked The Brasscrafters; the cup/soap holder is also marked with“Pat. Sept. 1901” I’m not absolutely sure about the last number. The toothbrush holder does not seem to go with the soap dish/cup holder. But they are being sold together. The toothbrush holder looks almost unused, but the lower smaller tier is bent. The metal is thinner that that for the other piece and is probably solid brass. The cup holder/soap dish has heavy wear or tarnish to the brass. I don’t know if it is solid brass or plated. There are reddish areas of what looks like copper. My guess would be plate. This piece has no dents or dings. The toothbrush holder is 3 ¼” high and 3 ⅜” wide at its widest. It is from the age of claw foot tubs and porcelain sinks. The fish decoration adds a nice"whimsy" to the holder. It has achieved a nice color and feel that displays well. The brass is in original condition and has been washed with water. The cup holder over the years has a pleasing old tarnished brass color. I am unsure the exact age of the holder but a good safe guess would be in the early 1900's give or take some years in either dirrection. It doesn't get this tarnished overnight. This classic bathroom fixture has the mounting bracket and is fully functional, clean and polished, and in excellent condition with some minor scratches in the bottom of the soap dish. It measures 7 1/2" tall with a 4 7/8" by 3 5/8" by 1" soap dish and the cup holder is 2 3/4" diameter at the top, 1 3/4" tall and the total weight is 11 1/2 ozs. As always. My grandparents removed them from the Wright home and used them in their own home for years in the bathroom. When my grandparents moved from their home my mother took these items for her home. Antique porcelain enamel bathroom WHITE cup & toothbrush holder soap dish hook
Wonderful antique bathroom set from the early 1900s! These are in very good to excellent condition. I would say, considering their age. The white enameled porcelain over cast iron is still shiny white, with no discoloration or staining. There are no chips or broken pieces but a few small nicks down to the iron, mostly in places you don't see, such as around the screw holes. I have spent hours searching for pictures in other places of these pieces; the robe hook is typical, but I have never found this exact soap dish and toothbrush holder design. I did find only one photo of the cup holder at an antique site. To the best of my ability I will try to accurately describe each piece of this fine set: Cup holder- 4" tall. 4 1/4" deep(from the wall) 3 1/4" cup circumference. Underside has a 3/8" nick to the iron and some ... morelight gray scratches Toothbrush holder- 7" long. 2 1/4" deep. Has one tiny nick to the top rim. The second hole from the right has an indentation that looks like a chip, but it does not feel rough or sharp, neither looks like a chip under magnification. Soap dish- 4 3/4" wide. 5" deep. The glaze has worn off on the top surface, probably because of contact with soap, I would suppose. It feels rough. Some small, short, faint gray scratches on the rim. Notice in the photo the hairline fracture on the top and on the underside, where you can see a bit of rust. It looks like a fracture clean-through, but there is no"give" when you apply pressure. Robe hook- 2 1/2" tall. 2 1/4" deep. Has a visible nick to the iron on the top mount rim, three tiny rust specks, and a very small gray scratch. These pieces are in such nice condition that I actually mounted them into drywall for a time in our old farmhouse bathroom just for"looks. took them down when we moved, and they have been in storage since. My mother, who is 82, said these came out of the house her grandmother lived in before she was born. Please check my other listings for more family antiq

Soap dish has its try or strainer, the cup holder will hold cup with a bottom no larger than 2 1/2" The tooth brush holder will work with the flat handled tooth brushes or the thinner handled modern tooth brushes as shown in the pictures. This is an Excellent vintage bathroom Piece. It has very nice patina. And I have wiped it clean, but leave the rest to the buyer. A very nice brass cup holder, toothbrush and soap dish, with the removable tray. It has deffinet signs of use, and the cup holder is missing the nut to tighten it down. I could put one on, but they buyer may want his own, and I have no old one. It appears to have some cracks in the cup holder, but they almost look like they were made that way. I can't be sure. Here's a Victorian bathroom set consisting of a metal cup holder and a rare two toothbrush holder. Both items were taken from an older home when owners decided to retile the bathroom. Holders will need cleaning. they are in"as found" condition. No mounting hardware included. The sconce style metal cup holder measures 7.5" tall and the cup holder will fit a cup up to 3" in diameter. It is unmarked. The toothbrush holder has a neat stamped trademark on the back(see picture#4) The toothbrush holder measures 2.75" by 1" and will only hold two toothbrushes. They measure 4 1/2" tall overall. Condition is good: normal aging and wear. Vintage Deco Era Bathroom Set Wall Mount Soap Holder and Cup Holder White I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! Here's an original vintage deco era bathroom pair for you! It's a wall mount soap dish and a wall mount cup holder. Both are made of heavy steel or iron and have a white coating(is it porcelain? I think may be. But I do not know for sure) The white coating is in good but slightly shabby condition giving them a lightly primitive ... moreflair. You can see chips to the coating on the neck of the cup holder, a dull patina in most spots all over both(with some pockes of shiny showing in the hardly touched areas- like the front of the wall mounts) and the soap dish shows a lot of wear to the coating on the underside- where you can see it's chipped and worn down to the metal, and there's surface rust there that can be seen. This is on the underside only, though- not on the top at all that I can see. There's light surface rust that can be seen on the wear spots discussed above to the cupholder's neck, too- very light. Both pieces are in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition- totally usable, with both having two screw mount holes for mounting on the wall. The white is pretty white, but you can see grey spots and brown spots too all over- I do not know if they will clean up- I have not tried to clean in any way. Regardless, both really do look nice for an old used set. The soap dish measures 5" by 4" by about 1" deep at the dish and it is 5" from the back of the mounting plate to the front of the dish.
