GENERAL NOTES: I just bought out the inventory of a plumbing store that had belonged to one plumber or another in Lincoln Nebraska since the 50s. It was FULL of antique toilets of all kinds. Over a thousand lids, old hardware, handles, all kinds of things. I'm going to be listing it slowly for probably a year or more. So check back if you're into antique plumbing stuff! Here we have one of the three Case kidney tank one-piece toilets I got. See my other auctions for the other two. THIS one does NOT have the side lever in place(see my other auctions for one that does) The toilet is in generally good shape I think. No cracks or chips I could see. It does have mineralization in the bowl. A lot of wax residue around the edge of the base. You'll need to do some additional cleaning on this toilet- I don't have the washdown facilities ... morein this warehouse to handle lots of water and chemicals, so all I can really do with these old toilets is spritz them down with cleaner and wipe off the dust and easy dirt from probably half a century AT LEAST of basement storage. PLEASE be sure you know what you're getting into with these old case toilets. The parts are very expensive, when you can find them. I DO also have the kidney lid for sale separately. The lids are more contemporary castings from the 60s or 70s. As mentioned below, these toilets are a freight item. I will build a crate for this toilet, and the crate will be lined with 1.5" beadboard styrofoam planks. These toilets aren't really very profitable for me given the work they take to make presentable- I have a soft spot for arhictectural antiques and I'd hate to toss these in the dumpster. So REST ASSURED your toilet will be well protected for shipping. I would of course be more than willing to arrange local pickup. Vintage / Antique Oak Wood Toilet Tank & Oak Lid – Wall Mount – Parts or Restore
Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Offered for sale is: OAK TOILET TANK& LIDS– No Liner It measures approx. 22-1/4” wide at the top and approx. 21.5” wide at the bottom. The depth is approx. 7-1/4” at the sides and it measures approx. 15-1/4” high. The detached solid oak top lid measures ¾” thick and the attached solid oak bottom is 1-1/8” thick. The solid oak tank sides are a little over ¾” thick. Refinished and Repaired 30 years ago The detached oak top and attached oak bottom of the toilet tank are antique but my Dad replaced the rounded front corners. Inside tank supports, and the front panels about 30 years ago. He either replaced or re-planed the 3/4" thick side boards. He refinished it at that time with a medium brown stain. My Dad always used several coats of polyurethane as a finishing sealer. The finish is very ... moresmooth not rough. This tank is the wall mount style. He did not attach the top oak lid in case I wanted to use it on a modern porcelain toilet tank instead of the modern porcelain tank lid(see photo) This is a great display item or you could restore it to working condition if desired. Reproductions are still made and parts should be available. The poly finish has some light scratches. The detached antique oak top lid has a protruding corner, and the attached antique oak bottom has a small marred area on the front left side and the curved side edges have some old age splits– see pictures for condition. 1928 Antique Case "Kidney-Bean" Toilet Vintage
This 1928 Case"kidney-bean" toilet was removed from its(original installation) last year during a remodel. The toilet has its original tank-lid. The toilet has its original"whale-tail" handle. The toilet needs a new ballcock system. Original was removed by an inexperienced"plumber" while I was out of town. The toilet has its original flush-valve which works well. The toilet has a hairline crack at 2oclock to the right of the seat.this happened in the 60s when a glass bottle of Lysol was dropped. This crack has been stabilized with the same adhesive used to stop cracks in windshields. There is no leak and the hairline crack has not enlarged over 40 years. These toilets are rare. Antique vintage nickel brass toilet paper holder complete wooden roller & screws
This was still hanging in our 1897 farmhouse when we bought it 2 years ago. As found condition with good shine to the black painted roller. The nickel/brass roller end cap, and the roller holder. There are a couple tiny original green paint spots on the upper left end of the wall bracket, and white paint on the bracket, roller end cap and roll bar. I know the green is the original color because the claw foot tub in this bath was originally painted this color green with the white over it. The wall bracket and top of the roller holder have discoloration from age, but give the appearance that they could clean to a shine as well. The end cap was designed to be held to the wooden roller with a tiny tack that kept the roller in place while changing the roll. If re-tacked together the cap will fit perfectly on the end. In very small letters inside ... morean oval on the bracket are the letters"SMCo" with the o inside the C. Screws included are the ones by which it hung. US shipping only. This is an antique wall-mount toilet tank removed from a grand 1915 home in excellent working condition. The maker's mark on the back of the wall mount tank appears in the photos. There is one small cured'chip' more like a wear spot) on the top of the tank that is fully covered by the tank cover(see first photo) The tank has a brass and ceramic flush knob lever. It appears to have all of its original parts, it is untested so we do not know if every thing functions. There are a few scratches and scuff marks, but no cracks, chips, or breaks.
