Antique Empire Faucet cold porcelain handle
I'm no plumber so am uncertain about this metal. No rust so probably nickle over brass? Clearly marked Empire which is probably the manufacturer. 4 3/4 deep to end of faucet. 3 1/2" tall to top of handle straight down to bottom of faucet. the porcelain handle is 3 3/8" long. Most of the chrome has come off revealing the brass. Please ask questions if I am not describing this well. I have 4 of these odd faucets and will be listing each one in case you are looking for a specific type.

Vintage faucet with porcelain knob 'cold' Wolverine
Hello. Up for bid is a vintage faucet with porcelain handle. The faucet is in very worn. Used condition with some loss of chrome as seen in the pics below. The porcelain handle is in excellent condition. On the stem of the handle is the word'Wolverine' and their logo. Under the nut below the handle is what looks like the word'Laurel' but it is hard to make out. The Porcelain handle by itself measures approx. 2 1/2" x 3" and could always be removed to be used in an altered art project or to make into a coat hook. The overall length of the faucet is approx. 6 3/4" from the spout tip to the back of the faucet is about 4 1/4" and there is a 3/4" OD threaded pipe at the bottom. There is a lot of rust/encrustation at the juncture of the threaded pipe and the faucet.I do not know if this faucet is functional ... moreor not.may need new washers or other repairs to make it functional. Antique Vintage American Standard Tub Faucet with Spout 1920's
Here is a nice old'Standar d' tub valve and spout. This was removed from a 19 20's-era home. The handles appear to be replacements(probably 1940's or so) The ori ginals would have been porcelain cross-handle pieces. The spout has a porcelain escutcheon and a trim ring with set screw that keeps it tight to the wall. The finish on the spout. And original trim are more like a nickel color, while the finish on the handles is more like a bright chrome. All of the porcelain pieces are in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There are a few small spots of discoloration but overall they are very nice. The handles have scratched/gouged caps. But they are fairly clean with good shine. They are cast zinc. Both stems open and close freely. The stems and escutcheon ferrules are slightly scuffed with spots of missing plating, see photos ... morefor condition. The spout has mis sing plating all over. As well as some gouges and scratches here and there. The brass nipple will remain in the spout. I' ll leave the choice of removing it up to yo u. All of the shiny bits on this faucet would benefit from a re-plate. But you could certainly use as is if you don't mind lots of patina! The original cast iron mou nting bracket i s included. The set will be broken down into components for shipment. Dimensions are: Hot/cold knobs are 11" apart on-center Escutcheons are 3 1/4" diameter where they meet the wall Hot/cold knobs are approx. 2 5/ 8" across Spout is approx. 5" long overall Spout escutcheon is 3 1/4" diameter Inlets are 1/2" NPT female Thanks for looking. This faucet sat in the original box from the manufacturer on the shelves of a local plumbing company which closed the doors over 75 years ago. The faucet is marked United with no other stamps or markings anywhere. It is 1/2 inch threaded and made entirely of brass. The box is not included in the sale and you are bidding on one faucet. As you can see it is in beautiful condition for it's age as it was protected in the box for all those years. The finish is bright and beautiful with only a few hazy spots on it which are hard to see in the pictures. Only a few small hairline cracks on the back next to the nickel plated brass mount, the nickel plating is in great condition also. The Lettering on the handles is excellant. The handles are 3 1/4" across and stand 2" tall. The inside of the mounts are 3/8" square with a tapered hole for a set screw in the shaft. From the top of handles of bottom of attachment it also measures 6 inches. It has a beautiful classic style from the early 1900s. The spigot was made by Standard and has the name on the middle section. It appears to be in good condition. It is missing the white porcelain top on one of handles and has some minor marks and scratches. We did not attempt to clean or polish. Please take a good close look at the pictures. You will see only very minor pitting if any but you will see where a wrench has been used on it and scared it.
