Antique?/Vintage Pair Double Arm 8" GLASS CANDELABRA CANDLE HOLDERS Prism/Spears
Pair of Glass Double Arm Candelabras 8 1/2" inches tall x 7" inches wide With Removable Bobeche Rings Bobeche Rings w/8 Octagon Prisms& 3" Spears Beautiful and Elegant Awesome Condition! This candelabra set is in very nice condition without any chips or cracks on the candle holders or bobeches. I did notice maybe a tiny chip or two on the spears. It has all of the original spears but not the octagon prisms. Two of the replaced octagon prisms I think might be crystal. Have newer wire hooks, and one prism is missing. I was able to hang the one spear with the missing prism on so you don't really notice that anything is missing. There is etching on the base of the candelabras. I don't know how old or their maker. They were picked up at an estate sale. I believe all of the pieces are glass and not crystal even though ... moreit is about as showy and sparkly as crystal. I'm not seeing the rainbow colors, nor hearing the higher ting of the spears. I hope that is helpful in determining why I think it is glass. Up for auction are a pair of hinged brass double arm wall sconce candle holders. I think they would clean up pretty good if a person put in the time to clean them. There is a lot of potential as they appear to be in good condition but just need to be cleaned to bring out their beauty. They extend approx. 9" out from wall when mounted. There is a number on the bottom of each sconce. I do not know what the number means but one is marked with the number 22 and the other is marked with the number 39 or 89(it is hard to tell if it is a 3 or an 8) Insurance is included in your shipping cost. They are numbered on bottom 269 R, they are absolutely beautiful with colors of blues,slight hint of pale yellow on flowers, green stems. These pieces came out of an estate, they did wash up beautifully however I have noticed a chip on 1 of them up near where the candle is placed into it, the color has chipped off, in the picture it is greatly magnified& NOT that big, but I do want to mention it, it does by no means take any of the beauty away from these pieces, there are no other issues I see with the other candlestick. Vintage Pair Green Camark Double Candle Holders
Vintage Pair Green Camark Double Candle Holders. Each measures. At greatest distances, approximately 5 1/4" high, 5 3/4" wide, 3" deep(at base) Anyone familiar with the glazing on this type of pottery knows there are often irregularities in the glaze when the pottery is produced. Such is the case with these two candle holders. There is a crack on the rim of one of the holders with glaze over it that had to come from the factory like that(see candle holder on right in photo#2) You see two cracks going to the rim to an area of dark green on top of the rim. The longest crack and the area of dark green on top of the rim are smooth due to glaze covering them. The shorter crack has a raised area that can be felt despite the glaze although it is obvious it came from the factory like this. There is a sharp point on the rim of another ... moreholder due to an irregularity in the glaze as well as a couple more places on another holder where the glaze is not perfect. Of the four holders in these two double candle holders, the glaze on the rims of them is flawless in only one holder. There are separate photos of the rims of each holder(see photos#7, 8, 10, 11) Overall, in good condition for their age. Twelve ounce Pepsi can is for size comparison only and is not included. Each candle holder holds 2 candles. They each measure approx. 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" tall. Both are marked"Weller Pottery since 1872" on the bottom. Along with the number 15. Both candle holders are in very good vintage condition. There are a few areas of imperfections/discoloration in the pottery and crazing. There is a small surface chip along the rim of one of the holders. There are 2 stress cracks inside the actual candle holders. The base of the holders do have some shelf wear. Indiana Glass Garland Pattern #301 Double Candle Holders-Multi-Color Fruit
Indiana Glass Garland Pattern#301 Double Candle Holders- Multi-Color Fruit- in Excellent Condition. This is a really great pattern that was manufactured by the Indiana Glass Company from the post depression years up to the 60's. We believe this set of holders to be from the original years made due to the large manufacturing bubble we found on one of the holders on the rim at the top. This was not an unusual occurence in the manufacturing process at that time. Also the color of this set is much richer and darker in color as it was in the depression years. These double candle holders are astonishingly beautiful. They are made of a heavy glass both weighing in at about 3 1/2 pounds. They measure in at 5 1/2 inches tall with a large base diameter of 5 1/8 inches. The interior diameter for holding candles is 3/4 of an inch which then fan out ... moreto 2 inches in diameter for each holder. This pattern sometimes gets confused with the Della Robia pattern. But it is not. If it has bananas in it, then it is the Garland pattern# 301. That's how I was told to distinguish the difference. These candle holders make for a beautiful centerpiece on anyone's table. There are no nicks. Flea bites, or chips anywhere on this piece. It is in absolutely beautiful condition. This is a very pretty pair of glass double candle holders with the vintage Iris and Herringbone pattern. They both have a marigold iridescent finish. They are both in good condition. One candle holder has some chips on the cup holder which I tried to photograph. The iridescent finish shows some wear. They are not an exact match. One is a little darker than the other and one is more upright than the other. They are still stunning after all of these years! They measure 5 1/2" tall and 6 1/8" wide. Keyhole design with a floral scroll pattern. They are in good condition with a 1 1/2" area on the bottom of one of the candle holders. I am not sure if it is a scratch or a manufacture defect(see last photo) It is difficult to see when the item is on display. Otherwise there are no chips. Cracks or repairs.
