This is a GORGEOUS set of RARE antique porcelain figural candle holders! They are dressed in French attire. BEAUTIFUL FACES! The lady is wearing blue/green gloves and is in an ELEGANT low cut dress with matching blue/green design. She has gold plate trim and her shoes are also gold plate. The gentleman is wearing a ruffled shirt and his pants and jacket have the same pattern as the lady's dress. His long jacket has the blue/green cuffs. And inside is blue/green too. He is wearing blue/green shoes. They both have the BEAUTIFUL ROSEBUD LIPS! Lots of GOLD PLATE trim all over. Nothing identifiable on base. BEAUTIFULLY MADE! They both measure 7 1/4" tall. 4" wide, by 2" deep. They are in really good condition with no cracks or chips and the man has a few places that are missing a very small amount of paint on his collar and ... moreon the jacket inside there are three small areas with paint missing. Offered is a antique Bavaria Waldershof Germany porcelain and brass night candle holder. The holder and handle are made of solid brass. The handle has a sculptured leaf on it. The base of the holder has cork under it so as not to scratch the plate. The plate is porcelain china accented with 22k gold and pictures of a colonial couple courting. Underneath the plate is a crown with Bavaria Waldershof Made in Germany and the number 82 also in 22k gold. The center of plate underneath also has the Bavaria Waldershof Germany logo and the word INGEBORG in light green lettering. Completely free of chips and no paint flaking. HOWEVER. I need to include this so you know what you are getting. In pic 7. I marked on the picture an A and B. Those are on the pic and not on the item. There is a very fine short hairline crack at both spots. It is very hard ... moreto see and I did not notice it until I had it in bright light. It does not go to the edge of the plate and is about 1/4 in long. It does not effect the value of the item. The plate is about 6 inch across and the holder is 2.25 inch tall. This tin glazed French Faience chamber type candle holder is a rare form in early French Faience.This example is extremely colorful and eye appealing. The fan shaped saucer measures about 6 x 7"and the predominate colors are an avocado green. Blue, bright yellow and orange. I am unfamiliar with the mark but the close up shows it well. The piece is in remarkably fine condition with only a few very tiny glaze flakes( hardly noticeable) on the outer rim.This piece likely dates in the early to mid 1800s. and is guaranteed to date well before 1860.

Antique Blue And White Stoneware Candle Holders 1890's Pottery crock RARE DG83
Here's a rare pair of blue and white stoneware candleholders. If you collect old milk pitchers and rare blue stoneware this is for you. These were probably a premium in an old sack of flower back in the 1880's or 90's. One of them has a small ship at the vase and there's a glue repair. These show really well in spite of it. Would look great up on a shelf with your other old stoneware and who else would have a pair? First ones we've ever seen! They measure 6" tall and the bases are 3 1/4" wide. One of our photos shows them as a really bright blue. This is not correct. They are the old soft blue just like on the old blue and white pitchers and crocks.
