Antique Dresden Lace Bisque Figural Candle Holders Pair
This pair of porcelain bisque candle holders have some porcelain/dresden lace as a blue garment on the figures. One candle holder has the arm broke off the figure but it is right at the shoulder and just at the lace so it might be an easy fix. I do not see any other damage on either candle holder other than the arm issue. Under the base there is a pottery crack that is original to the piece and does not go to the outside of the candle holder. Candle holders measure approx 7 1/2"x 6" wide. Pay Pal only accepted. Vintage Plaster Classic Italian Styled Figural Pillar Candle Holders Cherubs
Estate sale purchase. These are really nice large pieces. Measuring 21.5" tall and 9" at the base. Each weighs approximately 6 lbs, 10 oz. They are substantial. The base is decorated with lion heads surrounding an artichoke shape on-top of which sits a female nude with cherubs at her feet and shoulders. These are plaster molds as indicated in one photo of the base interior. The finish is faux painted to give the appearance of old worn painted worn wood. Offered in this sale is a pair of antique German porcelain figural candle holders that were made by Sitzendorf in Germany in the early 1900s. They measures roughly 12" tall x 6 7/8" in diameter at their widest across the base. They are both marked on the underside of the base with a blue crossed lines mark and are also each impressed with the number 182. The condition is very good. There is minor loss to the tips of many of the very delicate flower petals which is often the case with these early foliate pieces. Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration. Be sure to enlarge and magnify each image for a close up view of the detail and condition.
