Offered for your collecting pleasure is this beautiful antique porcelain candle holder or chamber stick. There are no white ware marks or even the name of the country of origin so it was made between the early 1800's and 1890. After that they had to put at least the name of the country of origin. With the lovely moulding. Scalloped shape and loop handle this looks to be an unmarked Limoges blank that was hand painted. This was very popular during the Victorian era to beautify your home. It is decorated with beautiful pink flowers and green leaves on a multiple colored pastel background. The edges of the fluted candle holder. The quality of the porcelain is very good and the putti have angelical expressions similar to the high-quality porcelain figures from famous studios in Germany and France. It bears the makers mark that dates this piece to have been made between 1891-1896. It also bears the Bawo& Dotter Elite red overglaze decorating mark that dates the decoration to have been done between 1891-1900. It features a lovely scalloped edge with handle. It is decorated with pink. Blue and green flower transfers. The edge of the rim and the skirt of the candle are painted in gold. It measures 6 inches wide and stands 2.75 inches tall. Unique! For auction today we have one antique/very vintage hand painted redware pottery candlestick. Distinctly art deco. This figural candlestick features a kneeling nude male with a scrap of a blue cloth covering him. He looks down, his arms are up at his head with hands behind his neck. He balances the small candleholder on his head. Primary color here is blue. This piece is as is- with a repair to the candle slot portion as pictured. There is also a break at the lower back of the male, also as pictured. This piece measures 6.5 inches tall and has a base of 3 x 2 inches. Antique Hand Painted Cloisonne Chinese Candle Holder
This is an intricately designed and painted hand crafted Candle stick holder which looks to me to be made in an Indian or Asian style.The painted squares on the ceramic portion of the item are of tiny 1/8th inch squares. This stunning pair of antique white porcelain. Heavy gold guilt, hand painted floral motif chamber candle holders/sticks are in beautiful condition, void of cracks or chips. Both are individually marked"G 537" by hand in red paint and have a bright silver decal which once held the name of the maker. These pieces resemble Dresden, Limoges, Nippon, or French Sevres porcelain and have very fine hand painted(overglaze) flowers with beautiful heavy gold guilt work. The measurements of each holder are 6" long(across top) by 4 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" tall. One holder has a weight of 6.25 oz and the other 6.30 oz. This is a gorgeous pair. Antique 4 light Candelabra ornate scrolling metal with hand painted porcelain
In good condition. No broken off pieces or nicks, porcelain has crazing. Can't tell if metal is brass or pot metal, or a combination. Bottom metal piece shows mold lines. I believe the 3 side arms may be twisted a little or it could have been the design. An extremely ornate piece. Measures 13 1/8" tall. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unlesss item is not as described. This is an older item and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made.
