Offered is a cast iron valve wheel of the type used for operation large valves in industrial uses. It has no maker's marks so I can't date it. But it likely dates to the last part of the 20th century. The wheel is 11-3/4 inches across and weighs over 10 pounds. It measures 1 inch thick at the outer rim and 1-3/16 inches at the hub. The hex hole is about 1-9/16 inches across. It is marked"OPEN. SHUT, T" and"4.It had a little paint loss and subsequent corrosion which I brushed off. It is clean, dry and waxed. It looks pretty good as it is, or is ready for paint if you prefer. I've posted lots of pictures so you can look it over. Winner pays for USPS Priority in the USA. Notes: It is made by J.L Howard& Co. of Hartford CT. They are still in business today. And manufacture hardware for railroad companies. The valve is spring loaded, and it is opened by lifting the handle on top. Size: It is 3 inches from the end of the threaded opening to the tip of the spout. It is 2 7/8 inches tall from the top of the handle to the bottom of the spout. The outside diameter of the threaded opening is 5/8 inches round. And the inside diameter is 3/8 inches round. Condition: Used condition- has scratches. Dings, discoloration, nickle-plate loss, and the rubber gasket is deteriorating. Up for auction we have this cool antique. What I believe is a water pressure gauge, manufactured by the" Marshalltown,Iowa MFG.INC. U.S.A. The gauge measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter and measures 1 1/8 inches in thickness. As you can see from the photos this gauge has rust around the once chromed rim.The glass on the gauge is in very nice shape, no cracks or chips! A great piece to repurpose! They measure from left to right in photo#1. 2" in diameter, 2.75" in diameter, 3" in diameter and about.75" thick. They have from the smallest a 1/4" square center to the other two having 3/8" square centers. They are in very good condition with no cracks or breaks noted. Please examine the photos carefully.
