Antique Vintage Marble Top Sink w/TePeCo Basin Victorian Sink
Local pickup is preferred. But I can deliver for $1/mile within 500 miles of 19007(PA) This will not be available for shipment due to it's construction, I wouldn't trust it for anything this fragile as the marble top. This will be available for pickup or delivery only. Please contact me for rates, I am about an hour from NYC/Philadelphia and a few hours from Baltimore& Washington DC. Here is a great old marble top sink. Complete with TePeCo cast porcelain basin; this style of sink was very popular in the late 1800's. There is a crack at the center hole in the marble that goes clean though. This should be reinforced prior to installation(see pics) This is finished on 3 sides. So this can be placed in the open and not necessarily in a corner. This also appeared to have brackets for support judging by the holes underneath. Though ... morethere are no support pieces included. The bowl was separated for cleaning, and all of the attachment hardware is in good shape, note that this will be broken down into components for delivery. The basin is in good shape with just a few tiny pocks in the glaze. The finish is lightly scuffed in spots from years of cleaning. But overall it's in excellent shape for being over 100 years old! The marble is fairly worn with some scratches and scuffs. Overall the marble is relatively dull, though marble can be polished(that patina is desirable to some, it's really personal taste) Please check all photos for condition. VINTAGE LATE VICTORIAN 3 ARM SOLID BRASS TOWEL RACK/HOLDER BRASSCRAFTERS? 9 pics Subject: An antique. Late Victorian, three arm, solid brass with old nickel plate towel rack/ holder. This is a very heavy, early piece which measures about 11 1/2 inches at it's longest point by 4 9/16 inches at it's highest point. The overall weight of this piece is about 2 pounds and 5 ounces. The nickel plating on this piece does appear to have some oxidation issues going on. As an after thought experiment, after I took the photos, I sprayed a small amount of orange glow on a rag, and along with some elbow grease did some cleaning on the top arm. The results were that this item retains more than 95 percent of it's nickel plating, and that most of that has a very lite surface oxidation, that would more than likely clean up very well if one used ... morea proper polish instead of orange glow. The piece does have some paint residue on the bracket, most of that being on the back of the bracket, as well as some small paint splatters but here again the proper polish would more than likely remove most of the paint. This piece is unmarked from what I can tell but it does appear to have the type of high quality one would find in one of The Brasscrafters pieces. VINTAGE LATE VICTORIAN BRASSCRAFTERS TRADE MARK TOILET PAPER ROLL HOLDER 10 pics Subject: A late Victorian antique Brasscrafters toilet paper roll holder. Solid brass with spherical brass balls/ knobs that have been soldered on the sides. And a wood roller that still retains 90+ percent of it's original black enamel paint. This piece measures about 6 3/8 inches at it's widest point by about 4 1/2 inches at it's longest point. The wooden roller is about 5 3/16 inches long, not counting the brass tips at it's ends. Many of these toilet room fixtures were nickle plated on brass, including many Brasscrafters fixtures, but this Brasscrafters toilet paper holder shows no signs of ever having had nickle plating. There is no residue of nickle plating anywhere on this item, there is a small spot of white metal on the back but this ... moreappears to be some solder that splattered on the piece, and not any sort of plating residue. The piece is marked" TRADE MARK The Brasscrafters" It has three holes for mounting. This item does show some very minor signs of age patination like small surface scratches, and minimal oxidation effect but overall it is in excellent condition considering it's 100 plus years of age. One of the brass tips, on the end of the wood roller, appears to have been slightly worn but it still works very well. This item comes with free shipping to anywhere in the United States. Measurements of entire TP Holder are 6 1/4 wide" x 4 1/2 high" x 2 1/2 deep" There are 2 supporting holes for securing to the wall. However. The mounting screws do not come with TP Holder. The BRASS Back Plate measures: 1 3/4" high x 6 1/2" wide and has heavy patina. The wooden roller is in excellent condition even through decades of use. There is a solid brass rod that inserts through the wooden roller. With two set screw knobs attached at each end. You can use either end to unscrew the knob, remove brass rod, place TP on roller, and then replace the rod and secure the screw knob. This process takes about 30 seconds. Stem spins freely and has a single rubber ring for valve seat that might need to be replaced since I did not test it. See pic. Minor wrench mark at collar. This is an original antique period faucet. Vintage Victorian Nickel-plated TOWEL BAR/RINGS, RARE
Nickel-plated brass. Circa 1900, marked S-M Co. I believe this is the mark of Standard Manufacturing, a predecessor of American Standard. 2 swiveling rings, each 4” diameter, mounted on a bone-shaped bar 1 ¾” x 5” A hook for washcloth or other item is centered on the bar. Came from a home in Frederick County MD that existed when purchased by my great-grandmother in 1910. This item shows wear that is typical for its age, meaning minor scratches and pitting are evident. Genuine period pieces like this are often priced at $300 and up in a retail store, if you’re lucky enough to find them.
