vintage antique toilet KOHLER 1950 one-piece PLACID K3600 VERY clean!
GENERAL NOTES: I just bought out the inventory of a plumbing store that had belonged to one plumber or another in Lincoln Nebraska since the 50s. It was FULL of antique toilets of all kinds. Over a thousand lids, old hardware, handles, all kinds of things. I'm going to be listing it slowly for probably a year or more. So check back if you're into antique plumbing stuff! Here we have an antique Kohler PLACID one-piece toilet. This one was on their show floor. And they must have done a VERY good job cleaning it, because even the inside of the tank is sparkling. The tank hardware was either removed during cleaning, or maybe scavenged from another toilet, because it shows use. My warehouse does not even have a floor drain, so I don't really have the ability to test these old toilets, so it's sold as-is, and maybe need some work ... morefor all I know. Lid is dated 1950. Antique Vintage Kohler Tub/Shower Controls With Spout 1960's
Here is a nice Kohler tub/shower control valve and spout with shower pop-up. This was removed from a 1960's-era bathroom. The valve body is a pass-through design. So you could add another valve set above it in series for a separate shower control or simply block it off. On this particular set, they had short sections of capped pipe to act as hammer arrestors. The shower head trim escutcheon is also included which matches the set, the opening is 3/4" diameter(see final pic) All trim pieces are in nice shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing too bad(see pics) There are light scuffs on the knob faces and some jaw marks on the adjustable trim sleeves(see pics) Once installed, the marks on the sleeves should not be seen. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And some large wrench marks on it from removal(see ... morepics) There are also some mineral deposits on the underside of the spout around the opening. Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers and packing before use. The inlets are 1/2" copper sweat connections, and the spout nipples are still installed(see pics) The set will be broken down into components for shipment. Dimensions are: Hot/cold knobs are 8" apart on-center Escutcheons are 2 1/2" diameter where they meet the wall Hot/cold knobs are approx. 2 1/4" in diameter The spout is 5 1/4" long and is 2 1/2" in diameter where it meets the wall The shower head supply pipe escutcheon is 2 1/4" in diameter Thanks for looking. Antique Vintage Kohler Sink Drain/Tailpiece Assembly 1960's
Here is a nice Kohler sink drain/tailpiece assembly that was removed from a sink that dated from 1960. I've seen this same design in 1950's-era Kohler sinks as well. With the twist-and-remove stopper. The plating is in very good shape. Especially on the tailpiece. There is light pitting and wear/scuffs on the drain flange and stopper(see pics) It operates as it should. And gets joined to a pop-up control rod via a set screw(see pic 6) The original Kohler waste pipe(17 gauge) is there as well. With a bit of corrosion but certainly reusable. Antique Vintage Kohler Bath Tub Drain Overflow Assembly 1960's
Here is a nice Kohler tub waste drain/overflow assembly that dates from 1960. This was removed from a Kohler tub that dated from 1960. Also available! All of the chrome is in good shape, and it operates as it should. On the overflow plate and drain stopper. The re are light scuffs on the chrome that is most likely from a slightly abrasive cleaner(see pics) There is very light pitting on the drain trim as well. But overall the pieces are in very n ice shape. Antique Vintage Kohler Bathroom Sink Shelfback Faucet Set 1950's
This faucet set was removed from a Kohler shelfback sink. The sink was beyond saving so this was removed. It includes the drain/pop-up assembly as well. This type of faucet set would be found on Kohler sinks from the 1950's and 60's, typically cast iron sinks. All of the faucet trim pieces are in good shape. With a few nicks/scratches/pitting here and there but nothing terrible(see pics) The spout is also in good shape with a few small nicks, and the pop-up rod moves freely and operates properly. The pop-up assembly's plating is also in very nice shape with great original shine. The drain trim piece and stopper are also in nice shape. Check photos for condition. Antique Vintage Kohler blue Bathroom Sink W/original hardware& Towel Bars 1930s. Sink porcelain over cast iron. This sink is marked Kohler USA on bottom. Also marked K-1975. 24 x 20 8110-3 9. The towel bars are marked Kohler USA and the knobs and drain are marked Kohler USA. I contacted Kohler and was told it is a Jamestown sink from the late 1930's, making it at least 75 years old. It is a wall mount style. This sink Measures 24 x 20 according to the factory, and I measure it as 4 inches tall. The hot and cold knobs turn and there is a small extra faucet on the side which needs a knob. Since that knob is missing I am not sure if extra faucet is original Kohler knob or not. I assume it was for filtered water. It appears to be plumbed for that on underside. The sink itself is in very good condition. There are no cracks or majors chips, ... morejust some tiny little dings, see photos. A 70 year old sink will have some porcelain wear, but this does not have a lot, there is minor surface scratching and I have tried to photo any wear. Drain is tight and sink basin does hold water. Drain plug needs to be attached, and I believe the piece is there on underside to do it, but I don't know how to do it. There is one hairline crack on underside of sink. It is not on the sink basin itself but on underside of basin lip by underside pipe. It appears cosmetic only, and is not visible from above. Chrome underside pipe is also marked Kohler. see photos. I have seen a picture of this sink attached to the wall. With a pedestal underneath, so I believe it can be pedestal style. But since it is very heavy, I can see why is should be wall mounted with pedestal as cosmetic. I do not have the hardware to mount this. All hardware and plumbing you see in photo comes with this. Faucets and knobs and drain all included. Faucet and knobs are very solid on sink. The extra small faucet had a washer that came off. Extra faucet on side was solid. Here is a Kohler corner tu from the 1920's. It is white with a left-hand drain. The enamel is in decent shape. With some wear and scuffs on the horizontal surfaces& edges. There are a few small chips in the enamel as well, the largest is shown with a dime for reference. There is also a very faint rust-colored stain on the floor of the tub. Check all photos for condition. The ... moredrain hole has some rust showing. Antique Vintage Kohler Sink Faucets & Stopper Trim Pieces 1920's
Here is a lot of old'Kohler' hot& cold faucets(2 hot& 1 cold) that were removed from sinks that dated from the 1920's. The plating is worn on all of them. And there are some wrench jaw marks on them as well. They take some effort to open and close, so I would recommend replacing the seats and packing prior to use. The mounting nuts and washers are included as well. There are some mineral deposits on them and areas of the plating is pitted. A pair of brass chain holders are also included. Vintage Bib Apron Kohler Cast Iron FARMHOUSE Kitchen Sink Unique Mint Green
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Rare original antique/vintage porcelain over cast iron jadeite or mint GREEN Kohler Farmhouse bib-style kitchen sink with drainboard. Also back-mount faucet. And two Standard mounting brackets are included in the purchase price. CONDITION: Sink: Good vintage condition. No major chips or cracks in the porcelain. Minor chips due appear at various areas at the bottom of the sink. But are very small and only add to the authenticity of this great sink. Some light rust stains DO APPEAR on the drainboard. and the buyer may want to add an additional clear coat to the sink to increase the gloss of the sink. From years of use. The luster of the sink has dulled slightly and an added clear coat wold further help protect the sink from additional dulling and chipping. Faucet: The back-mount faucet is in good vintage/working condition ... moreand fits the sink fine. However the round flange plate pieces which cover the extra space between the faucet and the sink holes have been lost and ARE NOT included with the sink, but can be purchased at any hardware store. Some scratches in the top chrome coating are present. Also the internal pieces of the aerator ARE ABSENT. But are also available for purchase at your local hardware store as is standard procedure when buying a used sink. Mounting Brackets: The Standard mounting brackets are the same size and both manufactured by Standard Plumbing. But DO NOT match. Although they function almost exactly the same, each bracket if from a different era. When they are placed one on top of the other, the mounting hole do match up, however one bracket has more mounting holes than the other. This however doesn't affect the functionality of the brackets. Also some very minor surface rust do appear on the brackets, but is easily cleaned and has not affected the strength of the cast iron. Additional Parts. Pieces, Hardware: Besides the brackets. Antique Vintage Kohler Single Handle Shower Valve Faucet Shower Controls 1950's
Here is a nice Kohler single-handle shower valve that was removed from a 1950's-era bathroom. It is in good shape overall. And the handle moves properly from opened to closed. The plating is in good shape, with a small nick at the top of the main cover and some light scuffing from years of cleaning. The handle is in good shape as well, please check all photos for condition. The valve body has a little bit of mortar on it. But nothing that should interfere with installation. No leaks were evident, but a rebuild may be prudent prior to installation based on the age. Dimensions: main cover/escutcheon is 4 3/16" diameter-design allows for approx. 1" of variation in mounting depth-handle is approx. 3 1/2" long-inlets and outlet are all 1/2" NPT Thanks for looking.
