Antique Vintage Crane 'Kitchen Pride' Cast Iron Farmhouse Sink 1930's 1940's

Here is a nice old Crane' Kitchen Pride' kitchen sink that dates from the 1930's-40's. Usually these are stamped with the date of manufacture. But this o ne isn't; the age is indicated by the faucet set which is pre-1950's. The name' Ashford' is stamped on the bottom as well as behin d the spout. So I'm thinking that this is the foundry where it was cast? This was mounted on a metal cabinet originally, but the cabinet was so hacked up and rusted that it was beyond saving. This is heavy cast iron with a porcelain coating. Somewhere in the 200-250 po und range. ... moreIt appears that one of the basin s was used much more than the other(the shallow side saw the most use) As one is like-new and the other has some faint staining and a good deal of scuffs/scratches. The shallow side's basin floor'gloss' has been worn so that it is flat to the touch. There is a bit o f rust that shows o n the underside around the shallow side's drain. But it doesn't appear to have transferred up to the top as it doesn't show in the basin. See p hotos for condition. The faucet set is almost complete. The only thing missing is the o ne of the fa ucet hand le screws. Also. There is a brass nut that holds the valve body to the s pout that is partially stripped. I t may or may not seal properly. But I do know of a machinist who can repli cate it if need be(see final pic) The fi nish on the fauce t is in good shape. With just some light pitting and hard water stains. The edges of the sink has some spots where rust has st arted to creep under the porcelain. As well as a few small chips and scuffs/scratch es. Overall. This sink is in good condition. I have a few extra pictu res that wouldn' t fit here. So I can pass them along via ebay mes

Vintage Farmhouse Cabin Kitchen sink from 1941 - cast iron, drainboard, faucets
Up for auction is this cast iron kitchen sink with drainboard from 1941 including 3 faucets. The faucet handle to the far right is bent upwards but should be easily fixable. It does show signs of use as there are marks and some chips. These can be fixed with enamel or epoxy-based paint/resins. There are also repair kits available and the option of having the entire sink re-done with the porcelain enamel. I believe Custom Ceramic Coatings out of Illinois does this. The sink is 3' 8" long x 1' 8" wide and the basin is around 7" deep. It easily weighs over 100 lbs. This sink would be great for a home restoration or cabin getaway project. I believe the base metal is brass or bronze with a chrome finish. There appears to be some paint splatter or other dirt on each piece so a good cleaning will be needed. I did a basic wipe down with a damp cloth to get the dust off and show the potential of these great pieces. Each one measures 5 ½ inches tall; 4 ¼ inches from the tip of the faucet to the back of the stem; 2 ¾ inches across the handles; water opening of the faucet measures ½ inch by ¼ inch; threaded pipe is ¾ inch and the base that would sit on the sink is 2 inches across. Scroll down for more photos/ more views below description Cool old 1920s/30s kitchen sink faucet for restoration. Features a long spout that moves side to side. And old fashioned white glass/porcelain hot and cold lever knobs(note the"hot" one has cracks, including an internal crack area on the bottom side, and the cold has small hairlines(see photos of both) but still looks like they could be used. It measures approx. 7 inches from inside rim of each incoming water hole. This old fixture has not been tested in any way/ sold as it stands. The spout and handles do seem to move as they should. For its age, the chrome finish is pretty nice on the spout and main body, but does have some wear spots/ some pitting on the body, a small spot of missing finish on the bottom, areas around handles as shown, etc. See photos for details/ illustrative ... moreexamples. Many of the funny spots in the photos are just reflections, so be sure to compare from photo to photo. The sink will include its original painted cast iron adjustable legs and a set of wall brackets as well. The legs have been recoated as well as the bottom of the sink. This is a rare Crane"Kitchen Queen" cast iron over porcelain kitchen sink. Crane sinks of this style with the arched faucet mount area are hard to find. Finding the original Crane"Dial Eze" faucet is almost impossible. They don't make the faucets anymore. This is your chance to transform your kitchen back in time with an unusual sink with the original faucet. The sink shows some expected wear like dings(pic# 12 is an example) Some scratches, and a some spider cracks(pic# 10) that can be patched with a kit but overall a very nice sink. I believe the sink was made in 1948. The stamp mark under the sink in pic# 9(8 48) I believe it stands for the month and year manufactured August 1948. These sinks were made from the late 40s through 60s. The faucet may need a couple of new cartridges(around $15 each) and a new set of ... morewashers that can be picked up at a hardware store. I've never had the sink hooked up. If you dont have any plumbing skills, its best to hire a plumber to hook everything up and make sure everything is ok. I have taken a photo(pic#11) of the clips and where they should be installed to hold the faucet on. It would also need silicone underneath the plastic grey curved plate where the faucet attaches to the sink. Sink needs a new sprayer. It goes in the whole shown in pic#7. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Rare original antique/vintage porcelain over cast iron jadeite or mint GREEN Kohler Farmhouse bib-style kitchen sink with drainboard. Also back-mount faucet. And two Standard mounting brackets are included in the purchase price. CONDITION: Sink: Good vintage condition. No major chips or cracks in the porcelain. Minor chips due appear at various areas at the bottom of the sink. But are very small and only add to the authenticity of this great sink. Some light rust stains DO APPEAR on the drainboard. and the buyer may want to add an additional clear coat to the sink to increase the gloss of the sink. From years of use. The luster of the sink has dulled slightly and an added clear coat wold further help protect the sink from additional dulling and chipping. Faucet: The back-mount faucet is in good vintage/working condition ... moreand fits the sink fine. However the round flange plate pieces which cover the extra space between the faucet and the sink holes have been lost and ARE NOT included with the sink, but can be purchased at any hardware store. Some scratches in the top chrome coating are present. Also the internal pieces of the aerator ARE ABSENT. But are also available for purchase at your local hardware store as is standard procedure when buying a used sink. Mounting Brackets: The Standard mounting brackets are the same size and both manufactured by Standard Plumbing. But DO NOT match. Although they function almost exactly the same, each bracket if from a different era. When they are placed one on top of the other, the mounting hole do match up, however one bracket has more mounting holes than the other. This however doesn't affect the functionality of the brackets. Also some very minor surface rust do appear on the brackets, but is easily cleaned and has not affected the strength of the cast iron. Additional Parts. Pieces, Hardware: Besides the brackets. Up for sale is this 1941 Kohler double basin farm sink complete set in great condition. The sink is approx. 51" wide at widest by 24" front to back by 15" high. The apron is 7" and the back splash is a total of 8" The basins are 21" wide x 17"There is a super deep basin on the right at approx 13" deep and the left is 7" deep. The outside faucet holes are 8" o/c and are standard size deck mount. The sink includes its original adjustable porcelain over cast iron legs, removable drain board, faucet and a set of wall hangers. The sink set is 70+ years old with its original porcelain and has been used. It shows signs of minor wear, sm nicks, scratches, etc etc. but overall is in excellent condition. The drain board is also excellent condition with only 2 minor chips, most are not worthy of a restoration, ... morethis one is original porcelain over steel. The sink is clean and ready for a installation. Original sinks in this condition are few and far between and this is as good as they come. Vintage 1947 Antique double drain board Cast Iron FarmHouse White Kitchen Sink
Up for sale is this 1947 double drain board single basin farm sink. Unique with double soap dish and utility ledge! I have not seen another one quite like this on Ebay or anywhere! The sink is approx 60' wide by 24' front to back by 9' high(Bottom of drain hole to drain board outer edge) The back splash is 5 1/4' from drain board to top. The faucet holes are 6' on center. The old faucet fixtures seen in the pictures were already on this basin and will be included. I do not know if they are usable. The sink is 67+ years old with its original porcelain and has been used. It shows signs of normal wear and tear. Sm nicks, scratches scrapes, etc. There are also some fine age fractures in the porcelain only around the faucet mounting holes(close up shown) These are minor and would most likely be covered with the correct faucet ... morefixture. This sink is original and has never been touched up or professionally restored. You just don't find character like this anymore and these are getting increasingly difficult to find at a reasonable price. Nice antique cast iron white porcelain kitchen sink. Old sink has right side basin and left drainboard. Manufactured by Kohler and dated 11-19-47 The porcelain has pock marks. Scratches, paint splatter, and some light scuff marks. It has 1 small chip on the back edge of the back splash on the right side. It is in good condition with no major defects of damage.
