This filler would be very period-appropriate for a Nicole Curtis/Rehab Addict type project. Because it would pair perfectly with a vintage tub. Anyone who appreciates authentic architectural salvage is aware that a new faucet would be very obvious-too brand-spanking new-when installed with a genuine antique tub! Although there are no deep pits or dents in the metal. The original nickel plating has worn in areas. The faucet could be professionally replated in nickel or another finish to compliment your plumbing fixtures. Vintage Clawfoot Faucet: GOPHER-porcelain hot & cold valves
Thank you for looking. This is a vintage faucet made of nickel plated brass. The handles are intact. Nothing is cracked or broken. The same goes for the porcelain hot& cold inlays. Engraved on the stem of each hand valve is the name GOPHER. It is estimated to be assembled in the 1940's. There is a 3/4" NPT connection on both hot& cold sides. I have not dismantled the assembly in any way therefore I do not know if the seals work or not. Antique Vintage Clawfoot Tub Faucet 'Republic' 1920's w/Connections
This faucet set was removed from a 1920's clawfoot tub. The brand is'Republic' This comes complete with the water supply connections/elbows. The finish is worn and missing all over. If you need a perfect set this will need to be re-plated. However, the mounting nuts and adjustable escutcheons move freely as do the hot/cold stems. The'HOT' porcelain cap has a crack in it(see pics) and there is a wrench mark on the spout(see pics) There are also some mineral deposits here and there. Old nickel plated brass overflow drain pipe with a T connection for a antique clawfoot bathtub. Pipe is in good shape has no cracks. Splits, dents, or breaks. The overflow cover is in good condition and still has its original ring for a drain plug on a chain. The mounting bolt for the overflow cover is slightly bent but it dose not impede its function. There are scratches, wear, light tool marks, and some oxidization on the nickel finish. Measures approx: 12 3/4" from center of the overflow to the end of the pipe. 1 3/8" outside diameter pipe. Which started in 1901, and has a patent number which is for an Adjustable Faucet filed on Dec. 14, 1914, so this is 100 years old later this year. This faucet should clean up quite well and could be used as it is or refinished. This faucet was just removed from a clawfoot bathtub because we needed a faucet with a shower attached to it for certain family members. It was fully functioning when removed and was installed in the early 1960s. The tub was not in a heavily used bathroom. So did not get a lot of use over the years. It is chrome. The openings are 3 3/8 inches on center. Love the vintage look of the knobs and the skinny spindle spout. It will be shipped in a priority mail padded envelope with bubble wrap.
