Antique 19th Cent. Victorian Era Cast Iron & Wood Toilet Paper Holder
This is an antique 19th century Victorian cast iron and wood toilet paper holder ca. 1880's. Notice the cute little gripping hands that mounts it to a wall or cabinet. There is a heavier bar that raises up and down that was apparently used to tear the paper. The frame measures 8" wide x 4 1/8" high; the bar that raises measures 8 7/8" wide and the wood roller measures 7 1/2" wide. The hands are wired on the frame so they would not get lost. This charming toilet tissue holder is made of hand-forged iron which appears to have been painted long ago. I have not cleaned this in any way. It is as I found it.
