Antique Brasscrafters Bathroom Cup Soap Toothbrush Holder
Both pieces are marked The Brasscrafters; the cup/soap holder is also marked with“Pat. Sept. 1901” I’m not absolutely sure about the last number. The toothbrush holder does not seem to go with the soap dish/cup holder. But they are being sold together. The toothbrush holder looks almost unused, but the lower smaller tier is bent. The metal is thinner that that for the other piece and is probably solid brass. The cup holder/soap dish has heavy wear or tarnish to the brass. I don’t know if it is solid brass or plated. There are reddish areas of what looks like copper. My guess would be plate. This piece has no dents or dings. The toothbrush holder is 3 ¼” high and 3 ⅜” wide at its widest. My grandparents removed them from the Wright home and used them in their own home for years in the bathroom. When my grandparents moved from their home my mother took these items for her home. Antique porcelain enamel bathroom WHITE cup & toothbrush holder soap dish hook
Wonderful antique bathroom set from the early 1900s! These are in very good to excellent condition. I would say, considering their age. The white enameled porcelain over cast iron is still shiny white, with no discoloration or staining. There are no chips or broken pieces but a few small nicks down to the iron, mostly in places you don't see, such as around the screw holes. I have spent hours searching for pictures in other places of these pieces; the robe hook is typical, but I have never found this exact soap dish and toothbrush holder design. I did find only one photo of the cup holder at an antique site. To the best of my ability I will try to accurately describe each piece of this fine set: Cup holder- 4" tall. 4 1/4" deep(from the wall) 3 1/4" cup circumference. Underside has a 3/8" nick to the iron and some ... morelight gray scratches Toothbrush holder- 7" long. 2 1/4" deep. Has one tiny nick to the top rim. The second hole from the right has an indentation that looks like a chip, but it does not feel rough or sharp, neither looks like a chip under magnification. Soap dish- 4 3/4" wide. 5" deep. The glaze has worn off on the top surface, probably because of contact with soap, I would suppose. It feels rough. Some small, short, faint gray scratches on the rim. Notice in the photo the hairline fracture on the top and on the underside, where you can see a bit of rust. It looks like a fracture clean-through, but there is no"give" when you apply pressure. Robe hook- 2 1/2" tall. 2 1/4" deep. Has a visible nick to the iron on the top mount rim, three tiny rust specks, and a very small gray scratch. These pieces are in such nice condition that I actually mounted them into drywall for a time in our old farmhouse bathroom just for"looks. took them down when we moved, and they have been in storage since. Up for auction is a ca. 1900 Victorian period solid brass. Wall-mounted toothbrush and cup holder. Please note: This is a period item, it is NOT a reproduction of any kind! This came out of a home in the Garden District in Galveston, Texas. It has the remnants of at least two layers of paint, white and green, so this will need restoration, but there are no structural flaws, damages or repairs. This is an easy restoration, either remove the paint and repaint, or remove the paint and polish the brass. Personally, I would take this down to the brass but I will leave this decision up to the new owner. This measures approximately 3-1/2" wide at it's widest point x 7-1/2" in height with a 5" extension from the wall. Has a great verdigris and old brass patina. The bottom tooth brush holder tray is loose and it moves around but it dose not affect its function. I bought this at a demolished burnout sale and was going to put it in my bathroom. After trying it in place I found that with the length of the toothbrushes and cup I didn't have enough room. So I stopped with the cleaning and am selling as is. There are also some chips. Will be great for an authentic distressed look or for resurfacing. The toothbrush part can come off by removing two bolts. A very old piece that needs a new purpose.

Vintage Toothbrush / Toothpaste & Cup / Soap Dish Holder Seafoam Green Porcelain
For your consideration I have these two old pieces I have rencently replaced with new ones. The toothbrush/ toothpaste holder measures 4" wide by 2 1/2" deep. The cup holder which also could be used as a soap dish if one wanted measures 3 1/4" wide by 3 3/4" deep. Both pieces are very old and have signs of their age and use such as crackling in the finished glaze and a few flea size nicks. All adds to the character of these very fine pieces. On the back both have chips by the mounting hole but this does not effect it from hanging properly from the brackets which are both included. There are only two screws included for the mounting brackets but easy to get new ones which I would recomend doing for both brackets.

The 2 prettier pieces are what I am calling a shaving tray which I think hangs from the wall below the mirror and used to hold shaving brushes and razors etc. Also there is a nice cup and 4 toothbrush holder. They seem to be made of the same heavy metal which does not attack a magnet. I am just not certain of the metal name. There is also a rack that holds a metal soap dish( both included) They do not attack a magnet and are also a heavy substantial metal but not as ornate as first 2 pieces. Antique brass toothbrush cup holder - UNIQUE! no reserve!
I bought this years ago(probably 20 or so) from an antique dealer. It is heavy brass(my guess is solid brass) Cup holder on left side and toothbrush holder on right side with 6 slots for 6 toothbrushes. There is some white paint on the back of the circular disc piece that goes against the wall(you'll never see it when it is mounted to the wall) There also appears to be 1 weld repair under the cup. perhaps it was wobbelly. I don't know, no cracks or anything to indicate that the weld was necessary. The weld is small and toward the backside of bottom of the cup holder. Again, when mounted you won't see it. There is what looks like a manufacturing flaw. It is too round to be a chip. I see no other chips. Cracks, or crazing on it.
